Our second visit in three. The staff were lovely friendly and helpful, the food was delicious and very reasonably priced, I had a couple of pints of Otter , a first class pint. If anyone gives negative feedback they must have gone to a different pub

One very tough steak with dreadful chunky chips, struggling to describe them but really dense, heavy and very strange texture; they were all left on the plate. The fries with the burger in a bun were fine. Both dishes very underwhelming and served less than hot.

Beer flat and not very nice swapped glass no problem but didn't make the Stella any better biggest problem was the garden 2 boymcy castles free foe the kids great but 1 member of staff bought put food 3 times and not once picked up any glasses or empty plates overall pretty poor when customers have to put empties to other tables to sit down

The George Inn was the perfect destination for our annual Team Orange ex RAC Volkswagen van gathering. Elise and her team were fantastic hosts, looking after over 65 of us with a superb carvery and some fine beers. A very friendly pub which is very welcoming to doggy owners and can host large groups. A few of us stayed overnight in our campers and had a beautiful full English breakfast. All in all, a great pub with very friendly staff serving great food. Elise, we can't wait to do it all again next year. Thanks again. 😊

Stopped at this pub for lunch on way home to Ledbury. First impressions were v.good, welcoming, warm, v.clean and a 'proper' traditional pub. Staff very friendly, excellent menu and good value for money. We had Beef lasagne plus Gammon steak. Both dishes piping hot, plus hot plates, good portions, beautifully cooked and presented, and both had lovely flavours. Despite being busy the wait wasn't to long and we both enjoyed our meals in a lovely atmosphere. Definately visit again when in area, highly recommend.

My partner booked us a table here, there were quite afew work men in here on a Friday night but next time we will ask to have a table tucked round the corner if we prefer the quiet but we didn't mind. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly, we came for my birthday back in July and sat in the garden which again the food was delicious. Great service and food, thank you.

We pre booked via the website a large group of 20 people (adults and children), communication was quick and clear, menus were available and we ordered as requested, the pub managed also to accommodate somewhat minute changes to our meals. On arrival bar staff were very friendly and we shown to our tables, food was brought after a few minutes after. Great hot tasty food, good portion size and excellent quality throughout. We purchased drinks directly at the bar by personal choice being large group. Bar service was quick and efficient. Would definitely recommend and happily visit again when I’m the area.

Me and my family came down for a Sunday roast for a carvery on the 24th of September, the food was beautiful, the carvery looked amazing, the head chef who was working the carvery was incredibly polite, very friendly and very professional. I had beef which was cooked to perfection, everyone else has roast turkey and said it was perfect and not dry. We also had bread and butter pudding for desert which was exceptional. All and all beautiful meal and outstanding service. Will definitely be coming back in the future.

What has happened to this place.? Been going there for years. Food is awful. Gammon was disgusting. Calamari was worse than poor. As for the Chefs Curry best thing for that was the bin. Used to love this place now it’s just overpriced Crap. As the prices just a rip off !

Ate here twice in the space of a week whilst on holiday in the area, both on Sundays so took advantage of the carvery. One member of our party did not want carvery either time. The first visit was fine as the pub had a lunch menu that could be ordered from, the second time however there was no lunch menu so it was carvery or bust. In the end they were ‘given permission’ to order something from the kids menu! Both times however the food was hot / fresh and being a carvery there was no wait time. One person reported that the beef was a little tough, but on the second visit was thoroughly impressed with the turkey. Play area outside good for the kids, staff all polite abs friendly, will be back if in the area!

My husband and I went for dinner on a Saturday night. I ordered bruschetta for a starter. It was £6. What I was served with was beyond a disappointment, it certainly wasn't bruscetta, I couldn't even say it was tinned tomatoes on toast ( the only lumps in were what think was green pepper) rather a scraping of tinned tomato juice served on a bog standard white sliced loaf, toasted. ( I felt Italians everywhere dying inside) I asked to speak to a manager, the waitress said she asked but the manager was too busy to see me. I did get a refund of the cost of the 'starter' but no one spoke to me or asked what the issue was, except the waitress who just shrugged and said she didn't know what bruschetta was - one would expect people in the restaurant should know what dishes are especially with food allergies etc.

Stopped here on our journey down to Cornwall to have lunch with a friend. We chose a table outside the pub as it was a nice day, which also allowed our dog to get some shade (when not trying to steal food). Ordered from a menu that had a decent selection and from the specials board. The food was excellent, and there was a lot of it. All three of us enjoyed the salad and its dressing. Food was presented extremely well. Highly recommend the Frito Misto dish.

booked a table for 2 arrived and was shown to table and given menu without any explanation or conversation Sat looking at the menu for 10 mins still no one came for drinks order or information. Went to carvery to ask about menu ourselves although there were a lot of staff around no one bothered with us. Then we heard someone say oh has anyone got drinks for table number xx. That was us and we felt like an inconvenience. It was now 12.25 no drinks no information no communication. It was not even busy at this time but service was not acceptable. Almost left but eventually drinks came and we just asked for carvery meals. The carvery was great and could not fault it one bit but unfortunately the staff service let it down badly.. We then needed to pay there were lots of people waiting at the bar for service one person too intent on chatting at the end of bar and one doing her best running from kitchen dinning room and bar Seems to be a lot of staff not doing a lot and people waiting were saying never been to a place where its so hard to pay etc. Service needs to be thought about a little more and be more organised with actually serving people Would I recommend this place - Yes for the food but only if you are willing to wait and find out information yourself as to what to do etc don't expect the staff to be attentive and be prepared to ask other tables for information which was happening frequently whilst we were eating and about to leave as others had been just sat with menus and given no information on procedures etc.

Poor quality food, seriously overpiced. More expensive than five guys with meat quality similar to a burger van. Both kids burgers were burn't. Nobdy around to complain to. Mediocre chicken burger and chips £14!

My wife and I went to this lovely pub with our dog for dinner. We booked a table in the bar area which is a real cosy bar. Everyone in the bar and the bar staff were so friendly. We sat there for a couple of hours having a drink plus dinner. The food was great, especially the home made pie. We will definitely return.
