When we visited with some friends today, I was very impressed about how accommodating the staff were as I have a dairy intolerance. The only reason why I haven’t given it a 5 is because unfortunately there wasn’t anything on the dessert menu I was able to have although having said that they were able to provide sorbet as an option for me

We were very pleasantly surprised how good Fakenham Tandoori is. It’s entirely unprepossessing outside and certainly not ostentatious inside but clean and capacious. But empty - which was not a good sign. But the freshness of the ingredients, the variety available on the menu and the tastes were excellent. We had a vegetarian biryani, a chicken biryani, a kohai (I think cauliflower or spinach), and some starters. The poppadoms were fine, the chapatis excellent - only the chutneys were a bit poor, though the lime pickle was hearty!

Over priced! £11.95 for toasted sandwich that came with small side salad, small pot shop bought coleslaw and handful chips. Had bacon and brie filling with so much cranberry it tasted more like jam sandwich. With a coffee each bill came to £33. Most costly lunch I've had for ages. Won't be rushing back.

I never write reviews but the food and coffee were so appalling. We ordered 2 bacon baps and 1 sausage and bacon bap, 2 latte's and a black coffee. Food came as sandwiches not baps - bacon baps were £5.50 for dry medium sliced bread and 2 thin slices of bacon. Sausage & bacon bap was £6.50 for 2 tiny bits of bacon and 1 sausage in dry sliced bread. The latte's were more like cups of frothy warm milk, with no coffee. For £26.00, and being in the catering trade. I was speechless at the food offered. If we hadn't been hungry, I would of sent it all back and asked for a refund. Tablecloths sticky, staff unfriendly apart from a young lad who brought us ketchup. When I spoke to the girl behind the counter to say how disappointed we were, there was no apology. All she said was "well I don't cook the baps or set the prices". No ...I am so sorry to hear that, shall I get a manager or thank you for your feedback". Very disappointed, appalled and quite frankly I would be embarrassed at serving up anything like this.

Gone downhill. Had chip buckets a few times over the years but the last one we had at Aylsham lights was just a huge disappointment. £28 for 4 people you would expect quality produce. Only difference between kids cheesy chips and adult one was seemingly a bit of parsley on top, but a price difference of whopping £4. Cheese not melted, just pre-grated flavourless cheese dumped on the top of frozen chips. I had the winter warmer and the sausage tasted undercooked and I had a stomach ache for the rest of the evening. Overpriced, overmarketed, doesn't look anything like the photos on social media. Customer service wasn't great either, grumpy faces, no smiles.
