I never write reviews but the food and coffee were so appalling. We ordered 2 bacon baps and 1 sausage and bacon bap, 2 latte's and a black coffee. Food came as sandwiches not baps - bacon baps were £5.50 for dry medium sliced bread and 2 thin slices of bacon. Sausage & bacon bap was £6.50 for 2 tiny bits of bacon and 1 sausage in dry sliced bread. The latte's were more like cups of frothy warm milk, with no coffee. For £26.00, and being in the catering trade. I was speechless at the food offered. If we hadn't been hungry, I would of sent it all back and asked for a refund. Tablecloths sticky, staff unfriendly apart from a young lad who brought us ketchup. When I spoke to the girl behind the counter to say how disappointed we were, there was no apology. All she said was "well I don't cook the baps or set the prices". No ...I am so sorry to hear that, shall I get a manager or thank you for your feedback". Very disappointed, appalled and quite frankly I would be embarrassed at serving up anything like this.

Very limited food choice and poor quality for the money paid. Cake was dry and cheap.butter cream.. sandwich choice was not great and poor quality bread. Strange as one of he ideas behind Wroxham barns is to.highlight local.crafts and artisans, the food offering let's local.artists and artisans down.

On a rainy, wet afternoon we booked an afternoon tea in The Courtyard Cafe. It was delicious, youngest had the children's tea and the rest of us the adults. Delicious sandwiches and sausage rolls, fruit scones and a lovely selection of cakes. We started off with hot chocolates / americanos and there was unlimited tea, filter coffee and water after that. Staff were friendly and attentive, the price was reasonable and we were offered (and took) a box to take away the cakes we couldn't manage. Definitely recommend a visit.

We called into Courtyard cafe for breakfast today 15/12 and wish we hadn't.We ordered a bacon bun and a bacon&sausage bun plus 2 teas £15.40,the only positive was it was a decent cup of tea. When the buns came they were the brioche burger buns my wife's bacon bun looked to have a decent amount of bacon in it but it was all very fatty,my sausage bun had 2 fatty pieces of bacon and 1 sausage for nearly £6,my wife asked for well done bacon which she didn't get.Over all very disappointed

I had fruit scone which was very over cooked sultanas were like stone all on the outside and very dry scone even with the jam and cream. We booked an afternoon tea. Brilliant value. Children's sandwiches included what I call proper Norfolk ham and the kids loved it. Cakes were very tasty and it was a lovely surprise to find out that a special drink was also included. We had the brownie and Eaton mess ice cream milkshakes and they were lovely. Lovely setting to sit in as well Many thanks to the staff and compliments to the chef. Would definitely recommend and hope to come again soon 😁

Appalling side salads on our lunch today, salad leaves we’re actually rotten. How anyone can call themselves a cook let alone a chef and still send that out is unbelievable. £8.50 for a ham a cheese baguette and they can’t even give you a fresh salad? Won’t ever return

Took 35 WI members to Wroxham barns, calling in to get some lunch. Firstly it was card only which was difficult for some members, the menu on the website stated could get gluten free but when a member tried to order she was told they needed 24 hours notice but they could do her a piece of toast. Half an hour later the lady in question was leaving as we had to get on our coach the toast arrived. Poor menus.

I don’t understand why this cafe was still using disposables plates and cutlery when we visited today. They clearly have crockery and dishwashing facilities. Eating from a paper cup and card board box was not a pleasurable experience. Our soup was OK but arrived lukewarm and we had to ask for it to be reheated.

My husband and I were treated to afternoon tea on Saturday afternoon by our family, all 10 of us, 6 adults and 4 children really enjoyed the teas, 3 different filled finger sandwiches, scones with jam and cream and an assortment of lovely cakes, as much tea and coffee as we wanted, all served by friendly helpful staff, and boxes were provided to take home uneaten cakes!. We will certainly visit again when we are altogether next.

Visited today, looking forward to going to the cafe for some refreshments. Surprised that it was empty, having seen the prices on the menu though I was less surprised. I like to support local businesses but not at the cost of being ripped off. A sausage role £3.45 was extortionate. Why do they have to charge so much? They lost two covers today due to extreme overpricing. Sadly this is not somewhere we will visit again.

My friend and I decided to have a day trip to Norfolk by coach on an arranged visit. Part of the excursion, was a planned visit for an hour to Wroxham Barns. Due to it being a birthday outing , I decided to book on line before the day, an Afternoon Tea to surprise my friend. I paid the deposit of £5.00 a head and planned a time to suit us taking into account our coach would be leaving on time. When we arrived earlier than anticipated, the table had reserved on it, and we made ourselves known to the staff. I gave our preference for drinks . This was done at the till, and then I paid the balance We ordered pot of tea and large Latte, which was included in the price, and this arrived 5 minutes before our lovely selection arrived of freshly made sandwiches, scones with jam and cream, and a variety of cakes. We were not disappointed, they were as delicious as they looked. My friend delighted. Well done, to the staff, for making us feel special and supplying us with a quick and efficient service. looking at other customers who had ordered food gave us the impression the quality was excellent and the food looked well presented. The customers all seemed happy. When we go to Norfolk, we will certainly be visiting Wroxham Barnes, and eating at the Cafe. We'll done! We hope you will have a special Christmas tea, that we can enjo in December?

We were really disappointed in our visit. The menu is limited, there is no table service (which given the number of staff wouldn't be beyond the realms of possibility) and the food isn't great. This is our second visit as it was so good last time. This time however was not good. The food was just ok and our grand daughters fish fingers were grey, not fluffy white fish. The green beans were so obviously yesterday's and today's as half were greener than the others. Our soup was supposed to be leek and potato but you wouldn't really know. This restaurant has change so much used to extremely well presented food and good quality. Salad was old and limp and not even edible, choices very limited to eat, Ham and cheese platter with Parma Ham better suited to a pizza. Brie which was nice and no other cheese not even cheddar. No cables of Scones on display like there used to be, picnic in future I think, as a waste of nearly seventy pounds.

There is the old cliché – don’t judge a book by its cover. That was certainly the case with the restaurant at Wroxham Barns. Walking in we were faced with several large, empty tables strewn with dirty crockery, cutlery, glasses and cups! However, were greeted by a very friendly member of staff who said they were having an extremely busy lunchtime and there was a bit of a delay on food. If we did not mind waiting she would get us to our table asap. Within five minutes we were sat down. The menu was reassuringly limited and reasonably priced. While we did have to wait half an hour or so for the food to arrive the staff were very apologetic and it was worth the wait. Clearly both mains and deserts were made on premises and all was delicious. To sum up – good service and good food!

We stopped at the restaurant after spending an afternoon on the children’s rides and mini golf. We didn’t know the restaurant was due to close in 30 minutes and nobody told us this when we entered or when we ordered. Thankfully we just wanted a quick stop in the shade to feed our baby. We ordered light bites including a piece of chocolate cake. The cake was very deep with not enough filling for the very dry sponge. The overall flavour was nice but it needed more filling and was perhaps not as fresh as it could have been. Scone and tea cake were good. Pot of tea was equally good but latte so hot it couldn’t be drunk before the restaurant closed.

The Wroxham Barns Restaurant provided us everything we needed when we visited Wroxham Barns. The restaurant had a good ambience and the choice on the menu was excellent. My wife had a lovely salad and I had the chowder, which i very much enjoyed and was of a good quality however I did find it a little too creamy for my liking. We all enjoyed our lunches. 2 of the party had the fish of the day, which I think was halibut on a bed of roasted tomatoes, it was very attractively presented, and they both said they enjoyed it. I had a pulled pork Panini with the best potato wedges ever - slices of a crispy jacket potato. We all had tea / coffee and my brother managed pecan pie with salted caramel ice cream. Visited with grandchildren for lunch, on arrival we waited to be seated and became aware of a female who appeared to be in charge, we were very conscious of he distainful manner when looking at us waiting and being sat at the table. She directed staff and generally had the air of ‘importance’? We ordered food and the children had sausage and mash and we had ‘posh cheese in toast’ nothing posh about this and the bread was not toasted and plain. No one asked about our meals to see if it was ok so had no opportunity to deal with this until we went to the counter to pay. I told the waiter taking the money about the bread not being toasted and all he said was ‘oh’ and smiled. I also asked about the woman who was standing watching on our arrival and he laughed and said ‘don’t worry she wasn’t watching you but observing staff’ he had little conception about how her manner might impact on customers, she was decidedly haughty and this made for an unwelcoming atmosphere. We paid and left. Would think twice about returning given the poor experience and unfriendly atmosphere, come on Wroxham Barns is this how you treat local people ???

We have visited Wroxham Barns on many occasions and have had numerous afternoon teas in the restaurant. One of the latest visits had good friendly service, although the table and menus were sticky and needed a good wipe down. As always the scones and cakes were very nice, but on this occasion the sandwiches had shrunk somewhat! We had previously had half sandwiches with crusts on but this time it was typical finger sandwiches but very few of them. Usually the savoury and sweet proportions are a good mix but there wasn't enough sandwiches to fill us on this occasion. I've just seen a new post by Wroxham Barns with a photo with the half size crusts on sandwiches that I would expect but this wasn't what we got. However we enjoyed what we had and took some cake away with us.

We were a table of 9 but they soon slotted us in. Good variety of family food which arrived in good time and everyone enjoyed their choice. Friendly staff very willing to help.

Once again went to Wroxham Barns 3rd time of visiting the restaurant. Once let me down the cake I picked was stale and hard. Took back and picked another this was better but a bit burnt on the edge. Going to try the other cafe next time

We visited the Wroxham Barns a number of years ago and it was an interesting place then. Now it seems to have lost its way and doesn't provide anything of any interest.

Being Vegan, it was disappointing to see no Vegan items on the menu BUT they're very accommodating and will adapt anything to make it Vegan...No questions asked AND they stock dairy free milk.

Good selection of beverages and snacks. The meals that came out also looked excellent. Nice friendly and helpful staff - nothing too much trouble.

Excellent cream tea. Well presented and lots of choice and the fruit scone was light, fluffy and huge. No squirty cream here, real clotted cream. There we no problems when i asked for an extra shot of coffee in my cappuccino. The service was good and the staff attentive. If I had a criticism it was that this was for a birthday treat and it would have been nice if they had placed our party of three in a separate area from customers in for their sausage and mash lunch and maybe a table cloth would have made the experience just that bit special as they had gone to the trouble of making the afternoon tea itself look lovely. Maybe When we booked we should have asked, but just making an area for these special afternoon teas with a little table cloth too would have resulted in top marks from me. I Would go again and have the cream tea as it was very nice but not for a special afternoon tea occasion.

The location is lovely, the staff are really nice and the food is delicious, but the portions are humongous. To the point where I left literally half of my lunch, which was a real shame, and even with that there was no room for a dessert or cake.

Visited for a light lunch. Despite being close to Christmas it had a rather sad feel to it. Appreciate the weather didn't help; windy and damp, but because the restaurant is in a "barn" like the other units, it felt a bit temporary. The two electric fans weren't ideal solutions to heating and we soon felt cold. Posh cheese on toast (menu description) for 3, 1 panini, 3 elderflower cordials and tea for 4 - £35. Enough for a lacklustre run of the mill lunchtime bite. The other outlets are a strange mix although the homewares/clothing unit was good for a browse.

I have visited this restaurant a number of times over the past years. On my recent visit I was pleased to see their overhaul performance is still excellent. The service was very good and I Was well looked after. The menu is also interesting with some unusual dishes. I had Sea Bream with potatoes and other delightful trimmings. It is worth a try when visiting Wroxham Norfolk. I will certainly return.

My daughter treated me to lunch here today and we both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We had memories of the wonderful smoked haddock and bacon chowder, and today it was even better than we remembered. Mine came with very nice gluten free seeded bread, my daughter's with a roll. We had a glass of excellent wine each too. The service was also excellent. Regrettably we were too full for a sweet, but I noticed very nice looking cakes, including several gluten free choices in the display cabinet. Next time! We will definitely be back, and won't leave it so long next time. Thank you.

We had a great lunch and, on another day, a great afternoon tea. The staff were friendly and the food was plentiful and tasty. It was VERY busy, so just a little noisy for my tastes, but I am sometimes picky. It is safer to book a table, but we got served without having booked. Just lucky, I guess!

Previous review moaning about the Plougmans and its one slice of ham and the small piece of Cheese was totaly off the mark. The Slices of ham on mine were 5 and the Cheese was a big wedge and the slime refered to was Salad Dressing which I could not fault, all in all it was a real platefull..The service was second to none as always.

I was on a coach trip and given 2 hours to visit the Barns. A bit long for me as I'm not into any sort of arts and crafts complexes. I had a browse then decided to spend the rest of the time in this restaurant where I could just sit and eat till time was up.

I had lunch with my elderly parents today. My father enjoyed his sausage but my fish pie filling wasn’t nice and some of the fish didn’t taste fresh, the mash topping was nice but the filling was a poor attempt at what can be a lovely tasty dish. My mum had the beer battered fish and chips. The beer batter was overpowering to the fish and tasted like the oil was old. I tried some of my mums and agreed with her. It’s two years since I have eaten here and it was a disappointment.

If you want to eat awful and not healthy than best you camp in. Food is cold, staff are rude and faces like they don't wanna be there. Short woman was very rude and you could hear them shouting out the back. Some man who appeared to be friends with them messing around outside. This isn't what i like to see when eating out. HUGE let down girls. They need to be more polite and have a better manner and not shout so much!!!

Stayed overnight, dinner was good, breakfast was atrocious! Over cooked bacon, sausages, hash browns and eggs, whether, poached or fried were hard and burnt. The toast was beyond crispy, frightened to eat the crusts in case we broke our teeth. The room was nice, Myrtle, needs a long mirror on the blank wall near the plug points. Staff friendly and accommodating at dinner.
