This is not called il Caprese anymore - Michael’s Bistro as it is now called, was lovely for starters but the main courses were disappointing - it’s a shame’s especially the ramen which was without chili
We had walked from Cromer to Sheringham on he beach and back via coastal path found ourselves in east runton , what a great treat we found Sammys . The Sunday lunch was delicious, great service and dog friendly what’s not to like ! If you are in the area definitely worth a visit .
First Just to say we have visited the above lots of times , both with my partner and with family groups,, we always find the staff fantastic as is the food service, We booked a large group for a birthday celebration, we have them make and supply a birthday cake , they let us have a bunch of flowers on the table et,, so no complaints other than the fact that most the people us and others in the restaurant had to keep there costs on when dining, we was given fires but it really still was not warm and I had to keep my coat on all the time,, it’s a pity but in its cold in the restaurant we will not return in till the weather gets warmer, pity
What a lovely fish bar. It appears to be an independent, owner run business.
Everyone was very welcoming and accommodating.
The cod was exceptional….fresh, large meaty chunks with ample ‘proper’ chippy chips.
All in all… Great value.
For my tastes, the curry sauce lacked substance, very thin but everything else was really tasty.
We will be back.
A family lunch with my wife, Mother-In-Law, and friend. We've been a few times before and always came away feeling happy and well fed. Yesterday was no exception. The food was absolutely superb, hot, and excellent value for money. Ronan is a great guy and host. Andrew was very attentive and made sure all was well. We will be back again in the new year, several times no doubt. An absolute gem.
Been here before as we are fairly local and it was good. But this time terrible and very expensive we had roast pork with apple sauce, stuffing and crackling. Meat was mostly really Fatty and baguette was filled mostly with stuffing best bit was the crackling. At £8 each I expect far better just ripping off the holiday makers. Don’t think we will be going again. It was barely warm so back to the pie man at sheringham for us.
We stopped here on the off chance and so very glad we did. Hubby ordered fish chowder with a big crusty roll and I had crab and butternut squash soup with a roll too.
It was a cold and very rainy day and this just hit the spot. Can honestly say it’s the best homemade soup either of us have ever had, which is the reason for the review. Absolutely delicious.
Thank you
Takeaways from this AMAZING DELI in Cley is FANTASTIC!! I always get us lunch or treats for home and ordered 2 GINORMOUS CAKES FOR MY BIRTHDAY PARTY AT HOME AND THEY WERE GORGEOUS! Victoria Sponge and Chocolate!! Everyone commented!!
I would highly recommend, for families and dog friendly, lovely welcoming couple, delicious fresh baked bread sandwiches, good thick bacon! Welldone and thank you
I found this cafe, whilst looking around Cromer. Whilst there, I had a latte and a bag of sea salted crisps. The latte was very fresh and was hot. The price was good and the staff were great, friendly and caring. I would recommend this cafe.
Cute little place quite snug. Service is friendly but Eggs Benedict came with dried out muffin you could not fit into murdered bacon and poached eggs where rather well done, hollandaise is Alfredo straight out of the bottle. All in all a very disappointing breakfast
We had been here before but didn’t leave a review. So on our visit to the shrine in Walsingham my wife and I decided to revisit Read and Digest Tea Room. It was a chilly day and we went in and there were tables available. The lady owner was very friendly and gave us the menus. We both opted for the mushroom soup I had tiger bread with it and my wife had a cheese scone. The place is quirky and interesting and a nice calm atmosphere. Our soups arrived with a decaf latte for my wife and a pot of Assam tea for me. The soup was delicious, full of flavour and warm the scone/bread was accompanied with a quality small pot of butter. The tea was stunning, I even asked the lady where did she get the leaves from and she made a concerted effort to give me the website. A lovely calm lunch experience and this will be our go to place when we return.
Great tea shop in lovely setting just a couple of minutes walk from the centre of Cromer. Set in beautiful gardens with a boating pool for the kids. A real hidden gem
Walked in just as they were closing and clearing up, yet received a really warm welcome as I'd we were the first customers of the day.
Lovely old school tea shop with great cakes, friendly service and a welcome break from the rain.
Would recommend when visiting Wells
