Fabulous coffee, selected and made with passion and expertise. He knows his stuff and produces excellent coffees both espresso and filter based, including pour over, which is rare! The coffees are very interesting and not your run of the mill beans; some are a really new experience! Always busy despite being a really tiny place - visit if you can!
Breakfast was delicious (veggie) the Julie and her team are always friendly and helpful, good value all round not rushed in any way. The bonus was a roaring fire in the log burner, will be back !
We called in for lunch today and immediately were impressed with the friendly and welcoming staff. The cortado I had was out of this world and the toasted sandwich was the best I’ve had in a long time. Another feature I liked was the deli with its well stocked cheese. I will be back!
Marriott Way Siding The Engine, Melton Constable England, England
A hidden gem in this somewhat forgotten part of N.Norfolk.
But having been on a adhoc basis, to this establishment I’ve been impressed with the quality of the food and drink, it’s a really different, rustic and appealing bakery/cafe/restaurant.
My main gripe is that the management seem to struggle for commitment and direction.
It takes real hard work and effort to get a new business in this profession up and running. This Siding, has seemed to manage to do… but I’ve often questioned, if the management have got their heart in the job, as often on holidays and days in the tourist season, when they should have been open to the public and ‘making hay’… well they were closed.
STOP PRESS… this business and establishment has now closed permanently. So the feeling that I got about commitment has now come to pass, as it seems the owner/s are moving abroad.
It’s a great location and it was a popular brand… I do hope a new owner can be found and the early success can be regained!
Went today 24.08.22 and had wonderful service and great food.
First stopped off just for coffee, then went back for a delicious and refreshing cucumber & mint iced tea, returned again for some scrumpies pasties, toasties, sausage rolls and a to die for crab salad sandwich and then returned one final time for proper dairy ice creams bigger than the kids heads!! 😆
Highly recommended by us all ♥️
What a lucky find when we decided at the last minute to go out for a meal and found coastal places had tables available only at very early times. Piece of luck for us as we looked inland instead and went to Aldborough. The new owners at what we knew as the Black Boys deserve all the success they can get as they have obviously put their hearts and souls into creating a very welcoming pub which does not follow the example of many gastropubs in no longer welcoming regular drinkers. Not that we went there for just a drink but for dinner too and the food was delicious, with very generous portions. We will be back and will suggest to our holiday guests that they give it a try too.
We enjoyed a very tasty jacket potato and sausage baguette, washed down with mugs of Terrys Orange hot chocolate. The ingredients are obviously of a high quality and the staff are friendly and efficient. Prices are also reasonable and altogether it's an enjoyable place to visit.
On a Broads boating holiday, we were moored at Gayes Staithe, in need of some odds and sods. The walk into the village from there takes around 15-20 mins, but much quicker if you're moored at Neatishead. It's a cracking little shop, with all the essentials you're likely to need - the basic groceries, ciggies & drinks etc, as well as some nice Norfolk-themed gifts - I brought back some jam and a scented candle as a thankyou to my neighbours who have been feeding the cat for the last week.
Things were sensibly priced, not a tourist trap cash grab! The lady serving was very friendly too. As an added bonus, the White Horse pub is just opposite, so we stopped in for a much needed refuelling before the walk back to the boat. No doubt we'll be back for next year's Broads holiday.

Great coffee, cake and lunch options. We can be fussy about our coffee and being vegetarian we can be difficult to cater for but this was a great place. Attentive staff who made us and our dog very welcome. Best place in Mundesley. Seems small at first sight but seating upstairs for more room.
This our local favourite "go to" restaurant, we consider ourselves so lucky to have such a great place on our doorstep, always good food, great staff, highly recommended.
new year’s party, great pub with interesting twist, we brought tickets for party, got there at 7.00 and were invited to have a seat upstairs in cocktail lounge, lovely comfortable chairs and great staff who waited on us at the table, even though we left at 21.00 it was an experience
Called in for a coffee which is superb.
The sweet mincemeat croissant waffle is absolutely delicious.Better than any traditional mince pie.Go and give it a try👍🎄
Meg's is brilliant! four of us plus our dog went for breakfast. We got a friendly welcome with the dog made to feel very welcome as we were offered a sausage for him as soon as we sat down. All the drinks and food were freshly made and the service excellent. Clearly it is popular with locals and that's always a good sign.
I highly recommend a visit.
We visited today when passing through the area. What a lovely place. Really good coffee and sweet treats available. Such warm friendly staff who all made us feel so welcome.
Fab childrens area too, which made our visit even better, as we relaxed while our little one played. Will definitely come again when we are in Sheringham. Thank you 😊
