Found this open on the last day of our short break and left wishing it had been open earlier in the week. The best vibes and coffee in Holt by a long mile.

Best coffee in Holt by a mile. Popped in here with the buggy very accommodating and nice locals. Coffee best in town by some way.

We visited this during the week but found it to be closed but fortunately open on Saturday morning. As in previous reviews: Yes we had the cliche cinnamon roll. Yes the barista was enjoying talking to the locals. Yes the coffee blend was good and very palatable. Prices are high but comparable with other Holt cafés.

Just the very best coffee in Holt. If there is a queue it is well worth any waiting time. On a Saturday morning always like to pair my coffee with a cinnamon bun.

I'll keep it simple, if you take your coffee very seriously bordering on a true coffee snob like myself, this is undoubtedly I repeat undoubtedly the best coffee/bar in Holt. I'm a daily visitor I live in the area but if your up here for a nice little weekend and you love your coffee. It's right here. That actually wasn't keeping it that simple. Enjoy.

Nice coffee but nothing special. The cinnamon buns were really cold, almost like they had been frozen, and lacked any real cinnamon taste. Definitely not worth the £3+ price tag. The place is very cute though.

Stopped off here on a rainy day with my family. Really lovely latte and mocha, plus hot chocolate for the boys. Very friendly owner who clearly knows great tasting coffee! Will definitely be back.

We called in here after friends recommended the cinnamon buns and coffee. Wish we hadn't. When we asked if they had any buns, the chap behind the counter was brusque and seemed more interested in chatting with what appeared to be two of his regular customers. We would have ordered coffees but didn't bother. We could do without the attitude and there are plenty of better places. We won't be back.

Very good coffee and cakes. Small indoor seating area and two tables out side. Good for couples and a bit different.

I’ve been coming here since it opened, excellent coffee, tasty food, never disappoints and not at all “Poncy” as 1 reviewer states!

A gem of a coffee shop off the beaten track in a town with so many coffee shops to choose from. Excellent service and exceptional knowledge of coffee makes this a must for residents and visitors. You won’t be disappointed.

Lovely little bar for a coffee and pastry but trying too hard to appeal to a more middle class eco friendly market. Hidden away in a side street of Holt, it can easily be overlooked but it really is in a nice quiet location and very relaxing whilst perched on one of the outside stools Great coffee and fabulous cinnamon buns but honestly, the place is just a bit too pretentious with its bio dynamic vegetables (something to do with growing produce and the phases of the moon) and organic wines. That said, the cakes and savouries are lovely - especially the sausage rolls. Prices are on the high side for a coffee and cake but hey, this is a unique place and it is in Holt.

This place is amazing. Beautiful coffee and the most amazing Cinnamon Buns. Small but absolutely brilliant. We have been going all week and won't be going anywhere else for our take-out breakfast.

Happened to park on this road and was seduced by the coffee aroma. Bought an Americano to go. Excellent flavour. Did look at the buns and sausage rolls and will not resist them next time. Which will be sooner rather than later

Absolutely love this place! The best cinnamon buns and sausage rolls. Amazing natural wine that tastes out of this world. You can tell the owners really care AND know their stuff - it’s so great to know my coffee is being made by an expert, you can taste the difference. Plus all the baking is amazing, locally sourced and made in house. Looks cute too! 10/10.

Holt is a bimbling town and ably served by cafes, each with their own identity. The Wandering Whelk is nicely tucked away by a car park. We opted for coffee and toasted tea cakes but the menu was full of breakfast/ brunch treats. There were cakes too. It was very clean, relaxing and speedy service. It is an ideal place to linger over coffee and "a little something" as Winnie the Pooh might say

Called in Today for a quick snack & drink as we have been here several times in the past. Unfortunately it was not quite the same as it was a couple of years ago. One member of staff was not as customer friendly as she could have been. Food was less than average. Sorry but we won't be returning

Best iced coffee ever! A regular here, staff always helpful and polite. Place is always clean and tidy. Food is always freshly cooked. Dogs always welcomed with a bowl of fresh water and a butcher's sausage. Today after a stressful morning I needed a nice friendly place to go. No brainer! Megs and an iced coffee, all is right again with the world. Thanks Thomaz

A lovely spontaneous night away in a truly peaceful, dog friendly village pub. We are always on the lookout for the perfect north Norfolk dog friendly hotel and this was a top contender! Lovely room with a ginormous bath and bathroom, with its own entrance, which is great for our noise sensitive labrador (any excuse to woof!). We ate dinner in the tranquil beer garden (have a pie-they’re immense!!), which was perfect for a warm summer’s evening (yes we do sometimes get them In the UK it seems). The chips were proper chips and the pie wasn’t just a lid! I’m vegetarian and there were several choices for me including two different pie options. Breakfast inside the pub was equally good-a fairly traditional menu, but that suited us fine…we both had full English (one veggie) and thoroughly enjoyed it. Would we come back? 100%. We preferred this to Brancaster White Horse.
