The best restaurants in North Norfolk East of England

We ate some very tasty breakfast baps and drank some great coffee. Lovely to sit outside and look across the creek. Very friendly and welcoming.

Popped in around midday so there wasn’t much left. Scotch egg was nice and meaty although £4 was abit steep. Coffee £3 was a generic push button machine, zero flavour just milky so felt ripped off. The place was clean and tidy and the gentleman serving was friendly

We just had Sunday lunch at the kings arms pub and it was fantastic good food and we will be back again next week. It pays to book as it gets very busy

We enjoyed a very tasty jacket potato and sausage baguette, washed down with mugs of Terrys Orange hot chocolate. The ingredients are obviously of a high quality and the staff are friendly and efficient. Prices are also reasonable and altogether it's an enjoyable place to visit.

Had a takeaway from the pinewoods site. Portions aren’t large and it’s not cheap. The spring rolls and satay chicken, with duck noodles were the hits. Shame the gosh cakes didn’t come with usual dipping sauce I’d expect but instead given sweet chilli.

On a Broads boating holiday, we were moored at Gayes Staithe, in need of some odds and sods. The walk into the village from there takes around 15-20 mins, but much quicker if you're moored at Neatishead. It's a cracking little shop, with all the essentials you're likely to need - the basic groceries, ciggies & drinks etc, as well as some nice Norfolk-themed gifts - I brought back some jam and a scented candle as a thankyou to my neighbours who have been feeding the cat for the last week. Things were sensibly priced, not a tourist trap cash grab! The lady serving was very friendly too. As an added bonus, the White Horse pub is just opposite, so we stopped in for a much needed refuelling before the walk back to the boat. Great coffee, cake and lunch options. We can be fussy about our coffee and being vegetarian we can be difficult to cater for but this was a great place. Attentive staff who made us and our dog very welcome. Best place in Mundesley. Seems small at first sight but seating upstairs for more room.

This our local favourite "go to" restaurant, we consider ourselves so lucky to have such a great place on our doorstep, always good food, great staff, highly recommended.

More than generous scoups of gelato, intense flavours, inside seating which was a bonus. Looking forward to trying other flavours next visit

I’d rate this 5/5 on service alone as it was exceptional, which is such a rare thing these days! All the staff, and there are plenty, are gracious, attentive and thoughtful without being overbearing or pushy. The Suffield Arms has a great menu on offer with a wide selection of sophisticated tapas (ie not just Patatas bravas and chorizo), a couple of pasta dishes and pizzas plus specials. The food was exceptional - I had Sole (a special) and my husband had pizza which we finished with a shared delicious tiramisu (plenty for us). It’s worth mentioning the great selection of beer, wine and cocktails on offer and the impressive and comfortable surroundings. There is a general bar which is simply furnished and includes a pool table, a stylish upstairs lounge bar as well as the elegant dining room and continental feeling walled garden with views across the surrounding countryside. The Suffield Arms is right next to Gunton station so handy for a trip from Cromer or North Walsham.

Best iced coffee ever! A regular here, staff always helpful and polite. Place is always clean and tidy. Food is always freshly cooked. Dogs always welcomed with a bowl of fresh water and a butcher's sausage. Today after a stressful morning I needed a nice friendly place to go. No brainer! We visited today when passing through the area. What a lovely place. Really good coffee and sweet treats available. Such warm friendly staff who all made us feel so welcome. Fab childrens area too, which made our visit even better, as we relaxed while our little one played. Will definitely come again when we are in Sheringham. Thank you 😊

We had the satay curry, my husbands with meat myself the vegan one. Super tasty. Super filling. Great value. A must go to. We will be back !

Recommended to us by a fellow broads boat chap. We had the covered area outside as we had the dog with us. Table service which was nice. Tapas selection different but amazing. Chilie beef the best i've had for ages. Very generous portions, even took some home. Burgers also great and decent portions. Felt like a special menu. Service was great too - highly recommend if in the area.

This little deli restaurant does a great job. Food prep is excellent tastes great and the service was superb, Soups were excellent . can't go wrong here.
