A cosy Tea Room with a good menu including breakfast, brunch, lunch, light bites, kids and sweet treats. The jacket potatoes that we chose were hot and tasty with a fresh side of salad. The homemade fruit scone was served warm with a generous portion of jam and cream. All reasonably priced. Staff friendly and efficient.

We went in here for a cup of tea and a snack. Lovely welcome although busy. I ordered a crab sandwich, which came with salad, coleslaw and some crisps - far too much for me so my husband helped out! He ordered a fruit scone with butter and jam. Everything was lovely - fresh and tasty. Would certainly recommend.

Ate here twice and both times we were met with a great welcome by the friendly team here. A comfortable clean tea room only a short walk from the seaside with an extremely tempting menu and a specials board. Both breakfast and a midday meal were amazing and could quite happily have only eaten here for the whole trip. Highly recommended and will definitely revisit on my next trip.

We stumbled across this lovely little cafe as we came off the beach at Cromer, it is located between the beach and main Church. We received a warm welcome as we requested a table for two. We liked the fact that the menu was a little different and very reasonably priced. We both enjoyed a smoothie with our lunch and everything was very tasty. We hope to return when next in the area.

Went in with my 2 children. Had coffee and cake - both very nice. When it came to paying, it took a long time for the card machine to work - no problem, I understand that card machines can be temperamental. They then said it was the signal and told me I would have to pay in cash. I did not have any cash on me so they I was 'told' that it was "no problem", I would have to walk to the local cash machine. Well actually, it was a problem - I don't even know my pin number and didn't wish to walk to a cash machine - I just wanted to pay. I politely gave feedback that if this happens frequently, they should put a sign up warning people they might need to pay by cash rather than waiting until after customers have eaten to inform them! The reply to this was 'we don't have room for any more signs - this is Cromer - we are on the edge and don't have much signal.'. 1. Other shops in Cromer seem to have no problem with taking card payments (or they just specify they take cash only) and 2. I don't appreciate being spoken to like a child and so loud....so everyone can hear!

To which the waitress replied they’d stopped serving eggs now! Wow....who knew it was such an effort to scramble an egg, especially a few minutes past the finish time. On a busy Easter Saturday there were not many places that weren’t busy in Cromer, we considered our options, I wanted crab, I didn’t mind if it was a sandwich, salad or some other way. Hubby saw this little place had seats available, so we decided that we would try it. He ordered the chicken, cheese and sweet chilli sauce panini, I had a crab salad. We ordered tea for two to go with it. Tables were clean, we were near the window at the front, space was a little tight, but it was ok, our teapot, two cups, jug of milk arrived quite quickly, the tea was good, strong tea, just what we needed. Our lunch arrived in about ten mins of sitting down, acceptable timing as the panini had to be cooked.. my crab salad looked wonderful, and was presented nicely, salad across middle of plate, crab was very nice, no loose shell pieces. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. His panini came with a small salad, 2 good size pieces of panini, he said it was yummy. The staff were very attentive, happy atmosphere, cleanliness was good. Toilet was one large room, which was clean and tidy, large enough for wheelchair user or parent and child I think. Well done Buttercup tearooms.

The food was very good well cooked and presented, we had to wait for a while before our order was placed, however it's a busy local pub which caters for holiday makers also so this could have been the reason for the wait. Cheerful and pleasant staff, I would certainly eat there again.

We felt that you went above and beyond to make sure that we got the delivery and the food was very tasty with HUGE portion sizes! It arrived piping hot (even though was delivered!) and it was a very speedy process from ordering to arriving. The delivery person was very friendly too and very impressive that they found the lodge in the darkness!!!! Thanks for being so accommodating and for such delicious food. Very grateful.

Best Afternoon Tea ever! A nine course extravaganza with everything home made from taster pies, sausage rolls, scones (cheese and sweet with jam and cream) plus sandwiches and cakes and a lovely cherry mousse. As much tea and coffee as we needed served in tasteful china with proper serviettes and tablecloth. Lovely smiling service and great value for money. If we lived nearer we’d be back every week!
