Looks like it had been closed for some time, door unlocked and disheveled inside. It’s a shame the signage doesn’t make that clear. We wasted a lot of time parking and walking there!

My friend and I both ordered the Holloumi Caesar salad and were very disappointed that it consisted mainly of chopped up lettuce and croutons with some holloumi. There was a little drizzle of dressing and Parmesan on top. When we queried this their reply was ‘this is what a Caesar salad is’. They argued with us and made no attempt to remedy the situation satisfactorily. There was also no list of ingredients for the salad on the menu. We were made to feel that we were in the wrong and left with a bad taste in our mouths.

Today I sat and watched tens of dragon flies ,swirling over some beautiful gardens. I hadn't been here for a long time but I was pleasantly surprised at what a hidden treasure this place is. Luckily we arrived before the mid morning and lunchtime rush and sat in full sunshine. Glorious! If we wanted we could have sat under a huge parasol or indoors, but it was far too nice to do that. Service was prompt and very friendly and courteous . The drinks were chilled and quickly brought to us. The food was very good , we had panini which were served with a side salad and some crisps. The are several choices on the menu , both hot and cold and there's also a specials board with a good selection. Set in beautiful grounds , this small but perfect place is a hidden gem . I shall definitely return and wonder at the flying show of the dragonflies . Glorious!

Visiting from Australia we called into Pretty Corner to follow in the footsteps of my husband's father who was born in the area and often talked of Pretty Corner. We loved the tea gardens with a very picturesque setting in the woods . THe garden is all nooks and crannies and the toilets made me laugh as you have to go through the yard up steps overhung with lilac to outdoor toilets. ( beautifully clean and presented).I enjoyed an excellent ploughmans lunch with local cheese and pork pie while my husband chose a tasty baked potato with chilli. Staff were very friendly and attentive. there was a disclaimer notice asking for understanding and patience when times are busy but despite quite a lot of customers we didnt wait at all as plenty of staff in evidence. menu was very interesting and I liked the fact local produce is used.Dogs are welcome and I noticed a number of well behaved dogs outside. I do appreciate this as dogs cannot join you anywhere in Australia. WE also purchased a beautiful card by a local Sheringham artist which will be framed and displayed at home. THank you.

We walked our toddler and dog through the woods to get to the tea room, only to find it was closed, despite the notice board near the entrance saying it was open Fri/Sat/Sun/Mon, April to October. Very disappointed, as we were on holiday and had gone to the woods specifically to visit the tea room after seeing it on Google Maps. My mum had also had a long drive to Norfolk, so we thought we'd pop out to the tea room for a late lunch and drink as soon as she arrived. Obviously we can't give any stars as we couldn't eat there. Make sure you check the website first. (Visited 3pm on Mon 1 Oct 2018).

Having driven past here hundreds of times, we have never actually called. As we were staying down the road we decided we had to call this time. We parked up and walked through the woods, not actually knowing where we were going (there was a sign indicating the beginning of a 6 mile walk..!) Fortunately we came across a little sign indicating the direction to the Tea Room. It was like walking in to a little oasis, coming out of the dark woods in to an open space, the sun shining down, with outdoor seating and people sat with tea and cakes. My daughter ordered a cream tea and our youngest had a milk shake with some homemade cake. My partner had coffee and the Victoria Sponge whilst I opted for coffee and a toasted teacake. The homemade scones and cakes are wonderful and the coffee is really good (if not a little on the cool side on this occasion). The atmosphere is lovely and relaxed and the waiters are very polite, professional and friendly (my eldest would be happy to return for the waiters alone!) Would highly recommend.

An nice lunch is this pleasant tea room accessed through a pleasant walk through the woods. Although nothing to do with the staff or location my experience was slightly ruined by a animated discussion with a rather insensitive smoker who whilst trying to keep his fumes away from his family managed with the help of the prevailing wind to suffocate mine.

Had a lovely lunch here today with my husband and daughters. The salad was really fresh and delicious with a lovely home-made dressing. It was busy and the service was good but not fast so wouldn't recommend it if you want to be really quick. If you are out for a leisurely lunch it is perfect however. I found the parkimg confusing as the main car park seems to be down a level, down a rather tight looking hilly bit. I manoeuvred my car into a space at the top but it was a bit of a faff to turn it round to get out (and I only have a Vauxhall Astra!). Would recommend though!

The food was very good well cooked and presented, we had to wait for a while before our order was placed, however it's a busy local pub which caters for holiday makers also so this could have been the reason for the wait. Cheerful and pleasant staff, I would certainly eat there again.
