Harris & James in North Norfolk

Called in for a coffee which is superb. The sweet mincemeat croissant waffle is absolutely delicious.Better than any traditional mince pie.Go and give it a try👍🎄

More than generous scoups of gelato, intense flavours, inside seating which was a bonus. Looking forward to trying other flavours next visit

Went in at 15.50 on Sunday. Asked about flavours of ice cream. Older lady replied there all over here rudely 😡 To which we then had to go outside and look through the gruby window. Last year that window was open and they served from outside. Gave our order and younger girl said price sharply also. No manners of these 2 members of staff. We then went on our way. With in seconds the doors were shut!! O that's why we were rudely spoken to. Obvs stopping them from closing early. The older lady usual works in your cromer branch as I over heard her muttering. By the way the ice creams were delicious, but not sure I'll be popping in there anytime soon. But us nipping in you took another £12. That's a hrs wage almost. Manners cost nothing even at 15.50 on a Sunday!!

Wow, amazing ice cream! The portion was enormous for £3.50 good value. I had Key Lime flavour, probably one of the best ice cream I’ve ever had.

We’ve never had a bad experience here and the chocolate gelato is the best we’ve ever had! My partner and I came in for coffees and I was incredibly complicated by asking for an iced mocha without thinking they’d have to do a completely different process than a hot one, and I’m pretty sure which if I went anywhere else I would’ve been told no, but Michelle and Abby were amazing and made me the perfect drink. I work in hospitality and I know how difficult customers can be and their customer service was wonderful. Thank you so much ☺️

Friendly service however there isn’t a great selection of gelatos like the Cromer shop has and unlike Cromer churros are offered freshly reheated 😕! They were ok . We as a family are big fans of H&J however have to say the Holt branch wasn’t as good as Cromer but better than Sheringham which was dismal . If someone from H&J is reading this than I suggest you fix the fridges / coolers in Sheringham shop and offer the young lady working there training as the ice cream was a sloppy mess and she was still selling even though it was falling off the cone as she was serving - I had to ask for cups . I’m sure food and hygiene would say this was a no no - we chucked ours in the end and don’t think that complaining to young lady would have made a difference.

If you like ice cream cones, this is Mecca. The double scoops are enormous. I went for salted caramel and vanilla. One of the finest I have tasted in 73 years of licking.

Called in here for coffee and spotted they have gluten free muffins in 3 different flavours (which is rare, wherever we go) the coffee was great and the muffins were so good. We had ice cream too, which was amazing. We called in on the way home to get more muffins to take away as they were so moreish. The staff are well trained, knowledgeable and very friendly. We would definitely visit here again when we are in the area. The only ice cream parlour that we have found with gluten free cones since moving to Suffolk 3 years ago.

Just visited the sherringham store after visiting the holt store last week and it is possibly the nicest ice cream in Norfolk. I was particularly impressed that they did a gluten free cone in the sherringham store as it made it even nicer and more special! Thank you! ❤️

The staff at this store are a true credit to Harris and James, always upbeat, polite and willing to help a total breath of fresh air. DO NOT bother letting the management/directors/owners know! All they care about are the products NOT the feet on the floor! I wrote to them back in September expressing praise for the staff in this store and all their 'director' was interested in was which of their products i prefer, not a care for the workers, i pity their staff working for such rude, arrogant and selfish employers, this 'director' should take a few lessons in customer service/hospitality Im not one to write reviews, i have always lived by....if you have an issue then speak to the relevant person, no need to air dirty linen in public but in this case the 'relevant' person was no use and wasn't even interested in my feed back and only bothered about their products. Its such a sad world we live in if the people at the top have no interest in their staff. My 5* rating is for the staff NOT for the Harris and James company.

Whilst having a weekend in Norfolk (in Cley-On-Sea) we visited Holt on two occasions and on both of them I had gelato from H&J. The choice of flavours are outstanding and the gelato is as good as any I have had from gelateria's in Italy. Other treats are available but honestly the gelato is divine.
