The best restaurants in Great Yarmouth East of England

We eat here about once a month as very local. Staff are friendly, food is fairly priced and decent quality. Can't ask for more, for a Friday night quick dinner out.

Normally good but I won’t be using them anymore last experience no food and didn’t want to give a refund

We had a couple of ok Steaks Toilets a bit of a mission , upstairs. Good service by a keen young lady . I wouldn’t go again though 🤷‍♂️

Went there at 2.15 pm as always done for years even with previous owners . One staff member sitting around while other serving , asked for 2 toasted cheese sandwich, we got from the staff sitting abruptly NOT SERVING HOT FOOD , so had to lump 2 hard stale cakes instead and when I say stale I mean stale , I went to ask for sugar for tea, it was like I was asking for gold. This place has gone so badly down hill , we won't be returning they used to do such beautiful fresh cakes and staff were so friendly. And to say no to making a cheese toasties you seriously don't want customers do u If it carries on like this it will lose completely.

We had one sausage and chips, and one childs chips, l have had chip shops all my working life ,things have gone up a lot ,but £9,for what we had ,and takeaway is far to much, chips were nice ,sausage was only the cheapest jumbo ones you can buy, sorry definitely not coming again, feeling sorry for the family's on holiday,

Another lovely meal tonight! Especially the chow mein! The girl at the counter was really lovely and efficient as usual.

Visited with family, ordered food which was rated very good by all. The fish & chips three if us had was the best we have had for a long time. Portion sizes are good & reasonably priced. Great location, staff very friendly & welcoming.

First time here. I went for a coffee and cake after cleaning my parent's grave. The cafe is lovely and welcoming. Prices are good. My cappuccino was first class but my fruit scone was awful. It was dry and didn't taste great, which was a shame. Either it was stale or the ingredients were not great.

What is up with people!!!! Crap manners on the till, and who gets clean plates out of a dishwasher and put them facing on your dirty apron to juggle them! before placing them back out front to customers !!!

Stopped by The Pier Tavern for a quick pint and was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere. The place is well-decorated, with a cool vibe and a proper welcoming feel. The staff were friendly and made me feel right at home. They’ve got a pool table, a karaoke bar, and a solid selection of drinks—everything you need for a good night out. The disco lights and music add to the lively feel, and of course, the usual fruit machines are there for a bit of fun. Only came in for one, but I’ll definitely be back for a proper sesh. Great spot! We arrived at 21:40 on Sunday 20th April (as we had checked it was open until 22:30), on arrival we had a very cold greeting and it was very uncomfortable. I ordered a glass of water and pepsi, and the water arrived and it was not cold at all yet the pepsi had sufficient ice in it. I approached the bar to ask for some ice in my water, and was told in no uncertain terms, that ice is only served in drinks that are purchased and not tap water as it is free, if we add ice, this costs us to generate the ice, then said I'll do it for you this time. I was made to feel quite uncomfortable. The same female staff member then apologised for how cold it was in the restaurant ( we had not said anything about the temperature) and did no more than plug in a blow heater near where we were sitting😳😳.....I'm sorry did this not cost them to switch this on, we couldn't believe it. They seemed to be more bothered about takeaway orders than paying customers within the restaurant. We can honestly say we will not be visiting this place again.

Great Pub, we have visited several times over the last 30 odd years that we have visited the Broads, but not for a few years, we really didn’t,expect them to be able to accommodate 8 of us without a booking on Valentines night but they did and we had a wonderful meal, I can recommend the chicken curry.

Unfortunately the smallest portions ever received on a delivery. The portions were less than small. Burrito tasted nice but was like a mini wrap rather than a burrito an adult could eat for dinner. Tacos were really hot and filled with a spicy cream. It didn't really taste like tacos at all. Milkshake tasted like over sweet dark industrial chocolate sirup with milk. Overall disappointment

Brilliant little food van... Hot dogs are amazing and the burgers are divine. Lovely staff aswell.. Top notch!
