The Pier Tavern in Great Yarmouth

Ok for a drink with a very pleasant outlook.not the cheapest but not extortionate.

We stopped as needed an excuse to get out of the cold so though a pint would help... It did 😉 Good atmosphere with background music, pool table, afew arcade games and friendly bar staff. Not too badly priced but as a beach side bar, you do expect it to be a little higher than other locations. Downgraded to a 4 star review purely as we also had a coffee and it tasted like dishwasher with a dash of coffee! ☕😁

After arriving in Great Yarmouth went to the seafront to wait for my booking in time and was greeted with a friendly staff and well kept beer

One of the last to eat 5.30pm ,6pm closed for food ,Latte was rubbish ,totally unlike pic on table ,we ordered a pannie each £8.50 hard very little filling...soo dissopoined.

Nice place to have a drink and relax.

Dart board and set up really nice, pub darts are rubbish. Lovely place to get out the sun. AIR CON!

Great atmosphere, friendly staff.

Could do with refurbishing. A chair at our table had a ripped seat I did not use the toilets but my hubby said best not to. He said they were filthy with lino lifting off the floor. The DJ was playing some of the good old songs that got folks dancing. We didn't order food so cannot comment. We just finished our drinks and left.

We went in and the place was quite full with families which made a nice atmosphere but there was one person on the bar serving which meant you waited a long time to get served which to me doesn't make sense the faster you serve people the more money you take we left because we wasn't prepared to wait 20 minutes to be served

Nice place totally buzzing atmosphere ,friendly staff good price for drinks not too expensive ,nice bar had a nice time ,child friendly as went In at lunchtime karaoke was on I think with DJ .😁we didn't eat here so I can't comment on. Food but nice place .

If you love cheesey music and bangers from the 80s and 90s then go here. Me and my mates love throwing some mean shapes here. Friendly staff, too!

Great atmosphere. Dj Tom was excellent (banging tunes) as was Kerry behind the bar. Dean and Donna karaoke hoggers lol

Standard pub on the pier. Nothing special but decent prices.

The manager was serving behind the bar tonight, and my god, was she very accommodating as they had an offer which expired but still on show. She honoured it and gave us 2 of the best cocktails we have had here. Will I go again yes I will and next time will test a different cocktail. Music and kids allowed after 9pm legend

Quiet during the day but comes alive at night. Good service, friendly staff & good selection of drinks. Good views of the seafront.

Only couple bar staff on a karaoke afternoon,,,🤦

Decent little boozer at the beginning of the pier in great yarmouth, good selection of beers and spirits and very friendly staff. Didn't try food so cannot comment.

Had an enjoyable experience here clean and tidy although the toilets could do with looking at, the only downside for me when they have an offer some staff are happy to point you in the right direction whilst others will happily and sneakly try and avoid giving you the offer price which always disappoints me when everyday people want to stiff everyday people

Good place for a beer and giggle plus if you're in the mood there's always Karaoke 🎤

Went in this bar, service was excellent from staff. Clean and presentable place in a prime location, you can sit and watch the sea or even the bowling greens and the road, opposite the bar towards town. I really enjoyed the pier tavern and would recommend it to anyone

The staff say the owner has told them to put a 10% frothy head on the pint. This is no longer a full pint so is a short measure which must be reported to weights and measures. Hopefully they will be fined.

We stopped in the evening for one drink which we had outside on one of 3 benches as the Weather was great. The pub was great for our needs

Nice pier lots of entertainment for the kids and adults. lots of shows with famous entertainers playing at certain times.

A very welcoming place. Efficiently run , and was extremely clean and in this weather warm. It was a good place to stop at before wandering around the pier and amusement. It also allowed us to take our dog as well... Really good...

Average quality events. Rather for locals. I would call it a place to make a killing. You can dance, but the place is quite poor and not too busy. The man selling hot dogs from the trailer was very polite.

Drinks are overpriced and staff needed more training

To expensive go to weatherspoons a lot better value

Came in this pub for some afternoon scran, left puzzled. Atmosphere was interesting with songs abouts butts playing at a distracting volume. Normally I enjoy some upbeat music but not at 4pm on a Thursday surrounded by families. One dude was thrusting a woman on the bar which was concerning especially with children being there. Food was a dry and overtly crispy and was left pondering why my burger had cucumber?. Would maybe again, only is only place open or if I was drunk.

I went to back pier and I complied to what the security guards told me, and I got my shoulder dislocated whilst I have arthritis on my spine and they completely ignored of what I told them and now I’m in hospital dying in pain because they all they ask to see is if my vape is dead, I told them it was I showed them, but they still dislocated my shoulder put me in a lot of pain and made me in hospital

Stopped in for a quick drink. Little pricey but most places are these days.

Went here for a few drinks nice enough place but for me not really what I look for the staff we're friendly enough but the young lad who served us was abit unsure of what he was meant to be doing not his fault to me the other staff should really help more but yeah overall not to bad

Good atmosphere, toilets could do with a lot of updating.

Miserable barstaff. Fosters served in a glass you serve real ales in so it was flat. Toilets filthy (definitely not inspected).Gave 2 stars as don't want to give 1 star. Needs improving

Nice little pub for a quick drink. Staff could be happier though. I don't think any of them know how to smile. I know this isn't the easiest job in the world but a smile goes a long way. They have a fair selection of larger and beer so you should find something you like. Chairs aren't the comfiest of seating but all in all a nice place for a quick drink.

Busy, which is good for them but crampt for people, shared benches, hopefully someone doesn't sit behind you that weighs more then you, because you'll get tossed off your seat. Staff were nice, apart from the woman who really didn't want to be there!

Cheap and cheerful, quick friendly service. prawn sandwich was delicious. Little loud and busy, so if you want a quiet cuppa don't go this time of year.

A young guy who got in late ( after 11.00 am ) really need to learn some manners in customer relations .

A great bar that is set on the Seafront in Yarmouth. Lots of entertainment on Friday's & Weekends. Karaoke on Thursday nights. They have great drinks in there & the staff are fantastic.

Worst pint of lager I've probably ever had, eggy and flat! No hand towels or hand dryer in the toilets. Just as sad and depressing as the rest of Gt. Yarmouth

Shut the bar early, refused a drink at 10.50pm when open till 11pm. very quiet though so kind of understand. Just a bit frustrating when been we'd spent some money in here all week

Lovely place to sit watch the sea and world go by with a pint. Prices for drink considerably more than those a few yards down the road

Decent range of drinks at good prices, friendly staff, pool table, fruit machines ... all you need in a pub Does look a little dated but that's adds to the charm
