No problem with timing or delivery but the all of the dishes were quite watery and thin. The food was mediocre, previously the dishes have been rich and thick, I wonder if they have a new chef?

I don’t usually leave restaurant reviews, but this place angered me so much that I felt compelled to do so on this occasion. We arrived as a party of 6 adults, 4 kids and a baby. A sign outside said ‘thank you NHS’ and as all 6 adults in our group are NHS doctors, we were pleased to see it. The lady who greeted us on our entrance immediately started to pull unhappy faces on seeing our group. Then she said, ‘fine you can stay but I can’t give you a high chair because it’s being used’. She acted like she was doing us a huge favour by allowing us to stay, even though the restaurant was not very busy. We then ordered a mix of things and she reappeared saying ‘I’m not trying to be rude but you have to order at least £10 per person’. This actually did come across very rude. Perhaps this policy could be made more clear prior to ordering or at least she could have expressed it in a more polite manner and apologised. She did not know how much we were short by and we had not ordered our drinks yet. If she had better customer service skills, we would have been happy to order a couple more items. She still did not apologise when we expressed that we felt unwelcome and would find somewhere else to eat.

We have been coming here for ages last 6 years and the food and service has never let us down.. We remember the waitress who is friendly and very attentive. The waiter was very friendly too. High recommended great food and reasonably priced. See you next year!! X

Absolutely terrible wrong order, took An and a half still waiting on food which arrived undercooked and wrong. We were told they didn’t know what they had served us! Then told us not to come back when we said we were not paying for food we did NOT ask for and that was undercooked

The restaurant's Google listing states it's open until 11:30 PM, but when we arrived at 9:30 PM, we were told they were closing in 15 minutes and refused service. This misinformation is misleading and needs to be corrected immediately.

I ended up getting half of a container of food and my brother too what was meant to be a chicken balti and a lamb chicken ticking masala but only half was the container full very disappointed not enough sauce otherwise food was very good but poor on portion size.

Late, over an hour and a half. Food was cold on arrival, 2 items missing. Only got partial refund back. Was offered a free meal in the week but we will not be using plant poppadom again.

very disappointed with today's order. Not especially temperature hot nor spicy. Onion Bajis were stale and over cooked and dry. Rice was Luke warm. We have ordered a few times from this restaurant and we're generally happy with what we receive. I would like some feedback from the restaurant as to why this has happened.

Visited this place for the first time and definitely the last...please avoid. The older indian waiter is very rude and does not provide good customer service. The food is okay, the waiter rushed us out even though the restaurant was empty. Not worth the money.

Not the best!, curry portion was small, only 5 pieces of chicken, and the chicken didn’t taste like chicken, vegetable rice was nice but £4.99 a small bowl it should be, nan bread was ok, won’t be going back as far better Indian/Bangladeshi restaurants in town!

best curry house in great Yarmouth never late I order at least twice a month only ever had one issue with the wrong curry but they went out of there way to correct the mistake and even gave me a free curry with the next order the food is spot on

Really good food - nicely spiced curries without being too hot. Service was generally good although a bit slow in bringing the bill. Overall a good place to go for dinner.

Food was good but unable to get a VAT receipt when we asked. Was even told by a server they are not VAT registered which I assume was a misunderstanding.

the food had leaked into the bag and contents fell out on the floor, lucky was only 1 meal that was unable to be eaten. should not of been in a paper bag if contents were leaking. hopefully next time, I would hope more care would be taken so contents are not leaking

Prompt delivery, so started well, but in reality. not great compared to others. Meal lukewarm on delivery, popadoms had no crunch. Red mist dish nothing like ormesby, in fact all dishes were bland. I chucked the naan (burnt) and left a fair bit of food. Will give miss in future.

Staff is arrogant. He doesn’t have manners. Money oriented Restaurant. High recommended Do not visit.

After a recommendation from a friend we decided to visit here , and I'm so glad we did the service was fantastic, and the food was the best I've tasted in a long time . Would highly recommend and we will definitely be coming back .

Food was mediocre. The bhuna was not very flavourful and one of the naans was burnt on the bottom and not edible. Ordered for cash on delivery and the driver brought no change with him so despite being over 30 minutes late he managed to pocket a tip because he didn’t have anything except a single 20p coin with him. Won’t be ordering again

Rogan josh had no spice and lacked any real flavour or punch to it, pakoras and meat samosa very bland

All dishes were cold. Expect the “ garlic king prawns” that were not as described, still had the shell on them and surrounded with veg. And tasted nothing like garlic. Korma was bland and the coconut rice tasted powdery. Didn’t eat my meal as it just wasn’t up to standards unfortunately. However the naan tasted nice and lots of cheese, it was just stone cold. Expected better quality for the price of the dishes.

A birthday meal out for my mum, neither have been before, so we helped them with the menu. They both enjoyed their evening, all our meals were tasty good portion sizes, a lovely evening.We will be returning.

Don’t both. Tasteless food. And I mean tasteless. If any of the dishes had seen a single spice this review would have been better. Sloppy and watered down and this from someone who isn’t a fan of overly spicy dishes - jalfrezi is probably my limit. We had the garlic chicken and a house special - they both looked a similar shade of beige and both had no flavour.

One of the worse dinners we ever had. The manager was extremely rude from the moment we placed our order. The chicken didn't seem like chicken, and when we returned after having a bite, he said we ate most of it. They should not have a business if their customer service is this poor. Will never visit here again. WARNING, if you want rude customer service and terrible place to eat, this is the place to go! Disgusting

My seafood cocktail was the best but we also had the lamb biriani, bindi bahjee, sag aloo and a couple of naan breads which were all very nice. Service was excellent and the waitress and manager were very friendly.

worst indian ive ever had and the rudest manager ever, my friend had a prawn cocktail starter that was tasteless so asked for some pepper and they said they had ran out of salt and pepper i thought they were joking but it was true, i ate my prawn puree as i was starving but even that was bland, my friend left her prawn cocktail, next up was chicken tandoori for my friends daughter and me both dishes tasted like boiled chicken i would not give to my dog, so we refused to pay, at that the manager said we had eaten some so it cant be that bad, at that i swore at him and said you have to eat some to taste it at that he bolted the doors and rang the police demanding 88 quid for one bland prawn puree and so we sat it out and waited for the police but they never came and as there were lots of other people in there eating and children i could see it getting out of hand i was boiling over so i decided to pay, this place was nice 2 years ago when we visited yarmouth but do yourselves a favout and avoid it like the plague

The best curry I've ever had was so good, it made my taste buds think they'd won the lottery! I mean, I took one bite, and I swear I heard my stomach sing "Hallelujah!" It was like the chef had a PhD in Deliciousness from the University of Yum. The spices? They danced on my tongue like they were on the grand finale of "Strictly Come Dancing." And the heat? Just enough to make me feel like a dragon, but not enough to require a fire extinguisher. Honestly, if that curry had a dating profile, I'd swipe right so fast, it'd break the sound barrier!

After walking in the pouring rain for what seemed like hours and looking at places on the seafront for dinner, we decided on coming in at Planet Popadum. When greeted by an unfriendly server when we said we hadn't booked and sighing because it was difficult to give us a table for 2 in a what seemed like a fully booked restaurant, we were sat in a empty room (and by the time we left there was one table of 6 left) Ordered lamb shashlik, king prawn shashlik, tarka dhal, brinjal bagee, a garlic naaan and needless to say food was excellent, tasteful and freshly made. Washed down with a Kingfisher and a chilled glass of pinot grigio. And the server cheered up by the end when we told him we had a very enjoyable experience.

Ordered lamb tikka got chicken tikka balti. The sauce was so watery it was like dish water no flavour Was husbands food was also very watery he had chicken tikka masala popadums also tasted stale. Tried talking to manager who tried making a joke of it. As he was too busy flirting with his waitress.What you complaining about it’s the same price. Was his reply. I told him I didn’t want to make a fuss just wanted to tell him his mistake and at least expected an apology but just got laughed at.

Ordered lamb tikka got chicken tikka sauce was like dish water no flavour whatsoever. Tried talking to manager he just laughed at me as he was too busy flirting with waitress. All he could say was well it’s the same price as lamb so what’s the difference. I will never go there again. Must have a different chef because I’ve been going there for years and his other restaurant in king street Bombay nights. There are better Indian restaurants far better in Great Yarmouth

ordered two dishes described as spicy and medium hot. tasted okay but both were very mild, no heat whatsoever.

I had a very basic Indian dish nothing special but ok I'm afraid the chicken did not appear to be chicken neither did it have the texture of chicken. The staff were polite, definitely overpriced.

Came here for dinner with my girlfriend whilst on holiday. Food was delicious and service was good. Food was reasonably priced too.

Very average food. The food was OK but no better than you could get at a cheap takeaway, the service was what you'd expect from Indian culture, very pleasant, with nice decorations throughout and attentive waiters. However the food is very average, sometimes burnt, and for Indian food, quite bland in flavour. If you aren't looking for anything special, and would like to find somewhere accessible to eat then this restaurant is a fine option, but for those of you who are expecting anything more, I would look elsewhere.

Avoidable We went for a unplanned dinner, Ordered Nan, Roti, Pulav Rice , Chapathy and Butter Chicken. Masala Pappadom as starters. Masala Pappadom : Price 1£ - My expectation was a pappadom with onions and masala on top like in India - I was in for a surprise - A plain fried pappadom - You could get 50 of them in any south asian store for 2£. Not able to understand the thought process to charge such prices for a simple pappdom. Nan : Thick and Soggy Tandoor Roti : No comments Chapathy : Can match pappadom for its crispiness - Disaster Pulav Rice - Should be renamed as unseasoned rice with hint of cinnamon, Basic chef technique of using salt for basmati is missed. Butter chicken - Hahahaha On top of this it’s expensive, Never to return.

Bombay Aloo perfectly cooked and flavoured. Both meals were delicious, tender chicken and again the flavours amazing. Huge naan breads, got two but one is sufficient for two people. Definitely going to be a returning customer. Highly recommend this restaurant 👍

One of the best curry houses I have ever tried, we went to great Yarmouth for a 2 night stay and went here on the first night and couldn't resist another visit the following night.
