The lunch was very nice. A warm welcome. Cobwebs in the main area. Staines around walls, tables needs cleaning after every customer. Toilet cobwebs no toilet paper in one cubicle. Needs to be checked regularly. Does need more staff on especially in the bar area, customers queing to be served. Only one lady serving.

Popped in here to check food serving times and the menu before walking along the river to Burgh Castle. Later we found an outdoor table with a lovely view of the river and boats passing. Food was fabulous. Combo burgers came with a large portion of chips, peas, salad and coleslaw. The chilli dish with garlic bread was especially nice. The kids enjoyed their food too. Very enjoyable. Pleasant staff and a nice atmosphere.

Read quite a lot of negative reviews regarding this place but I have to say that this was not our experience at all, lovely outside seating area, very friendly attentive staff and excellent freshly cooked food. We had the fish and chips, absolutely delicious, obviously can’t say more about the other food on the menu but what we saw going to other tables looked lovely. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and look forward to returning ourselves.

From the moment we moored to the moment we left it felt a little awkward. We moored at around 11:45 to be greeted by a rather miserable looking lady smoking a cigarette. (She also had a staring problem). At around 12pm we entered the pub and were greeted by what can only be described as a grumpy bloke, we ordered drinks and sat down to read the menu. The food we ordered was your standard poor quality pub grub, frozen chips, greasy food etc etc. Once we'd finished our meals I went to the bar to order another pint and apple crumble, I was told that even though the pub had been open over an hour at this point that the crumble wasn't cooked, no option for us to wait until it was cooked, just told we can't have it. Felt very unwelcome from start to finish, which is annoying as we visit the beautiful broads for at least 4 weeks a year and spend quite a substantial amount in the pubs.

We went to the Fisherman’s Inn by recommendation. The first time we tried, we asked for a menu only to be told, they were rushed off their feet and had stopped taking orders for food at 6pm. It was ten past six and not very full. Although we thought it poor, we decided to give lunch a try a couple of days later. We both ordered a baguette each and a side bowl of chips. As is normal we were asked if we’d like to order drinks which we duly did. After about twenty minutes we ordered another pint each and enquired about our baguettes. At this point we were told they were really busy and the food would be a forty minute wait. (For a ham baguette??}While we were waiting the table next to ours became occupied and their food was delivered within ten minutes. When we queried it the owner came out and instead of offering any kind of apology became very belligerent and in front of everyone told us we could have our money back if we didn’t like it. No customer service skills whatsoever. We obviously didn’t trust having food served by anyone with that sort of attitude so after a few words we left. We’ve eaten out regularly for most of our lives and I can’t think of a pub or restaurant run in such a shoddy manner. It’s lucky the bloke doesn’t run a brewery!Only go if you do

I recently visited the small establishment with my partner after a suggestion from her family. The drinks were reasonably priced (7.90 for a pint of ghost ship and a single gin and lemonade), it's not incredibly cheap but the view is worth the extra cost and the barman was extremely knowledgeable and helped my girlfriend pick a drink. We sat in the beer garden area which had some simple benches and some trees for shade (there is a terrace with proper seating but that seemed to be for food). Very pleased with our visit and will definitely go again before we leave the area.

The positive of this place is that it has a wonderful location overlooking the water. And prices don’t seem to be too bad.the beer garden is very pleasant but littered with fag buts. Not pleasant for my little one.The food is basic. We ordered fish and chips. Fish was nice, but the chips were terrible. Cheap oven chips that were barely cooked. Very poor. All served in takeaway cartons too (for convenience?) It seemed extremely busy with people from the local campsite, and although the location was picturesque it wasn’t particularly relaxing evening out.I was also feeling that they are not taking seriously enough social distancing, perhaps they should be limiting numbers, rather than packing in the punters? So overall - poor food. Very busy. Concerns of overcrowding a risk with Covid.

Visited The Fishermans a few times across July. Lovely pub and welcoming staff. The one big problem is social distancing. There is a circular table in front of the bar that is right next to where you stand, both sides, to queue to be served. It has always been full, when I have been there, with locals, who have been up and down, walking by where I am queuing. It is too close and makes you feel uncomfortable. If they removed this one table (or put out of action) then it will open the area up and people would feel safer and appropriately socially disant.

We stopped off at the Fishermans Inn with our dog for a drink and some lunch. Dogs are allowed in the garden but not on the terrace which is annoying because the terrace offers an unhindered view through a glass barrier whereas the garden has a hedge which restricts some of the view. But we ordered a few drinks and sat along the norfolk broads enjoying what we could see of the fabulous view. Then we ordered some food and this is where it all went wrong. Due to covid the pub offers a limited menu. We ordered a burger and a quiche. Neither were nice at all, the beef burger didnt even taste of beef, it was a pink colour and tasted sweet, the chips were aweful and the quiche was cold, it had obviously just been taken out the fridge. It was definitely not homemade and tasted old. I understand that everyone has had to adjust to a new way of living but there is no excuse for serving poor quality food I feel like money has been stolen off me and that they are taking advantage of the view to sell a poor product. I will not go here again and I only hope that they can take on some of my review and improve on their service

We were staying at Breydon Water and took a walk to Burgh Castle and then back along the river to the Fisherman’s Inn. The two men serving were helpful and explained the way things were to work during Covid. We ordered drinks and sat outside on the lovely decking overlooking the water. After choosing lunch from the blackboard we went back inside and ordered a burger and chips, jumbo hot dog and chips and a cheese sandwich, this came to around £15, add the drinks to it (2 pints and a coke) and lunch came to around £25, bargain! Food service was quick, came in disposable packaging and was piping hot. Good old fashioned beef burger meal, real sausage in the hot dog which our daughter loved and almost managed to finish it all and a decent cheese sandwich. Nothing fancy, just good quality tasty food served in a very safe way. Arrived to a packed beer gdn and a clean looking pub but things quickly went down hill. Stood at bar barmaid says who’s next I go to giv her my order only for her to walk away and serve a gentleman who’s name she know! Finally served by a man we asked about ordering pie and mash. Was told when it’s ready we will announce it you will queue pay and then be served. Suddenly saw a queue forming and people walking away with tickets and barr staff getting people to the bar. Husband went to bar again he was ignored in favour of a regular. There was no veggie option it would have been easy to do a veggie pie! The actual meal was ok.The event was advertised on Facebook as a chas and Dave tribute band however it was 2 blokes who constantly said they didn’t know songs hadn’t practised and hadn’t sung them for 10 years very unprofessional . After playing for a short time they stoped to eat said they didn’t know any more songs and the staff said good now we can hav real music northern soul etc. We moved outside finished our drinks and left and went else we’re.Very disappointed as had come for a cockney evening. I’m much younger than the singer who claimed to be a eastenders but know more London songs than they sang. Was also not impressed to see dogs in bar especially as food was being served! We have a caravan local and are looking to the area now this pub is meant to be open all year round it could well have become our local but the welcome by staff has put us of. You will not gain more regulars if you treat people this way. Ignoring people once is bad enough but twice is unforgettable. We felt very welcome when popping in for lunch and a pint. Two real ales on (Ghost Ship and Timothy Taylor) and dog friendly. We had a baguette each that was tasty and well presented. Great view both from the windows and the garden.

Visited first time since refurbished. Whilst it has a new carpet and fresh paint the welcome was cold to say the least . Miserable choice of beers and only blended whiskey. No sign of any Menus . A pool table now plonked in the middle . Won’t rush back sadly .

We use the Fishermans lots in the summer, and was excited that it was opening again and staying open all year round, we arrived to the coldest of welcomes, the man behind the bar looked at us with disgust! And made us feel as we were not to even to be in there, big shame as we spend a lot in there in the summer very dissapointed.

First night open, nice friendly atmosphere, good food, and Ghostship on tap, lovely wood burner and has had a tasteful re-furbishment, a lovely local worth a visit, winter or summer.

It is really old fashioned pub style décor but the food is really good. Obviously being a fish fan I was spoilt for choice and the staff were helpful in that they let me mix the menu up a bit.

Seven people moored up for the night, nice food, fast service, large portions and friendly staff. Good pub grub, looks dated and needs some loving but knock the food, beer and staff.

Visited with another couple and two great grandchildren. Place is supposed to have been refurbished but not much sign of that apart from, perhaps, new carpeting. Expensive - £22 for two glasses of wine and four soft drinks. Staff friendly enough and it's a great location, right on the river and adjacent to a boatyard and a rather basic marina. But I have to say that it's not a watering hole I would visit on a regular basis, despite living only a short distance away. It seems to cater more for passing boat trade and holiday trade rather than having regular patronage. Nice garden area though very dry and lots of wasps about (hardly surprising this time of year!). Interior is rather dated - as I said, No real evidence of a refurb. Can't comment on food, but have eaten here before and recall it was pretty good.

As above. Do not go if you are hungry and expecting good service. We were visiting the area and decided to treat ourselves. Hubby and daughter. It looked a little quiet, possibly about to close but I saw it was ipen all day. We asked if they were serving food as we went to eat just to be sure. They were but our order couldnt be taken as they had just taken large order (for 7 people!!) Shocked but thought will wait as wouldnt be that long, so they said. We got drinks after about 15 mins we had pretty much finished and were deciding if to stay as lil one getting restless and hungry. No one had come over to say we could order (i asked if this was ok and it was!) I went to the bar to take glasses back to see another familys order bing taken, they had literally just arrived!! Not happy. If you cant handle more than 1 table dont open a restuarant! good luck to you. You are never going to survive the restuarant trade. Shut up shop before shop shuts you! Ridiculous. Poor service. Lost customer for life. We do visit the area regularly and I would not recommend anyone visit this place even though the view is v peaceful. Very disappointed

Can’t fault the views from the beer garden. Beautiful. Great pub with fab food and drink. We’re local so we pop by a lot in the summer to enjoy the scenery and go crabbing. No idea of opening times... seems they’re shut some days and not others. Well hidden away and if signposted more clearly I’m sure it would pull in huge trade in the summer months.

Had many meals in this pub, since the new team has been running the place, very good food, excellent beer, and always a warm welcome to strangers. When our daughter visits us up here, this is where we come to,to while an hour or so with a good meal.Never had a poor meal, but we love the f/chips.

We have been in for a meal twice this holiday and the food is amazing home cooked food the chips are unbelievably delicious. The omelettes are big and amazing. Our boy is fussy on his food but he cleans his plate every time we go. Highly recommend if on holiday near here, So we went again last night for last meal of season and oh boy did it not fail, it was the best pie I’ve ever had in a pub and the chips were fantastic as always, staff really friendly, and service is excellent, shame it would be 6 hour round trip to come back in winter.

Bit of a last minute decision, but fancied a Sunday roast and the PotP usually delivers. As hoped for it was excellent. Almost too good as I had no room left for the apple pie and custard ☹️, maybe next time.
