We had the Afternoon Tea and thoroughly enjoyed it! Our waitress Tia was very welcoming upon arrival and attentive throughout our meal (cooked by John) Would thoroughly recommend as an alternative to traditional fish and chips!

Great Harry Ramsden’s Afternoon Tea with Tia looking after us (excellent service) and Chef John in the kitchen (food was great). Superb all round.

Wonderful afternoon spent with my partner. We were the only 2 here so pick of the seats. Tara was our waitress. Very polite professional & the service was wonderful. The chef was Zolly 10 out of 10 for the quality of the food. Will definitely come again as we are local.

Shocking amount of chips £3.75 with the cod won't be back at Harry Ramsdens Great Yarmouth

Very calm place, good food, friendly staff

Food was fab, the interior was tired and old. In desperate need of renovations. Tired tables, broken cracked floor tiles and chipped paint walls. Is a shame as the food was great and the building itself is a lovely building just needs a good renovation and would be great little place

Our server Hollie was fantastic and the food was ample, very tasty and nicely served. We would however suggest the plates are warmed before serving to allow the food to stay warmer for longer ?

We ordered a medium chips haddock and battered sausage and chips with peas….. just under £22. The fish was so small. Disgusting prices. The food was mediocre. Customer service was zero as her response was “if you’d ordered the special, I would have given it you, you would have got more”. Thanks for the recommendation when ordering.

Went for the afternoon tea with my partner, food was lovely, arrived hot and each component explained to us, service was great, both Hollie and Tara were polite, friendly and attentive and made the experience all that much better.

We were brought an afternoon fish & chips for Xmas , didn’t really know what to expect, it was absolutely lovely, also a big Thankyou to Hollie who served us. She was so polite and friendly. Thankyou.

Although the food was hot and tasty I was a bit disappointed if I'm honest. We were shown menus showing an over 60s deal for £10.99 which included fish and chips and either ice cream or bread and butter pudding. The waiter clearly told us it included one side dish of peas or baked beans. So we all added a side and were then charged an extra £1 each for them. It wasn't so much a pensioner discount as we were clearly sold child portions. Not only that but we were also charged £11.99 for the basic deal instead of £10.99 and were flippantly told that the menus were old and it had gone up in price. What?? Is that even legal?

Hollie welcomed us in and we chose our table. Polite prompt service and considering how close to the door we were very comfortable in the temperature department. Good generous tea pot and a decent brand of teabag in the pot! Haddock was delicious, batter could have been a bit crispier but fish was cooked perfectly for me. Love the fat chips, but alas no mint sauce for my mushy peas! Will I come back, yes definitely!

Had a fish and chips afternoon tea with prosecco. Something different and was lovely. A good selection of food and the coated pickle were really nice. Service from Howie & Tara was great, service with a smile, attentive and very timely and made us feel very welcome. Would highly recommend!!

The manager Hollie is an asset to this business and I hope it realises it and recognises her. She is an example of an excellent can do and customer centric service mindset and behaviour. I am so appreciative for helping my elderly parents (one who is in a wheelchair chair), my partner and myself have an enjoyable meal before a theatre show. Thank you so much.

Brilliant service and lovely food

Been in for the afternoon tea meal, absolutely lovely food. You get 2 mini fish fillet in a roll with salad, jumbo sausage, 2 fishcakes, 4 onion rings, 4 battered gherkins, plate of chips, mushy peas, curry sauce, and for dessert bread and butter pudding and 4 banana fritters with custard and biscuit sauce and 2 pots of tea. Definitely enough for 2. All freshly cooked and again absolutely lovely. Great service from Hollie our waitress, very friendly and caring, explained everything. Our chef was John and top marks to him for perfect cooked food.

We've really enjoyed our fish and chip tea voucher. My son bought the red letter voucher as a gift last Christmas. We redeemed the voucher online for Harry Ramsdens in Great Yarmouth. It wasn't busy (November) so we were served immediately, with a friendly smile. The tea, consisted of fish burgers, fish cakes, frickels, onion rings, battered sausage, chips, mushy peas, curry sauce, tartar sauce and a pot of tea for two. We also had bread and butter pudding custard, banana fritters and caramel sauce for after. The food was lovely and tasty and I was so full. The building is very old, based over three floors and in need of some renovation.....Water on the floor in restaurant from a rain leak, constant running water in urinal in gents toilets and hand dryer broken. All that said we would definitely eat here again.

Not the best experience I have had. Had to wait a long time for the meal as there was 1 servicing the tables and 2 cooking. The restaurant is attached to the takeaway and the takeaway and dilivero etc took preference. When the food arrived, one meal was not very hot and the fish was dry. It's fish and chips, not the most difficult meal to cook. The service was sparodic. Will not be visiting again.

Came on Friday night, the manager had sent all of the staff home except the cook and one waitress. The cook in particular was amazing and coped with a packed restaurant and takeaway all by herself. The food was delivered quickly and was perfect in every way. This lady deserves a pay rise and she was extraordinary in very difficult circumstances.

Take Away. Took our money .. then realised the collection que was bigger then the purchase que. Waited 45mins. Every one else was getting chips like the restaurant, just eat and the seagulls. Just not us. Poor service system. Can only cook one order at a time . 1 star.

It was very busy on Sunday at great yarmouth Harry ramsden but the service and food was fantastic. Food was hot and extremely tasty. Well done to the staff as the restaurant was neatly overflowing with customers

We went to Harry Ramsden's for a fish and chips afternoon tea. The servers April and Hollie were excellent as are all the staff. Will definitely be going back again soon.

Great Yarmouth waited 25 min ordered cod chips x2 £25 fish dreadfully small mentioned this to girl on counter we weigh our fish shrugged her shoulders walked of very very small portion though it tasted good poor portion size for the money and value don't think I would use again

Afternoon Tea with Prosecco was a different and very enjoyable meal and a change from tea and scones. Food nicely presented, flavourful and hot. Hollie our waitress was friendly and helpful and explained each item presented to us. We would recommend the afternoon tea to anyone - great value for money too!

Had a day out in Great Yarmouth on Thursday and popped into Harry Ramsdens for my tea. Couldn't fault the service and the food was gorgeous. It is the place to go for eat in or take away. 🙂

I loved my trip with my friends the young waitress made me a very special Eton mess with biscoff a really kind and pretty girl ! And the older lady was very kind and lively also

Tia and Tara were excellent. They made sure we were seated and pointed out we could use the QR code to order if we wished. Food was brought out to us with a smile and they also interacted with my 2 y.o which made him happy.

If you’re not white, do not step foot in this place unless you want to be looked at sideways, spoken to rudely and abruptly, have staff sigh in your face or mutter under their breath when taking your order… but when serving white customers they are full of smiles, patience and jokes. Especially the larger blonde woman and older lady, completely rude. Food is so average, nothing special can find better elsewhere but you lose your appetite even more when you are presented with this kind of service. Don’t waste your time.

It was our first time in England and our first time trying real fish and chips. If you want to know the true flavours of fish and chips, this is the place to go. We loved everything, it was unforgettably great!

So I just went to harry Ramsden and it is by far the best fish and chips I have ever had in my life the price is a little pricey but for that you get a really long battered fish,a normal sized portion of chips and you get a free side too which I took the beans and it’s absolutely amazing.I will definitely be going again next time I go there

Was bought fish and chips afternoon tea as a gift. Uncertain as what it would be but it was amazing. Good choice of food to eat and the same with dessert. Would certainly recommend as an alternative treat or present. Hollie at the Great Yarmouth shop was warm friendly and made us feel very welcone.

My meal was very nice and the service was brilliant considering there was only two people working and were very busy. I am not a big eater so the nice man serving allowed me to have a kids meal which was more than enough

Good Al round deal great food and good service

Waited over 30 mins for my order, then after querying this, half of the order had been taken by someone else. I then had to wait longer for the replacement items but was given the skinniest bit of cod- didn't justify the £9.50 I had paid. My friend's order was completely lost even though they had paid. Very poor organisation and service. Won't be eating here again.

Food and service standard was top notch. Female on duty was alone and managed a full restaurant with grest aplomb whilst remaining pleasant, helpful and unstressed.

Nice view of the promenade, very good fish and chips and curry sauce. Tara’s service was excellent.

Disappointing experience in a restaurant that felt more like a very average seaside cafe. Fish ok but chips were less than average. Poor quality ice cream to finish. Gave up waiting for the cup of tea.

Food was surprisingly good considering we was expecting a sit in chippy. Service was good and fast. Atmosphere was.. well bland. If they can find a way to improve the atmosphere it would be a solid 10 out of 10

Lovely chips. Tasted buttery, and the curry sauce was great. Would recommend if you fancy something light for lunch.

Excellent food and good service

Shockingly slow takeaway service for all orders from the dedicated counter at the Great Yarmouth store and the quality of the food was shockingly bad. The chips in particular were soggy and greasy and done looked like they’d been hanging around for a VERY long time. The sole person taking orders seemed to have no sense of organisation or urgency and - when another customer asked where the bread roll was that she’d ordered, he left the counter for a good length of time, went out the back of the shop, and when he came back said it would be another couple of minutes as it was straight from the freezer! Harry Ramsdens don’t deserve (or want) your business based on this experience. I’d also suggest they seriously rethink the idea of putting a card asking you to leave a review in the boxes as this will be what happens!

Staff were friendly and welcoming, food well presented and cooked. Our experience of Afternoon Fish & Chip tea was good value for money and highly recommended. A special thanks to Daniel who served us and the chef Izolly. Thank you.
