Best chips in yarmouth. Decently priced and always quick service too. Only complaint is that it's not a 24 hour chippy!

definitely be ordering from here again,had the med cod and chips with side and a drink,which is a great deal in itself at only £11. 99,but the fish is so fresh and tasty and the chips perfectly cooked....i won't be ordering from anywhere else again

4 staff members behind the counter and nobody in the queue. Took a lifetime to serve me the most unappealing portion of fish bites and chips in the universe. The fish inside the batter was about the size of a penny. I'll NEVER return to this place. £15 for 3 meals of this size. Unsatisified and hungry 😠

There is plenty of space inside, free cash atm and toilet. The large herring and chips were large and good priced. Fast served and very good food. We are coming back!

The plaice was vile. Had a strong fishy smell and ammonia and strong off fish taste. I’m pregnant and would not call that safe to consume.

Lovely freshly cooked plaice and chip. Just the right quantity for a pensioner and realistic price. Mug of Tea was lovely

A rainy day in Great Yarmouth and you really want to sit in and have fish and chips, so was delighted to find this place just off of the main front. Very friendly welcome with the counter in front and the tables and chairs to the left. TV on the wall and music playing. Both sound on but not a disaster on the ear drums. To sit down we had to pull the table away from the bench seating along the wall, something which we later discovered to be a shop policy as once another couple left, the table was pushed back against the bench seat, which doesn’t make it too welcoming, but probably helps with sweeping and cleaning (something they were very rapid at doing). As for the food. Medium cod and chips for both of us, with mushy peas on the side. It was all very tasty and the chips were cooked to perfection. Nice and fluffy. How it was served was the concern for me. It was served on a small round polystyrene plate. Absolutely no room for the peas with salt and vinegar needing to be administered by lifting the fish out of the way. Wooden knife and fork as well. Fortunately this didn’t detract from the food quality which was very nice but I left feeling that this restaurant was suffering a bit of an identity crisis. It called itself a restaurant and looked like a restaurant but it identifies as a take away. Honestly I think I would have preferred paper to the polystyrene nonsense if I wasn’t getting a proper plate. Don’t let this put you off though. Friendly guys, good quality, reasonably priced food. I’d go back.

A nice friendly restaurant that you can dine in or takeaway. Also great value.

We had haddock and chips for lunch and sat inside. The staff were lovely. The batter was very light and crispy. The price was very reasonable and we will go there again.

Driver or cyclist went wrong road chips were cold fish was very oily and the oil coming off it was syrupy colour won’t be ordering again

Lovely staff, tasty cod and chips and the portion size was spot on. They make a decent brew too. What's not to like? Will definitely go back next time I'm in the area.

The chips was too hard to eat so we didn't eat them and the fish was such a disappointment, tasted warmed up and just not nice. Was not worth any of them money tbh. Very disappointed

Absolutely first class service...My new 'go to' place for fish & chips...cooked to perfection...(I asked for my chips a bit browner and they duly obliged...lovely stuff!!)

no updates, food arrived 1hr & 10 min after ordering. Delivery driver didn't say a word just handed me the food. Food was cold & chips were especially poor quality . Probably the worst food I've had on just eat so will not be using again.

I’ce cream was just put in bag with hot food so was defrosted when delivered, chicken breast was the size of a pigeon breast, ordered many times before but after this debacle never ever again.

My food never got delivered and the restaurant did little to help. And just eat itself is a useless company to try and resolve or even find someone to actually speak to .

If I had seen such poor reviews, I honestly would have gone there, but my fish & chips was absolutely lovely, some of the best I’ve tasted.

Lovely fish and chip's hot and crispy fish lovely.

Good delivery time. Kids said nuggets were good, chips were tasty, pies were nice, cod was also good but skin was on, which is down to personal preference that we like it without. The only negative was the battered sausages weren't very hot and the actual sausage was a funny texture and didn't taste very nice. Overall good so would use again.

The worse fish and chips ever,anywhere. Dripping in old brown oil,the oil in my care engine is cleaner. Served on a paper plate with plastic cutlery. If your fancying fish and chips look elsewhere, the staff won't mind not with the couldn't care less attitude. They will give my town a bad reputation.

I honestly don’t like leaving such negative reviews (i know, ‘That’s what they all say, Karen!’) but the chips were brown, rubbery and tasted like they’d been warmed up since this morning. The pie had clearly been microwaved and was dry and rubbery. I would absolutely not order from this place again. Even the kids (whom I have caught licking live snails) wouldn’t eat it.

Poor quality fish and chips considering it was a seaside cafe. The Fish and chips were dry. Service was adequate but nothing to shout about The general ambience was poor, and the place was plain and undecorated.

To start with we would never go there again ...the girl needs people skills when serving, sweeping the floor why we were eating....going to the meal the chips were dry and bitty the curry was water the peas were tin peas which had a horrible taste ...I think you should get a better chef ,the toilets not nice the atmosphere was not great to sum it up it was utter s##t

Quick service and delicious cod & chips.

Food arrived on time and hot. The chips were nice, the cod and cod bites were lovely, however, the savaloy was hard on the bottom where it had been out for ages and the curry sauce was really watered down and tasted funny.

Don't eat in here after 7pm...Whilst you are eating, the floor is being swept throwing up dust etc around your table....When complained, was told we have to because we have been open since lunch time and we close at 8pm.....So, we had to suffer whilst we were eating....NEVER NEVER again!!!!!! Don't care attitude...When asked for money back..was told he would have to speak to Manager....who then was unobtainable!!!! Somebody was there..hiding in the background!!!!! Ruined meal...

We popped in here for lunch, we noticed it up the side road and had a look in, place looked clean and tidy so we decided to eat here, we were severed by a younger lady who was extremely polite. Food was reasonably priced and came rather quickly. The only downside was having to pay for sauces, you’d expect tomato ketchup to be available when sitting in but overall the place was great for a quick lunch stop. Food was great and enjoyed by all 4 of us.

Missing an item and when I called, they said it was there but wouldn’t be sending the driver back to deliver it. Said I could cancel and re-order but it meant I’d have to pay the delivery fee twice! I tried to explain this but it wasn’t great customer service from the restaurant. Won’t be using again.

Fish was burnt and dry. I got soggy rolls I didn’t order so fewer chips. So unlike usual standard from this restaurant.

Do not eat here, dry small piece of fish, cold chips, polystyrene plates and plastic knives and forks.£38 for 2 adults and 2 under 10s too. Had to pay 10p extra for a sachet of tartare sauce too. Awful. Save your money

Young girl on the till had no people skill and was more concerned about her fake nails than takin orders 3 of us had battered sausage and are now ill from this so make sure there cooked properly

Worse fish and chips possible. Gosh was dry and old, chips was okay. Curry sauce was nice. High chairs were terrible and service was shocking. The girl there needs to learn to smile a bit. Only reason we came here was because nothing else was open, never again

Batter sausage was the smallest I’ve ever had. Had to pay for ketchup 10p per sachet which was day light robbery. The chips were dry, a good size for the price but definitely will not be going back. Still in shock that you have to pay for ketchup in a chippy!
