First time here. I went for a coffee and cake after cleaning my parent's grave. The cafe is lovely and welcoming. Prices are good. My cappuccino was first class but my fruit scone was awful. It was dry and didn't taste great, which was a shame. Either it was stale or the ingredients were not great.

Had the best afternoon tea at the Garden tea rooms. The sandwiches were perfect, absolutely delicious, crusts cut off, all dietary requirements catered for with advanced notice. The cakes were really lovely, very tasty and freshly made. Andy and Gail welcomed us with a smile and said hello when we arrived, showed us to our table. The food was excellent, they topped up our tea and coffee. The setting is so relaxing and peaceful. It’s very reasonably priced for what you get, it beat me and Andy put a couple of my cakes in a bag for me to eat later at home with a cup of tea bless him. We highly recommend afternoon tea at the Garden Tea Rooms, for the warm friendly greeting, the delicious food and drinks and the relaxing atmosphere and whole experience.

After attending my brothers funeral we decided to have refreshments with some of the funeral party before they travelled home. The tea rooms themself are nice and the tea and coffee also good, but the catering manager Andy leaves a lot to be desired. Someone moved a chair to which he leapt out of the kitchen to bark across in front of everyone that “don’t move the chairs we might need to get out in an emergency. There is really no need to speak to people in that manner anytime and especially after a funeral. Also another family member used the wrong door to the toilets which he was then shouted to get out this is a private room. Whilst I appreciate everybody has bad days I can assure him it was not as bad as ours. Compassion and empathy not rudeness would of been so much better.

Great food, lovely atmosphere and great setting. Met with family before a funeral and was so nice to have a place to meet and to laugh together and share memories.

We visited the tea rooms before a funeral, what a lovely, welcoming place it is, lovely coffee and beautiful lemon drizzle. We found ourselves back here for the wake in a separate room. The Host was absolutely great, he made sure our cups were never empty and the food was all fresh and obviously made there. If I could give you 6 stars I would.

We recently used the hospitality room and afternoon cake and tea/coffee after a burial service. Andy could not have been more helpful in arranging and was very supportive during the afternoon. The cakes were delicious and everyone commented on how tasty they were and how frequently they were offered extra tea or coffee.

I’m sorry to leave such a low star rating as the coffee was lovely and the lady that worked behind the counter! Unfortunately after a 2 hours car trip to meet my family to inter one of my very close family members ashes! I didn’t expect to be greeted by a very curt blunt man called Andy behind the counter! I was very desperate for the toilet and had every intention of buying a coffee! There was a couple of lady’s in the queue so I decided to head for the toilet first then queue up! I accidentally went into the back room as this is where I thought the toilet was! To be then asked very abruptly what I was doing in there! He then went in to say the toilet was out the front and presumably I was buying a drink! His manor wasn’t what I was expecting at a place you would only ever go to if you had been recently bereaved or visiting a loved ones place of rest! As a family we have been recently bereaved and feeling a little fragile! I’m not an overly sensitive person but obviously was going to lay rest to a loved one! So maybe a little more emotional than normal, to be honest you just in that situation want to be greeted with kind words and a smile! Where the tea rooms is situated at the crematorium I would have thought the importance of someone kind is so important! I did cry in front of him and told him I didn’t like his attitude towards me and thought he was very rude! He didn’t once try to apologise just continued to tell me he wasn’t rude and he was the manager! The fact I was upset and crying just made me even more upset that he really didn’t care! Not the right person for the job!

Made our first visit to the Garden Tea Rooms last week and what a lovely new place, only wish we lived closer so we could go often. The range of food and drinks are fantastic and I guarantee you will not get cappuccino or mocha drinks better anywhere and then when you add on the teas, milk shakes and great selection of hot chocolate drinks including the indulgence, well you just can not go wrong, there was a great range of cakes available when we went, there are bagels, wraps, toasties with some lovely fillings and my personal favourite the tiger bread baguettes , I had an egg mayo and bacon, yum, yum, yum. and I would also like to mention the service, it was first class. Anybody visiting here will not be disappointed, can't wait to go back. PS, Great prices too.

I’ve known and been to this dynamic and friendly cafe on and off over the last 10 years or so. Whenever I’m in town, I’ll always make a beeline for the Hamburger, always enjoy the great food and drink, and all the friendly and hardworking staff, a special mention particularly to Shirley, Rachael, Claire, Kelsie, Lilly for always providing service with a smile. Now back home, I feel sad to have said goodbye for another year, and only hope that we will keep in touch, and vice versa. The atmosphere, the food, drink, service etc., is exceptional and top class! If you love American food, e.g. beef burgers, breakfasts, ice creams, other meals, I’d fully recommend that anyone reading this should make this your first priority.

We sat outside for a post Parkrun drink in the unexpected warm sunshine. The super friendly barstaff were on hand to sort out a tub of fresh water for our black lab Bruce and even loaned us a bucket & spade for our little grandaughter to play with on the beach.

The Fig is a lovely and lively venue for a family get together and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The only downside for myself and a couple of the others is that the portions are very large and everything comes with chips as standard. It would be great to have another choice, such as rice. That said. very good value for money and would recommend it.

Visited the Boathouse on our last night in Norfolk and we chose well for our farewell dinner. The weather was terrible so it was lovely to step inside the really tastefully decorated restaurant. The staff were lovely and friendly and gave us a warm welcome. My husband had the mussels which were delicious he had asked for a starter sized helping but he was given the full meal size so I had to help him to eat them. I had the cod it was enormous and also absolutely delicious, it came with Indian flavours and an onion bhaji absolutely gorgeous. We would highly recommend a visit there were so many tempting dishes to choose from. The lady on the next table had the homemade beef and ale pie it smelt amazing.
