The best restaurants in Forest Heath East of England

Food was good, service was great, my kid loved it. Chicken chow mein was yum, chicken skewers were juicy, gyoza was good. We will be eating here again.

Popular place in town day or night. Always a band on at the weekend or there's the challenge of karaoke on Thursday evenings. Staff are friendly and make you feel welcome. They're very personable and the main reason I like going in there. I've not had the food there myself but I've never heard anything bad about it, I like to do my own food at home, that's my own choice and nothing to do with the wagon.

Used many times over the years, we definitely won’t b anymore. The chicken burger looked like a McDs hash brown. It also had very minimal salad slapped on the burnt bun. Other places give real chicken breast for a similar price, this was like an economy supermarket chicken burger. Chips were also partially cooked in the middle. Quality standards have severely dropped - this use to be our favourite, not anymore.

Ordered pizza from here for years and have always had little issues but it's getting bad now. After ordering double decadents the top part of the pizza is usually squashed into the corner of the box so usually have to move it back in place. This time I tried to put it back in place and saw that the pizza was cut in random places which meant they cut it like that in the shop and still sent it out like that. Also had a hair on the pizza. This place has gone down hill big time.

Okay. Same trip: --man staff-member who took order super friendly and articulate, helped my friend's unruly kiddo settle down his excitement with some coloring crayons and a batman figurine. Really personable, but was not at front of house for long. --woman staff-member who delivered order, when she was told--after we ordered a second round of food--that the fries were way too salty and inedible, told us the 'trash is over there, feel free to throw it away.' Which, to me is inexcusable when we spent over £100 on coffees, drinks and various meals during our hour long stay in an empty restaurant. She could most definitely fry us up some .50 pence fries as a replacement. There was no other assault on her time. I don't know, I have very low standards for service workers. They have it hard enough, but my baseline is--don't be an ass. Her attitude was enough to make me feel so sorry for the other guy. A word to the hiring team--this woman is your downfall. Find another human who respects people, customer or not. If you're getting tons of complaints on the food/service--that's addressable. Address it. Oh. And don't order the avocado toast! It's dry toast, with nothing but poorly sliced avocado on top. No mashing, no spices, nothin'. We got it for the kiddos, and they didn't even want the toast. It was rough. Coffee was fine and the BLT was fine. Nothing else felt okay about this visit.

Extremely fast takeaway and you get tons of food! The majority of the time I have plenty of leftover for three next day.

Brilliant pub, brilliant atmosphere! Locals were all very friendly & welcoming & the landlords, Ashley & Samantha are the friendliest & loveliest people I've met as pub runners. Top place x

Toilet was plugged, big queues, they didn't have any filter coffee brewed and ready. But there's not a lot of options on that road so stop while you can. UPDATE: visited again today, years after I left this last review. Again, no filter coffee and the toilet was closed. Amazing work.

I suffer with anxiety and have an emotional support dog as support. I just went in the garage shop with my dog with her yellow vest on, which clearly says "emotional support dog" and was told that I can't bring my dog in the shop. I stated that "she is my emotional support dog" and moved so the male could clearly see her vest. I also stated that if I can't bring her in, I wouldn't be able to go in the shop. I came out to my car without purchasinganything, it has left me shaken and had a full panic attack. I won't be using this garage or shop again. Just wanted to warn other people in the same boat as me. Hence the 1 star.

The food was bland and not at all what we were expecting, the safe were really nice and the atmosphere made me think of being back home in the U.S.

Have had some wonderful meals here in the past but were disappointed with chaotic Sunday lunch today. Long waits. Place ran out of glasses so water served in wine glasses.
