Sakura - Japanese & Chinese Restaurant in Forest Heath

Food was good, service was great, my kid loved it. Chicken chow mein was yum, chicken skewers were juicy, gyoza was good. We will be eating here again.

The customer service is far better than a lot of places I’ve been to. Amazing customer service. Very hard working people. Food was delicious!

First time visit to this restaurant very dissatisfied service was diabolical so slow in taking order food never came out at the same time waitress had no eye contact when asking what you would like never asked if we wanted anymore drinks and when we asked for the bill we were bought the card machine with just the amount showing so we could not check if the bill was correct. Will never go back and will definitely not recommend this restaurant to any of our family or friends.

We order delivery from here regularly. Have only tried items from the Chinese menu but it is the best I have had in years; as good as the late lamented Golden Egg in its heyday. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Wouldn’t order Chinese food from anywhere else.

We order at least once a month. They are so careful when preparing our daughters food as she has celiacs. Like most places there is not a lot she can order but enough. The prices are a bit high on some things but overall fair. We have never had a bad meal there ever.

Throughout the 80 times my wife and I have ordered this, we have been greeted 80 times with a good excellent and positive vibe at our door. It is clear that they care about their business and customers. I love the pride they take in their business. Highly recommended!

Lovely staff and great food. Excellent value and variety. My husband had fried udon noodles and loved it. I had sushi and could barely finish it. Great portion sizes. Our waiter was amazing and so nice. We'll be back!

Best Chinese fur a very long time. Will be re ordering. Portions large so enough for next day. Delivery arrived promptly.

My family and I really enjoyed our food at Sakura. The service was quick and friendly and the food was very tasty. We ordered far too much, but it was all very nice, so we ended up taking the rest home.

Sakura was recommended to me by a New Yorker who works on the American airbase and who had previously been stationed in Japan. We went with very low expectations because we have been so disappointed with the standard of Japanese food in Cambridge and Mildenhall. Wisdom of trusting New Yorkers confirmed. Sakura is definitely a cut above, at least for Japanese food (didn't try any Chinese). There isn't anything fancy on the menu and nothing is spectacularly good but it is substantially better than the local average. I didn't think it was particularly expensive for sushi, and anyway am highly suspicious of raw fish on the cheap. Would definitely recommend the spare rib donburi. Sashimi and maki roll are good, salads are lovely. Only complaints - titchy portions of ginger and soft shell crab tempura was somewhat overcooked. Lastly, it's spotlessly clean and the staff are nice. Will definitely go again.

Sakura in Lakenheath is a clean, well laid out restaurant. It serves both Japanese and Chinese dishes, and provides a takeaway menu. The sushi is fresh and clean tasting, and the presentation (even with the takeaway) is good. The quality of the soya sauce is good, with a sharp Japanese flavour. The portion sizes are good, and while a bit expensive, the balance of quantity, quality, and price make for good value for money. My only real complaint about the Sakura is they are slow. This too, I guess, is a trade off: quality preparation and presentation versus time. I leave that call up to you.

Staff seemed friendly, portions are generous,prices are slightly above average, service was quick. Quality wasn’t great though and we were disappointed with the food.

The customer service is terrible, everything is OVERPRICED. They charged literally £4 for 3 bites of rice, £1 for dipping sauce that comes with the sushi. We accidentally ordered the wrong thing due to her talking over us, rushing us and assuming and when it came to table we told her her that was not what we wanted, and she said “cant take back can order another side”... She doesn’t check on table after food is delivered you have to literally walk up to register to get her attention. The food is very bland, and not seasoned at all. I will NOT be returning. This is our second time eating here, giving it another chance from the first time we went and we ordered the SAME THING somehow our bill went from £32 to £50.

Japanese dishes are prepared by Chinese chef and so you do not expect good Japanese food here. Overpriced!

We love Sakura! They have a good selection of decently priced sushi and Japanese dishes. The Chicken Curry reminds us of our time in Japan. The staff are all friendly. We eat there all the time, it never disappoints!

No complaints here at all, we get sushi takeaway from here and the food is nice, packaging is decent, price is good. Really polite on the phone, I would recommend.

I literally eat here at least once a week. The staff is so friendly and the food is some of the best that I’ve had in this little area. I can’t recommend it enough. I’m gonna order it right now 🤤🤤

I went here tonight to have dinner with one other person. I waited very patiently for my food but it never arrived. I told my friend to go ahead and eat so his food didn't get cold. By the time he was done.....still no food and the waitress never came back by after having dropped off his food. When I asked the woman at the register to please not charge me for my meal because I never got it she replied with,"oh sorry, we're busy."
