Unfortunately we didn’t have the best experience here. We wanted to try and new spot in Tring. Menu had a great range. The food was cold. My partner had a full English and it just didn’t have a lot of taste! Definitely sticking to beans and brunch

My daughter wanted pizza and Da Vinci Restaurant is the place for a nice one. The pizza was a very good size and the price level is very decent. My wife just had a starter which was delicious .Drinks were good value for money- the gin&tonic I won’t comment on. Service was very friendly and fast. The Restaurant is not really the place to stay for a long time - it could do with a bit more ambience- but it certainly delivers in terms of food!

Another fantastic meal from Pheriwala. We’ve been coming for ages and I keep meaning to leave a review. Abdul, Mohammed and all the staff are welcoming and always chatting with the kids. I genuinely have not had a bad meal here to date. Highly recommend the Sri Lankan slow cooked lamb. For me it’s one of their signature dishes.

Wonderful buzzing place with great food and interesting selection of English style drinks( Dandelion & Burdock my fav) . The place has a great barn like atmosphere wirh tall windows overviewing green field, great farmhouse shop opposite to buy farm foods. We visited on the weekday and it was busy which is a great testiment to their quality of produce. Plenty of space for car parking. Will be returning again for sure!

Excellent coffee shop. Friendly and helpful staff who are clearly happy in their work. The cinnamon bun was delicious and the coffee is great. Place was spotless and we had a lovely experience. So nice to be served by polite young people rather than those who hardly acknowledge you, which is often sadly the case nowadays. We hosted on Friday 23rd August. Thank you and we will be back.

I took my 2 grandchildren here as a special treat. Sadly it didn’t turn out that way. In spite of advertising “child” portions , it turned out that these were only available on the cheese option. Obviously it would be too difficult to offer child portions on the other options. The waffles were not particularly appetising and the table and environment were somewhat grimy. The staff were surly and unhelpful and to add insult to injury it seemed inordinately expensive. Definitely won’t be going back.

This is a very expensive Thai restaurant with dubious claims to authenticity. The vegetable curry and egg-fried rice cost £19 and the selection of vegetables was poor being mainly bits of pepper and the odd piece of mushroom. No Thai-style vegetables. The prawn curry and egg-fried rice cost £21 so extremely expensive for a Thai restaurant. We had both these dishes in a nearby Thai restaurant significantly cheaper and much better quality. Where does the authentic bit come from, as there were no Thai people in evidence? One of the cooks maybe. On a more worrying front the place seemed somewhat grubby and it was unsurprising to discover that it has a hygiene rating of just 3. Will not be returning!

We stopped for lunch & ordered at 12pm, we were the first to order so food should have been good, Fish n Chips were awful, chips were rock hard, fish well overdone, just batter really, Veg burger sloppy & cold in the middle, fries were horrible, when we asked for mayonnaise the waitress said we had to get ourselves, we didn’t bother, wouldn’t have mad much difference to the food as it was tasteless in every way, when you are paying £15+ for a main meal you expect way better, food was worth £5 at most, beer garden lovely though, AVOID THE FOOD!

It was our wedding anniversary.. Always liked the Grand Junction for its location and ambience beautiful garden right next to the Grand Union Canal.. As it was only a Monday but a beautiful day we thought we would sit in the garden it was about 6pm ish… We both ordered a burger and chips.. So disappointed it was awful! £18 each and the chips were awful too..most of the staff were very polite except one older lady who was very brusque and not a bit customer service freindly, didn’t care that we weren’t satisfied.. We will come back to the Grand Junction but only for a drink..such a shame They definitely need to upgrade their food and chef! Very Poor!

We enjoyed a leisurely dinner with family and friends in an oak outdoor pod. Lovely to have space to relax and enjoy the food alongside conversation. Our waiter was upbeat, helpful and friendly even bringing our food with a smile in the rain! Great flavours and good choice to suit all tastes. We will be back!
