Great food very fresh and authentic amazing staff great atmosphere we travelled from high Wycombe to here and it was worth it

My specified delivery time came and went. 15 minutes later I called the restaurant "we are very busy tonight, your delivery is just around the corner". Another 15 minutes passed and still no food. I called again "yea it's on its way". Another 15 minutes passed "we just have to cook your naan bread". So basically they had been lying to me. Our food turned up a HOUR after it was meant to. It even said the original delivery time on the food. The naan was hot, rest of it was stone cold. They said they would refund 50% of the cost of the meal, this still hasn't happened 7 days later. This place is a shambles, full of broken promises. I understand they are busy but I ordered my food 2 hours before I wanted it delivered. Sure order from here, if you want your food a hour late.

Went here with my parents and my husband, we had a wonderful meal with great service, nothing at all to fault. Reasonably priced £50 a head with drinks starter, main and pudding

Ambience was OK, service was 0k. However, I ordered tandoori chicken, which did not arrive. When I questioned the waiter, he apologised, rushed off, and magically found one. Issue was it wasn't cooked properly. That night I was bad. Sickness and......... Don't think I will be going back!

Best Indian food we have had for a long time. The street food selection is fantastic - the Papri chaat is out of this world. Everyone was lovely and service very quick. Great value for money. Will definitely be coming back!

We downloaded the app and ordered in advance for delivery at 7. The doorbell rang bang on time and the food was amazing with loads of veggie options. Highlights included paneer pasanda which was perfectly balanced, with just enough sweetness, delicious spicy salty masala chips and rich, beautifully spiced creamy black lentils with the perfect amount of bite. Will definitely order again!

Excellent food for a farewell meal and also great value. Couldn't fault it. Will be back again soon :)

We'd been excited to try it, but really weren't blown away. Everything was perfectly tasty, but just nothing exciting. Loved the authentic decor but the lights were far too bright. We'll stick with Olive Limes.

We are not great fans of Indian but occasionally have a takeaway which we are usually disappointed with. This was an absolute pleasure. The samosa were light,hot, crispy and tasty. The crab fish cakes were also very good . Mains were butter chicken and chicken balti with a side of spicy aloo. Rice was fluffy and the mains were very good. The containers were good and well labelled. Will definitely return.

We were treated to a fantastic meal when we visited friends. From the moment we walked into the restaurant we were hit with the fantastic aromas & colourful decor, greeted with by very friendly staff, we were promptly shown to our table. A very impressive start and it only got better! The menu was varied with a few unusual choices alongside some of the more traditional Indian dishes. I started with Tiger Prawns Puri which was excellent, my wife told me the Bangala Scotch Egg was equally as good. I had the Bengali Beef Chilli Fry, probably the best curry I've eaten in the last few years. This place is fantastic I wish we lived nearer, never the less, we will be returning when we visit our friends next.

Fabulous takeaway from this new place. Friendly professional team. Neat stickers on the boxes. And delicious food - fab daal. And an unusual aubergine & peanut dish. Reasonable prices too - £76 for 6 of us to eat merrily.

I've eaten at literally 100s of Indian restaurants around the world. Was nicely surprised with this place. Menu is excellent and the quality of the food is top notch. The service was acceptable and courteous. Didn't book a table, as we were in the area after a 6 hour car journey. Did feel because we hadn't booked, we were pushed into a table next to the front of house. So I've deducted a star for this. Other than that, I'd recommend this restaurant. I would eat here again.

If you want something a bit different that tastes great, then eat here!! Lovely food, some very different options than your usual curry, all beautifully cooked and served quickly with a smile. Thanks so much. We will visit again

Recommended by someone on a Restaurant Forum, had never heard of it previously. The website looked cool and prices seemed low. We ordered, Okra Fries, they were hideous. Keralan Chicken Lollipop, bland and fried to death. Pheriwala Tiffin Platter, with Chicken Tikka, Beef Tikka, Lamb Chop, and Fish Tikka, everything tasted the same, nothing seemed to be been marinated Next was the Lamb Dhansak and some mushroom & spring onion rice. The menu was interesting, unfortunately, the "Cooks"were not capable and ruined what could have been an interesting meal out. Service personnel, were polite, but not trained, not a shambles but not far off.

Not sure how I go about describing what an amazing meal we had!! From the moment we walked in the service was second to none, vibes were really relaxed & friendly. Food was amazing, flavours intense & plentiful I can really recommend the monkfish. I ordered a side of aubergine mash which was hot! The waiter noticed I hadn’t eaten much of it & insisted that he replaced it even though I didn’t read the menu correctly: replacement dish was delicious! It’s such a gem of a restaurant in Tring I would really recommend it, already planned what I’m having on my next visit!

Bad company. Owners refused to accept my order twice now and I have to wait for a refund from just eat. They don't even accept and you have to call them to find out what's happening. Don't bother. Go to Haldi

Dissapointing experience. The food was bland and not flavoured enough compared to other indian places I have been to. The chicken lollypop as a starter was awful, it was just bland fried chicken. The paneer dishes were also tasteless. The servers kept asking us if the food is OK all the time instead of letting us eat. Plates and cutlery were being dropped by the servers, i think they were not experienced enough. The only nice thing about this place was the decor. I would not bother going back and I will save my money for a more authentic indian restaurant elsewhere

Pheriwala provided the food for my birthday party this weekend and it was excellent. So many of our guests commented on how amazing all of the dishes were. I'm sure there will be a lot of new customers as a result! Thanks for all the help organising in advance, and for delivering such a large quantity of food perfectly on time. Look forward to visiting the restaurant again soon!

This is the second time I've ordered a takeaway from here and both times I've thoroughly enjoyed it. Really nice flavours, naan bread was beautiful and fresh. Quick service and good value for money I'd say. I'll be hesitant to order an Indian from anywhere else now

So we visited the restaurant today for the first time as we kept saying we need to try different things and foods as our normal restaurant is getting far to expensive as we tighten our belts Not sure what to expect when it comes to a curry house as it’s street food themed and dishes and decor was quite rustic as I expected So I’m going to say it exactly like it was no fabrication or anything that’s not true So we were greeted and shown to a table as we was the first in there at 5.00pm The menu was soon to follow as if they wanted to get your order in asap I do find this very of putting as I like to take my time I’m not in a fast food restaurant We ordered poppadoms and pickles to try was ok not out of the ordinary just normal stuff Onto the starter not quite sure if it’s authentic street food as I’m was thinking But my partner’s chicken dosa food was cold and not very flavourful mine was lamb rolls and was the same texture of findus crispy pancakes although it was hot it tasted bland to me I’m sorry to say We did point out that my partner’s starter was cold when prompted by the waiter as he asked if everything was ok we told him that it wasn’t even warm And he did apologise and offered to replace it but it was to late by then as I’d pretty much eaten mine by then he was more than attentive Mains was very good and hot along with the sides and rice mine was a lamb curry and partners was chicken korma again flavoursome no issues We couldn’t eat it all because we had poppadoms and a starter so requested could we take it with us Was told I will get you a box so we had to box it ourselves not that’s an issue but had to ask for cutlery to be able to do as the plates and cutlery had been removed no offer of a bag to put it in found that a bit strange and of putting so had to carry it out as was Some of the waiters were very polite and attentive and another person was quite rude and not very friendly maybe that’s his way but again not my expectation of what to be expected from a waiter when it’s your chosen vacation to serve customers Will I go back maybe and maybe not I think the service could be better than what we received for some nothing was to much trouble but others it seemed to much trouble asking for water and Ice was like asking for gold I’d give it 9/10 because it wasn’t awful but wasn’t great maybe it was just different to what I’m used to and was expecting just a few tweaks and I’m sure it will get better than I experienced today as they say first impressions last

I love Pheriwala! This is my second time visiting and it did not disappoint. The service is fantastic, the staff are very attentive and always smiling. The food is delicious and well worth the money (the price is also great!). Highly recommend.

This was a wonderful find, the atmosphere and food were reminiscent of the amazing street food on offer in Mumbai. The service was warm and friendly to match. Highly recommend ordering lots of dishes to share and not as you would in a more traditional indian restaurant. The dosa's, pakora's and chaat's were a real treat, whilst the butter chicken was sensational.

I can’t comment on the food, because we didn’t get that far. We booked a table, but when we arrived nobody seemed to know about it. Kept us waiting in a very busy entrance/outside the toilet for 10mins, then told us it wasn’t their fault as a table before had not yet left (although he indicated to a different table to the one we had previously been told was ‘just being cleared for you’). An embarrassing experience, don’t take the booking if you do not have space for it - we left and went to Olive Limes, which was excellent!

A broad variety of dishes on the menu. Suitable for your curry house lovers but also caters for those who like to try new things.

Style over substance. Our server stank of fags. The wait was long. Menus were dirty. The food was nothing more than average after it came. The restaurant was also quite chilly. Wouldn't bother again!

A great newly refurbished Indian in Tring that has an eat-in restaurant and also does takeaway for the same menu. We ate in and had efficient service despite the restaurant being fully packed. All the staff are Indian, and some don't speak English who were bringing food to the tables, but those taking orders and talking to the customers were perfectly ok. The food was terrific, and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The waters were able to explain the options so we got what we expected. The food and beer prices were reasonable so allow about £22 per head all in.

Really good takeaway. Would strongly recommend. Very tasty curries, great rice and naan. Ready just as I arrived to pick up.

We had an amazing meal here a few months back. Really excited to go back next time we are in the area. My only slight complaint was that we got asked about 6-7 times if we were enjoying our food. We were, it was amazing, but let us eat it please!

This review is based on 3 visits to the restaurant. The first two visits were ok, just had a long wait for our food as it was busy on all occasions. All our parties were 4 people. The decor is a trendy graffiti style brasserie. There is a lot of staff on the floor. The reason for my 2 star review are mainly based on our last visit. The previous two visits were 3 star. The long waits apply to all our visits. - it takes a long time to get drinks and some of the staff don’t know what drinks they have. On our last visit one on my friends wanted a Malibu and coke (I know…) and the staff member did not know what it was. I had to point it out on the shelf. Then it didn’t arrive, but I noticed it on the bar so went up and asked if that was my friends drink. - we ordered starters and there was a whole mix up and ended up with 2 out of our 3 starters and they were cold. We arrived at 8.30pm and our starters arrived at 9.50pm. To be fair, the poppadoms came to the table very fast, but by the time it was nearly 10pm we were starving so we ate the starters. - When the main course arrived, we were given cold plates. When we asked for warm plates, they said they had run out. Surely they can put them the oven for 2 minutes or run them under some cold water. The main course was fine. - This is only a small thing but when they bring some hot towels at the end of the meal, there were 3 hot ones and 1 cold. Just strange. - To be fair, my friend was a bit fed up and hangry by all the events and had a word with the manager. He gave us 10% off the bill. But I would have much rather spent the extra 10% and have a less stressful dining experience. Unfortunately we won’t be back in a rush. If I can make a recommendation to the management, please take a day to train your staff and make sure you’ve got an ordering system in place. If the staff doesn’t understand a customer question, please let him come and get the manager to help to avoid misunderstandings. I come from a restaurant family background. I’m not completely unaware on how a restaurant is run.

My first Indian meal in a couple of years, and my first from this restaurant since it’s refurbishment. It was superb, with every dish having a distinct flavour, and with minimal oil. So different to the usual takeaway, and absolutely brilliant.

We ordered over the phone for a take away at 6:30pm. We were told the food would take 70-80 mins, which is fair as it's a Saturday eve. After 2 phone calls chasing our food, it arrived after 2 hours and 15 mins after placing theb order. We are visiting family who loves this Indian take away, so she was upset that they let her down. All the dishes were cold. The crab was small and fried but tasty. The curries were decent, the lamb with spinach and chickpeas was good and the Konkan chicken unusual but also good. The alloo papri chaat was in a box of 4. The ocra fries were the best of the lot, well seasoned and different to what we usually get from an Indian take away Overall the food was very good, but disappointed about the wait time, we would have appreciated a phone call from the place saying the food was going to be late, we didn't want to have to be calling them 2 times... Next time we'll either have to order as soon as they open on the weekend or during the week.

It's a bit noisy, so maybe not a romantic meal venue. But the food is great and the staff are really hardworking and pleasant.

The food was amazing, very generous portions and arrived quickly. The staff were all great, they checked in on us and were happy to give recommendations. I had only visited the previous restaurant at the same location and I was impressed with the new look and updated facilities.

We tried the food as a takeaway initially and after being really impressed we have eaten in the restaurant regularly since. The staff are great, friendly not pushy. The food is delicious, and original, though has some of the usual favorites.

Dined there as a family group of six.Food took a long time to be served.Eventually two main dishes arrived including my duck dish.There was then a gap of 15 minutes Then more plates arrived , including my rice.By this time my duck was cold. I pointed this out to a waiter who said he did not understand.He went and fetched another waiter,whose English was better He took the dish away to be reheated,which took another 15 minutes by which time the rice was cold.Eventually one of our party asked for two coffees, again another waiter could not understand and just looked quizzical.He then fetched anothe waiter who ordered the drinks.

Slightly early review as we've only been in for take away collection. But restaurant looks great. Very enthusiastic team. Food perfectly fine. 'Street food' is stretching it a bit. Not sure you'd find chicken tikka masala roadside in Mumbai or Bengaluru. But the food is fresh and as described on the menu. Certainly our take away was generous and all fine, if very occasionally a bit bland. But don't let that put you off. Good to have some healthy curry house competition at this end of town. Hopefully everyone benefits.

Ordered take away at 6.30pm. It arrived at 8:00pm with half the delivery missing. Was told they would send remaining food within 20 minutes. Still hasn’t arrived at 9:00pm. Staff on the phone answer, but simply blame it on the fact that they are busy… and start talking to other customers in store when serving you. I heard really good things so was really excited to try the food. Such poor service, and feeling hungry and disappointed….

We needed somewhere to eat quite late (10.45) on Friday night after going to the theatre. We (5 of us) were made welcome, served quickly and my food was delicious.
