We love this place. Go when it is quiet for the best service. Best curry in the home counties.

Food is really good but service is horrible. Really rude and especially to female customers. The waiter would only address my husband and completely ignore any females in the group. We have stopped going there just because of it. Shame because we liked the food.

Go there, and get the murgh mussala. Honestly it’s amazing, such a fantastic flavour and so well cooked. Never had chicken breast so juicy. Would travel 100 miles for that one dish!

Best Indian restaurant in Hertfordshire. Excellent and friendly staff members. Boss is very kind and humble. Very amazing and delicious food. I recommend all of you to visit there if want to make your evening memorable. Thanks the boss of k2 balti house for providing us such an excellent services.

It's definitely one of the best places for curry in Dacorum. Another lovely meal tonight in the K2. Delicious food, good service, and delightful view of the floodlit garden.

The atmosphere and the service for this place is brilliant, and the food is exceptionally good and I can't understand why this place comes 35th on the Trip Advisor for best indian restaurants in the the area it should be in the top 10. I've met the owner and his son who are both great and welcoming people so I would definitely recommend this place.

This is a really nice restaurant. Nice atmosphere the food is really nice the owner mr raja goes out of his way to look after you. These days it’s hard to find a place like this. these guys get the combination right. Atmosphere,customer service and excellence food.

We were so impressed by the quality of the food and the great service. Ours was a large takeaway order for 25 people for our after show curry night at the Boxmoor Playhouse. Food was delivered on time at 10:45pm and was still piping hot! Everything was labelled which made my job of handing the food out easier. Thank you so much to all at K2 for helping to make our after show curry night so enjoyable. Everyone said how amazing their food tasted. We will definitely be using you again.

I had a perfect family-friendly dining experience at K2 Indian Cuisine. The garden is well-maintained, creating a beautiful atmosphere. The food is amazing, with a variety of delicious dishes, and most importantly the meat is Halal. Highly recommend for a wonderful meal!

Very bad service refused entry to the empty restaurant the was very unprofessional and very rude unfriendly not a place I’ll return to we will not go back there to attempt again or recommend anyone else’s to go there

Intimidating atmosphere, Staff are unbelievably rude and tried arguing with us before we had been seated so we turned around and left. A car was tailgating me down the main road, I signalled into the car park and was looking for a space within the tiny car park, all whilst being beeped at from behind. Turns out this car was full of staff members, none of them offered any apology. One front of house tried to talk over us and rudely hurry us to a table. Glad they showed us how they act before we had been seated.

Had an amazing meal with the family, food was very very nice, great selection of chutney dips more than any other Indian we have been to (which is a-lot). Came here 10 years ago and it did not disappoint this time round. Service was spot on, ignore the negative reviews because there was 10 of us and no complaints what so ever.

Mould on the tomato starter, a black hair for main ! Service was dreadful and we will not return. Food tasted good but wasn’t very warm.

The food was really good, and no more spicy than they said it would be. The house white was also very nice - I wished I'd asked what it was! The restaurant is lovely and big and airy, probably very pleasant in summer too. Staff were friendly.

Great tasting food. Excellent portions, decently priced. The service is good too and the atmosphere is great. Overall the experience was very nice however, the staff asked on multiple occasions when we would finish our food and they kept returning frequently which made us a little uncomfortable and rushed. Would be nice if they allow some patience specially when the restaurant was not fully booked out and many tables were available, this was also not close to closing time either. The quality and taste of the food is worth the experience however, some training required on improving service overall. 4/5 overall.

Food was excellent, certainly up there as one of the best Balti's I've had. The manager is a really nice guy and we had a good conversation about the K2. The rest of the staff were polite, although a couple of them gave the impression they would rather be somewhere else. (supose we all have moments at work where we would be happier somewhere else). The atmosphere was somewhat lacking, but we visited mid-week, and the restaurant was fairly quiet. Perhaps a busier night would have had more of a buzz. Food definitely demands another visit, so I will be going back soon...

Food was good but service was really disappointing and staff couldn’t be bother other than man in charge the others were rude tbh. Wanted to take the left over food home as we ordered loads and the waiter came out and chucked the takeaway pots on the table and said there you go and wanted us to put the food into them. Been before and had good service but will never go again. Parking is awful too- you get told where to park and constantly have to move the car as there is no space. Much prefer zeera in bovingdon!

Had a take away delivered by Just Eat. Food good quality, arrived promptly and was hot. Friendly delivery service that we had used before. There was a £3 delivery charge, a 50p service charge and a 10p charge for the plastic bag they used to avoid spillage and leakage. The food was slightly on the expensive side (I paid just over £45 for two people) but was happy based on the food quality. I would recommend trying them either as a take away or dining in (but book well in advance as can be popular).

Food good service poor,not sure about coming back !! ??. Don't like my cutlery being thrown onto table and I like to drink my wine not wear it. Didn't receive an apology for wine glass being knocked over by waiter. A mistake is a mistake but come on a simple apology would have been fine

The food as always was absolutely delicious, but unfortunately it was badly let down by the service. The waiters seemed as though they would rather be elsewhere.

Oh dear. Appreciate I went on a Thursday night but… shown to my table then once seated I was asked to sit in a different chair to make it easier for the staff to work the table. When I chose not to move (I wanted a view of the gardens not the empty restaurant) I got the stink eye off the waiting staff all night. I swear I saw an eye roll when I asked for another round of drinks ( one alcoholic 2 non) food was ok but samosa was under cooked and under filled. What a disappointment.

Sorry but atmosphere was lacking, staff were disinterested at best and rude at worst. Food was average. Value for money was v poor made an acceptable bill feel like an expensive waste

Do not think of going here if you are looking for value for money. The. Service was appalling. Packet food tastes better what a rip off.

We went on a week day so the atmosphere gets a 3 as we were one of 3 tables in a big restaurant, that's not their fault. That said the food was on par with my favourite local Indian and the staff didn't miss a beat. I will suggest their again next time I'm in Hemel.

Disgusting, cold food and the rudest fella at the end of the phone. Been a customer of K2 for years. Will never spend another penny with you again.

All meals were very good , nice presentation. Chicken tikka, biryani chicken,lamb . Vegetable samosas did have vegetables not just potato.

The samosas were oily. The Baji’s tough and dry. The lemon rice very oily and the chicken in korma was dry.

Great food, excellent atmosphere and nothing is too much trouble for the staff...

First class dining experience, plenty staff, absolutely fantastic food and great atmosphere. Really authentic food and different to what I would have had at other similar restaurants but better. Couldn't fault this place.

The food was good. The popodom sauces weee a bit odd, not the best tbh, I chose the lamb rogan josh, really nice, the naan bread was the nicest I've ever had, thin and light not like others that are thick and stodgy, staff were a bit moody. One of them snatched the menu from me. Hence why only gave a small tip!

Parking is a nightmare so if you are local I would advise a taxi/Uber. Extremely rude and disinterested staff. We were part of a large group celebrating a birthday and come 10pm staff were stood around with arms folded waiting for us to leave. Several of us didn’t even finish our drinks, nothing like being pushed out the door. Food was average, preordered buffet menu due to us being a large group, nothing to shout home about. Would not return, nor recommend. I would advise getting some friendlier staff!

Doesn’t matter how good the food is, if delivered late and it’s cold.

Car park is a little tight but managed to get a space. Some of the staff were disinterested as if they didn’t want to be there. The food however was delicious. Would have been 5* if not for some of the staff.

Delivery estimate said 2010 at latest. At 2010 the website showed it as "Enjoy your food" but in reality the driver was nowhere near and we didn't get it until 2035. Several main meals too cold to eat and were thrown out.

Large Indian restaurant once a pub with a charming river terrace on the River Bulbourne/Gade Parking is a bit of a problem. Decor is looking a little dated food and service was good the only downside is the acoustics of the restaurant it was extremely noisy with a loud party behind us.I think the wooden ceiling and floors didn’t help. Nevertheless our party had a happy time there.

Unbelievably good food! Expensive, but we believe you pay for good food and we will happily pay for the food again! We highly recommend!

Myself and my partner came here for the very first time and had the most amazing time. We were greeted at the door before entering the atmosphere and service from the staff was absolutely 5 stars! The food is absolutely amazing very tasty and well presented naan breads were a favourite of mine. This restaurant is also very reasonably priced , well worth a visit and definitely be going back Very soon. To all the staff thank you for making our first visit so wonderful!

Take away order: staff were dismissive, parking attendant was the most friendly. Mutton could have been more tender, sauce was mostly oil, rice was fine. Was just alright, meh.

Super food and fabulous service in a very well decorated restaurant

It wasn't the first time we ordered from here. The food is all right. However each time I come for a pick-up, I feel somewhat disrespected and I wonder if this is an approach towards woman or general. The staff seems nice initially and helpful if you call, but when you casually mention any problem with your order payment they will just say "ok, no problem", denying it. Every time I come and pay, while I talk with the staff, their manager comes and rudely interrupts just disregarding my presence and starts off heated discussions with the staff member. He did apologise about the wait at the end, which wasn't that long, however the lack of care and acknowledgement about the customer presence is contrasting a lot with the top treatment I received in restaurants located in other nearby locations, such as Cochin, where I was kindly offered a chair and a drink upon the wait for my order and no one would interrupt me half sentence.

Very nice popular venue. A bit style over substance, the food is done to please the British palate. I had lamb biryani which was poor, lean but tough meat in a bowl covered in pastry filled with tasteless rice. First time I've witnessed dairy cream being used in almost every dish? But hey the regulars like it!? Disappointed at £90 for 2 people!!!?? Could have had a more authentic curry experience for 4 people at that price. 😔

My colleague and I stumbled upon here whilst driving from one work site to the next. What a pleasant surprise it was! Food was excellent, by far the best curry I have ever had! Great amount of chicken in the curry, full of flavour etc. Staff were all very friendly even though we were tired and probably underdressed! If I didn't live 4h away I'd be here every weekend!

The food and restaurant was lovely. Service was a little rushed. Only just taking coats off and being asked for drinks order. Felt like waiters were observing when we finished our meal, so that they could immediately take away plates. Other than that everything was excellent.

Service is great! Venue is cool with a patio area overlooking a pretty garden! Food is tasty... I regret asking them to make it spicy 😂 fresh beers, really nice atmosphere too, eclectic mix of groups - friends, families, tradesmen after work, neighbouring businesses.

Visited the restaurant for the first time last night with my family, the food & service is excellent, will definitely eat here again.

Been going here on and off for a couple of decades, close to work but not so close to home, so a clear decision needed to go. But we do, nice atmosphere if a tiny car park. Very helpful staff and a good menu without being sprawling. On more expensive side compared to other local Indian restaurants, but the one we would go to every time.

Good food..!! Although I wish they didn't make the chicken tikka masala so much on the sweeter side. Service could've been much better but all in all it was a pleasant dining experience.

This happens on a regular occasion that the delivery drives do not know how to get to my address. If you employ delivery drivers they should know address or stay in a spot the customer has told them not wonder off and go somewhere else. Delivery is charged extra yet every time i have to go and find the drivers. The chicken was also inedible in one of the orders.

What an amazing meal. So tasty and full of flavour. Highly recommend as always.

This is the second time in two weeks I have visited and the food on both occasions has been good. I would have awarded it 4 or even 5 stars, but for the dis-interested behaviour of the waiting staff. Hardly anyone smiled, and it almost felt that they were doing us a favour by taking our order! This is a shame as otherwise the ambience and the food are both good.

I always loved K2 they have lots of staff which are always welcoming and helpful. The restaurant looks over a lovely garden and the food is always really tasty look forward to going back.

Food very tasty, but could have been a little hotter (not in spicy way) plenty of it. Attentive waiting staff, clean and tidy. First visit enjoyed it.

I ordered a meat massala, and there were loads of bones in my food and I happened to swallow one about an inch long. Was the meat supposed to be cooked on the bone, if so there was no indication of this on the menu... Like beware of bones, may contain bones, I have had a stomach ache for most of the morning. I hope it comes out

I phoned the restaurant after 20 mins to change the delivery time and they said it was no problem. The food arrived exactly when they said it would and it was the top quality meal we have come to expect from K2. Thanks :) :) :)

I honestly haven't been back for 20 years (having moved jobs and so not used the restaurant for entertaining etc) but when back with a bunch of pals recently. Food is still spot on and the service is excellent. If busy parking can be a little tricky but other than that, worth a visit

Pretty nice place, good atmosphere. Waiters a bit too attentive. They literally stand there watching you eat your food. No of them came over and asked how everything was or if we needed any more sides or drinks. The food was actually quite nice. The popadoms were the nicest I’ve ever had, probably why they charge 95p a popadom! My bill was over £70 and there was only 2 of us, I think this is very expensive for what it was. I would visit here again but it would not be too if my list.
