Terrible food. Nice beer garden. £18.50 pie and chips with one lump of grisol in it and two other pieces of meat. Nobody came and asked about the food and the table was not cleared whilst we waited for over 30 minutes.

The Grand Junction Arms is on the road from Dunstable to Tring and is on the outskirts of Tring next to the Grand Union Canal. A short walk up the canal is the junction of the canal where the branch to Wendover heads off. The pub has a very big outdoor area with plenty of seating, toilets and a bar. There is a large covered area as well as other benches to sit on. There is also a children's play area. I had been exploring the area and decided to get some refreshments before I continued my walk along the canal. The lady who served me was friendly and polite and the service was good.

We used to visit this pub many years ago on the way for dinner with some teetotal friends in Tring. We just had a pleasant lunch with our grandddaughter. Well presented food and good service Rather odd choices on the menu.

Recently came here for an evening meal. The service was incredibly slow even though the restaurant wasn’t very busy. The food, when it eventually arrived, was average at best. Disappointing especially as we’ve been here for drinks on several occasions. My partner complained to the staff on the evening and followed up with an email; he didn’t even get a response. Would not eat here again.

A very disappointing experience at the restaurant. Despite an easy booking service our visit was marred by several issues: We had to seat ourselves and find extra chairs. Prompted for drinks, but no menus offered. Burnt artisan bread for starters. Plates left uncleared both courses. Had to request dessert menus. Kids exhausted after over 2 hours at table, last patrons in entire restaurant after waiter left for night. Payment handled poorly, dry apology received. Expectations for your newly designed space which looked great bar the dangerous toilet stairs, with half a fell short.

We had a delicious meal in this charming canal-side pub in Bulbourne, just outside Tring. We had hummus and flatbreads with olives to start, as well as the wings - all very tasty. The mains are all generous - especially the fish and chips! Lovely staff, service was quick, but not pushy. A great evening out!

We took friends for lunch here this week - the staff were welcoming - there were only 2 other tables occupied - the food is really quite good - pies and fish and chips being the order of the day - quality and service very good - only two young ladies serving so they would be pushed on a busy day - the configuration in the dining area is narrow due to the old building so could be squashed - the main issue is although a canal side restaurant - you can’t see out and the windows have blinds down - which is a pity however this will be a great place in the spring summer - big garden - some under cover tables and pods - A good experience overall

Called in for Sunday Lunch. A decent sized car park with good access. We hadn't booked but we were quite early and they did fit us in at a window table with a pleasant view. The staff were excellent, friendly and efficient. Opted for the Sunday Roast which was tasty and plentiful .. and we did manage a dessert too. It's situated ideally for a canal walk.

We had the most amazing time from the moment we arrived in the car park in our motorhome, (free to park) we needed water for our heating, frank the manager sorted it out for us and lent us a hose and allowed us to fill up from there garden area, we were meeting friends the following day for Sunday lunch, so we stayed overnight and had drinks, the bar staff were very friendly and accommodating, we had lunch the following day and it was excellent, can not fault this place or the staff, 100% recommend.
