Good quality very poor and over cooked

missing all gravy and two meals. Phoned them apologised and to collect.and gave me a bottle of wine as an apology. Then gave me the original order. I asked for fresh one as had been sitting for an hour they reluctantly agreed. 10 mins later I got the rest of the order. went to the car and the food was cold. was either the original or not kept warm before it was plated . Was told to request refund. all food was cold by time I got home. Poor quality control appreciate them trying to fix

Expensive and missing Yorkshire puddings!

Ordered the beef but not to sure what meat I actually had if I had any! Full of fat. Not good.

We were looked after by a delightfully pleasaht lady called Sarah...she is fabulous at managing everything and is genuinely kind and caring towards all her customers. She is a true star and a great asset to Toby Carvery ...we had a lovely meal and thoroughly enjoyed lunch...our sincere thanks to all concerned and especially to Sarah for making it special.

We are staying at Travelodge next door for 3 nights. Yesterday (Sunday) I asked for a portion of scrambled eggs & it came no sooner than I'd sat down. However today I ordered some when paying for our breakfast. My husband had got his breakfast & toast, I had eaten my slice of toast & marmalade still no scrambled eggs. I went to servery & spoke to assistant so she went into kitchen to sort out. I still had to wait a good 5 mins, if not longer, before she bought my eggs out, by time I got back to table my husband had finished his meal. This is not good enough.

Had a great dinner at toby tonight, Dan my server was absolutely great, he was very friendly and made the experience really good! Def recommend!!!

We were served by Sarah who is always attentive and welcoming. Carvery was delicious as usual. We loved the new garlic roasties as well as the usual beef dripping potatoes.

Food was later than scheduled. I was missing an item which was the bottle of Ginger Beer. The portion of Popping Chicken was 6 stodgy bits for £2.99 ...talk about stingy. The Melt in the Middle roast was absolutely divine and the dauphinoise potato was nice. This is the second time Toby has forgotten to add the drink and the poor delivery guy who told me call Toby to send one after...Refund it is then!!

Came into toby on the 29th. Was greeted by a young waiter called dan who had was very polite. I then had a carvery witch was amazing meat was nice and juicy and was carved by a guy called Jake was friendly and had great banta. I treated myself to a chocolate fudge cake for pudding which was a 10/10 overall was a great experience and will definitely be back again 😁

The food and staff - quality, a rare find. From entering , to eating to feeling welcome, very seldom these attributes are found. Sarah , Holly, Cheff and all the staff worth 5 * Will definitely be back.

Extremely good value for money Great traditional British food, freshly cooked meat and vegetables at fast food prices.

There was no ice cream and the staff was really nice the chef was nice

Selection of veg was very poor on the night we went, worst for our DF member who ended up with only a selection of 3 items. Young lad who served us was nice enough. We like TC's but it was not the best one. Pur meat was the end of the beef and rather than starting a new piece we all ended uo with fat ridden meat we couldn't chew

Fantastic service, visited with my family this evening. The carvery was lovely, we got there just as fresh beef was cooked, the carver was polite, chatty and made my boys feel special. Our server Oscar provided us with great service too. Only gripe was the gravy was a bit lumpy, despite this it was still tasty.

Visited yesterday. Was actually asked to leave a review this time so they knew it was great. Friendly team who chatted and thanked us on leaving. Food was great and buffet was full

Some veg wasn't out, carrots cauliflower. The meat didn't look great. Yorkshire puddings were flat and hard.

The food was overcooked, cold and soggy. I won’t be going back.

Visited on Sunday afternoon. Ask staff were attentive and friendly but the food was dreadful. Everything was lukewarm. Sausages dried up and hard. I had selection of 3 meats and couldn't chew through the beef it was so tough. Ham and Pork were acceptable. Roast Potatoes also lukewarm. Paid nearly £40 with 1 beer. My wife has water. First visit to a Toby and we don't be rushing back. Too many good smaller pub options in our area.

I had visited toby carvery today for lunch with my children and was blown away the food tasted amazing and the service was quick thanks to our waiter Oscar who did a brilliant job at giving us the best experience so thank you so much for a wonderful meal I will definitely be visiting again soon

Visited today with my children. Our server, a lovely young chap named Oscar was great with the kids, he made their day and provided a great service. We were seated by I believe the manager Sarah who was very kind and attentive. Great place, will definitely visit again. Good food and great value

Ower server, Fatima, was very helpful and polite. New meat roasts had come out while we were queuing so the meat was amazing. Veg was a bit dry but grave helped sort that.

Beef was tuff as shoe leather service was poor don’t think we will go there again.

Staff were prompt across the board. Our server, Ellie, was very, very good and intuitive and answered any questions when asked with informative answers. Would have given 5 stars, but food never quite hot enough. A microwave or 2 maybe a good idea for those who like their food hotter.

The receptionist's attitude is the worst in the world! A girl with a ponytail refused to give me a seat I had reserved! The point is that it was already my reservation time, but she said that I had to wait there for 20 minutes because I made the reservation too late. It's too much! Waiting for others who made reservations earlier? Too funny! Seriously suspected of racial discrimination! The attitude is terrible! Don't eat here! Don't spend money to suffer! ! !

When ever we try and go, even if we have booked, they either lock the doors and close early or apologise saying something is broken and they closing early. What is it with this branch and always closing early

Cold food. Half a slice of meat. Hard roast potatoes. Very small portion of stuffing. Not worth the money

Very difficult to get a satisfactory table not being next to a walkway. With some tables being out of bounds for some reason although the restaurant was almost empty . Mash potato was cold so very disappointing.

Took over an hour and a half to arrive and the food was cold , bacon was like an of boot leather I’m actually shocked how horrific this is meal was ,never ordering again .

It was easy to order from Toby Carvery through delivery from Just eat beef roast I had a roast beef dinner for 1 which came on time & I gave the 4 digit code so the driver knew it was me they were delivering the meal to so it was nice & the food was lovely !

Brilliant Roast Dinner from Toby Carvery. Lots of choices but could with some greens, sprouts, broccoli, runner beans, etc.

Only can say lately about take-away not great & did expect better comparing to dining-in, mainly veg & could tell/taste had been sitting for hours - also wouldn't honor app/email offer on collecting as couldn't book before but didn't advise either I could have done it there & then! Will not return in a hurry 😡

We ate on a Friday evening at 7pm we hadn’t booked a table, so didn’t expect to get seated straight away but we only had to wait 5 minutes before a table was available. Food was great chef was very friendly and Sarah who served us was fantastic and couldn’t be more helpful. We wish we had some cash on us so we could give her a tip, as she was that good, she said a review would be great, so we were more than happy to do so.
