This is a very expensive Thai restaurant with dubious claims to authenticity. The vegetable curry and egg-fried rice cost £19 and the selection of vegetables was poor being mainly bits of pepper and the odd piece of mushroom. No Thai-style vegetables. The prawn curry and egg-fried rice cost £21 so extremely expensive for a Thai restaurant. We had both these dishes in a nearby Thai restaurant significantly cheaper and much better quality. Where does the authentic bit come from, as there were no Thai people in evidence? One of the cooks maybe. On a more worrying front the place seemed somewhat grubby and it was unsurprising to discover that it has a hygiene rating of just 3. Will not be returning!

Felt like a school dining room basic , cold , (door kept jarring and not closing ), uncomfortable plastic chairs . Chairs stacked on top of tables not in use . Two young girls, serving and front of house, pleasant enough but unprofessional. Food mediocre, took over 40 min for them to say they had no duck , then no banana fritters ( I offered to go to Tesco ) all in all decor , ambience ( there was none ) and food was pretty poor to say the least ., especially as it wasn’t particularly cheap. Will not be back

The curry was runny like soup, the prawn TomYam not at all spicy and missing prawns and the Pad Thai a pile of greasy noodles. There were many items in the menu not available and despite the place being half full service was painfully slow. The two waiting staff were very good.

We visited here for our son’s 15th birthday. We thought the concept was okand the main courses were very good although it seems only one Thai person working so not very authentic. We just felt that the focus on service and experience wasn’t there. This wasn’t the fault of those serving…the ladies were very polite but possibly the direction from owners/management wasn’t quite there. For example, we were told that the kitchen would be shutting at 9 (our cooking was 730)and we should order dessert during our starters. Also, they had a limited menu but were informed they didn’t have quite a few things…they had a starter platter with 3 items on it, but they didn’t have one of the items. They didn’t have banana fritters? Surely that’s just bananas? Plus a few other things on quite a limited menu. The tables were also quite narrow and when your drinks are served they are put at one end of the table. We just felt they didn’t really care about the customer. A group of people walked in at around 845 with the place half empty and they were turned away because the kitchen was shut…in these times, surely they want all the customers they can get? All kind of ok for a street food experience, but it was £200 for 5 of us so you would expect a bit more in terms of service and experience in my view. Personally I wouldn’t bother again…George & Dragon in Wendover much better and likely a fraction of the price.

Small place. Even smaller portion size! However it is delicious. Giggling Squid is better IMO for value.

An evening meal for 2 on Saturday evening (booked in advance). I've eaten in a lot of Thai food in restaurants in the UK, and abroad, and having visited Thailand I consider Thai food to be one of my favourite cuisines. I was looking forward to trying a red or green curry at Oh Phuket. The restaurant is small as expected, with quite a nice decor. On arrival I was surprised to be presented with a festive menu with a set price for 2 or 3 courses, the usual menu wasn't available. However the festive menu IS the usual menu, just rebranded for the Christmas period, and the price was a bit higher than when ordering the dished separately - at £25 for 2 courses it is expensive for Thai street food. We were asked if we'd like some prawn crackers but as these were NOT complimentary, I declined (it wasn't initially obvious that we would need to pay £3.50 for them). I also felt that we HAD to order the 2 courses (as minimum) as that was all that was on offer. We had the pork balls and spring rolls to start with - both freshly cooked, crispy and very tasty - but quite small portions of 2 spring rolls and 3 pork balls. We had the green curry with beef, and red curry with chicken. The curry sauce is authentic and looked and smelt very Thai - fragrant and appetising. On the downside, the beef was chewy and didn't look very nice, almost like cooked beef slices from a pack cut into small pieces. The chicken was also very bland. I'm assuming that the meat is added to the sauce at the end, hence it didn't absorb any of the flavours of the curry. The chicken was probably chicken breast, I feel that using chicken thighs on the bone would have provided more flavour. The rice was nicely cooked. There was nothing festive or Chrismassy about the meal - other local eateries are offering similar deals but include a Christmas cracker and probably better value meals. For this price I would expect prawn crackers or a Christmas cracker to be included. I don't think I'll be back - it is simply over-priced for the quality provided, which is a shame as I like to support local eateries and the staff (including the chef) all work hard.

Great addition to the high street. The pad Thai was delicious. However take care to check when you pay with any one tap device/card as waiter put £60 on the machine instead of £30. Luckily I spotted this and it was changed.

We have been on one previous occasion and had a nice meal, but we were so disappointed this time around. Clearly there are issues in the kitchen that need to be addressed. We waited ages for our starters - even though there was only one other table seated in the restaurant. When the mixed starters arrived, the chicken was cold and not cooked through - the response was not what we expected when we pointed it out. We left at that point feeling pretty cross Hope they sort things out - but we won’t be back

I eat a lot of Thai food in UK/EU/Thailand. I thought the pad ped tasted authentic, (asked for spicy). Tasted the Massaman also, which was nice and creamy. Made to order concept like some Thai street food places, so the mains take a bit longer, but they were hot/fresh when they came out. I would suggest to ask for the dishes as their ready rather than all at once. Friendly service.

Unbelievably slow service, took 1 hour for starters to arrive and another hour for mains, which had to be reheated as not hot, rice was hardly hot and had to be reheated, but never was. Only a very small restaurant with maximum of seven tables, could not cope with the small demand. New chef started this evening but very sad to say, won’t be returning. This was my second visit to the restaurant.

Really enjoyed our evening at Oh Phuket, every dish was like a party in my mouth! Highly recommend the Somtam and the kaijiew moo sab as well as the massaman and the jungle curry. Atmosphere was lovely, waiting staff were very attentive and it was a pleasure to speak to the chef to get some guidance on the menu. The decor and layout is well thought out and we just can't wait to come back. Thanks again for a great meal and evening.

Difficult one. Been a couple of times now and not great in any way on either occasion. A bit chaotic in terms of service and even basics like menus are all over the place. Unavailable items aren't explained and there were a lot unavailable items both times. Food itself is only OK, not bad but OK. But it should be amazing considering the low number of available options. Pricing feels high and both times it seemed a large amount for the amount of food and drink consumed. And combined with hit and miss service it just doesn't come across as a great experience. I think it lacks polish, definitely enthusiastic but not finessed. And considering the cost and nearby options I'm not sure I'll bother going back. But give it a try, your experience may differ.

Really tasty food! You'll probably find it different from your average Thai take-away because this is like home-cooked traditional dishes. The service is not exactly refined (uncomfortable chairs, plastic tubs with cutlery piled in, soft drinks served in cans) but once you get over that, it's kind of ok. Struggled to read menu (light font on patterned background).

Terrible service, mediocre food and broken glass in my drink! Won't be going back sadly. Overall: Food took ages to come out. Some mains served long before others, so dishes began to go cold by the time everything arrived. Ate our starters without cutlery or napkins. Had to ask for cutlery for the mains. The waitress spilled our drinks and curry when bringing it to the table. Food: Various menu items not available, yet inconsistently marked on different menus. Started with one of the most expensive spring rolls we've had at £3 per spring roll. They turned out to be quite tasteless and were only saved by the accompanying sweet sauce. Ordered a mixture of mains which were only okay. The egg in the Pad Thai was uncooked and the rest of the dish fairly bland. The Massaman curry was okay, but the staff forgot to bring the chilli we'd asked for. Penang curry was nice. We also ordered 'cans' of drink, yet we only had a glass full which we were certain was less than a can in volume. Others who appeared to be the staffs friends were given full cans. Broken glass in drink: I found a piece of broken glass in my drink which I only noticed it when I felt something sharp in my mouth. Luckily I hadn't swallowed it! I wasn't going to mention this glass incident in this review, as we were subtle when informing the staff at the time, but the fact they had the cheek to charge us for the drink and then added a 10 percent service charge on top of the bill (only removed after I requested it), I couldn't believe it. Service charge should not be assumed, especially when you could have caused harm to your customer! If this was to happen anywhere else you'd expect common courtesy to provide some sort of substantial compensation or at least the drink not charged for! All we got was an apology and an offer of another drink (which I definitely wasn't going to ask for at that point). I'm left shocked and bemused by the whole experience.

Really weird unfriendly welcome. Like we were an inconvenience because we hadn’t booked.. the chef came out and said “if you take their order quickly then fine” to the waitress who had yet to acknowledge us! The menu was unhelpful, no explanation on what anything meant or what was in it. When we asked the waiter he had to call someone else over to tell us what was in the curry. We ended up just ordering drinks and leaving as we did not feel welcome at all. Would not go back
