Warm beer, they ran out of Cobra, service amateurish at best, ate there last year and it was good, maybe a new chef or owners, not sure, you would be better off across the road, maybe try again in 6 months or a year or so. Bit disappointing really, but they had a good run

OMG ! What has happened to the wonderful Olive Limes Having visited this lovely restaurant for over a decade I was shocked to experience a truly awful experience this evening. Poor and slow service, low quality food and a lack of options on drinks made the experience a very poor one. The Raja land was a signature dish for many years and to see the sub standard, low quality food that was served today was a real disappointment. Olive limes is going through a managerial change and the chef has left. I really hope that they get back to where they used to be. Many apologies from the staff did not cut it I'm afraid. I will be avoiding the restaurant I have always recommended for a few months until they resolve these issues. Also get the basics right and replenish the soap in the toilet guys, seriously! Disappointing at best!

Fantastic atmosphere and service and the food was delicious. It was our first time at Olive Limes and we will definitely be returning very soon.

It's still one of the best curry houses in the area. Big tasty portions, but this time round, the number of chilli's on the menu didn't reflect the dishes before us. The two dishes with 2 chilli heat last time were our limit (madras), but this time we're very mild. The 1 chilli heat was too hot for the person who ordered it.

High quality, tasty dishes that were all well presented. Excellent service too! Well done Olive Limes! Highly recommended.

This is an Indian restaurant with a modern interior, friendly service and a choice of interesting dishes alongside the typical Indian fayre, although the menu could do with more detailed descriptions of the dishes. The quality and taste of the food was excellent and well above many other Indian restaurants in the area.

Excellent experience at this very smart restaurant. Service was faultless and fast. We told them we had only an hour as we had to be at a theatre booking and they responded accordingly. I would definitely visit again and maybe take our time more to enjoy the excellent food. We were booked for 6:00pm (when they open for the evning) and by 6:30 there were many tables occupied and the place was buzzing. 10/10.

My wife and I visited the restaurant last week.The restaurant ad ambiance is good and we were treated in a courteous manner on arrival.parts of the meal were good i.e pops,rice,bread and wine.However,the main courses for both of us were very poor.They were tasteless.It was if half of the spices and ingredients were missing.My wife had a chicken dish and the chicken was served in very large pieces.The reader may think that I know little about Indian/Bengali cooking but I personally have lived and worked there.We shall not be visiting again.C and K

We went as part of a large group 38. The manager was very accommodating and arranged a set menu. The food was amazing. Great quality and portion size. The staff were friendly, nothing was an issue. I would highly recommend and will be back.

What an absolutely fantastic restaurant. We were a big group of friends, an old work colleagues get together. We were upstairs in the larger function room, but the staff did an excellent job looking after us. The food was just amazing, tried some dishes I'd never had before and I was sold, just so tasty. If you're looking for somewhere to eat in the area, get yourself to this restaurant. Great staff, great food, in an amazing setting. The owner, Ala, is extremely friendly and will definitely look after you.

Booked for my wife’s 40th birthday surprise party for 38 people and wow !! Could not of asked for a better venue !! Zahid the manager was absolutely incredible along with his team !! Zahid understood what I wanted and was so brilliant with the way he helped organise the evening !! Top guy and top service ! Visit the Olives Limes a lot but on this occasion for my wife’s birthday the restaurant was freezing, my wife, mother in law and father in law had to sit and eat dinner in their coats , food was ok but the whole experience was spoilt by the temperature.

On a bitterly cold Monday evening, a good friend and I made another visit to our favourite Tring Indian restaurant, and as usual, were delighted with the food, service, and ambience, an experience shared with around a dozen other diners. We'll definitely be back!

Sadly we were disappointed by our experience at Olive Limes. Although the food was nice, the service was slow. Additionally, the waiter dropped food into a guest's handbag whilst serving us, there was no tea or coffee available and we were overcharged by £60! This was rectified when we pointed out we had been charged £66 for poppadoms. Our dissatisfaction was evident by the fact we did not leave a tip. I don't usually write reviews but you asked for honest feedback.

This restaurant has 100% declined ! The heating doesn’t work and people were eating with gloves on, we ate with our coats on. The service was shocking (just 2 waiters for upstairs who were expected to do everything)- no drinks could easily be ordered and dirty plates sat on our table for 30 minutes after finishing the starters. The mains for all of us tasted the same (we all had different with varying flavours/spices and heats). The Bombay potatoes were hard. The meat chewy. The food cold. We will never return. Shocking!

Food is good quality but the staff are very judgemental and give of an atmosphere that they don't want you there. Wouldn't recommend.

Awful service, cold room upstairs we sat with our coats on, food tasteless and dry. Meat in curry's were fatty and full of gristle . Toilets broken and unable to flush. Overall a bad service and no apology from manager. We paid for our drinks and poppadoms which is fair enough. But would not be recommending to anyone and will not return. Sort your service and chef out or you will go under...fact.

Well what can I say the first time I have br0ught my friends and they absolutely loved it as did myself and husband the service and food was impeccable we weren't rushed or bugged it was the best evening we have ever had thank you so so much we will be back

First time at this restaurant. Very friendly service and helpful. Menu varied and some new dishes not seen in many other Indian restaurants. All food was tasty and hot, served in different shaped dishes. Food seemed to be prepared and placed on the serving plates carefully rather than in piles. Chicken in our chicken tikka masalas was large pieces, almost half a chicken breast, so you knew was fresh not processed. Great place to eat and would definitely go again. Enjoy

Olive Limes is a wonderful dining experience - a very special place . I visited on Friday with my parents and boyfriend . The staff were so kind - they prepared a specially requested amendment to a dish for one of us . The food was as always superb and the service top notch . The Chicken Shashlik is amazing !! Omg it’s pathetic the food is horrible the puris were so tiny and tight no taste at all , the guy who was serving doesn’t even know anything about the food toast without butter. Go there if have extra money to waste.

Excellent restaurant for vegan food. The whole menu can be made vegan, as it is cooked with vegan ghee and the owner is super friendly and helpful. The food was also delicious, the service was impeccable. The owner made a special tea with ginger and cardamom and cinnamon and lemon (rong chai?)and it was delicious! 5/5 would eat here again!

We went for their weekend 'Colonial Thali' brunch. The restaurant is very fancy with a lovely easthetic, rather formal. We were greeted warmly at the door. Service was incredibly slow, despite us and one other table being the only ones present. After a 25 minute wait for 2 dishes, the Thali platters came which had a variety of 'Indian' style dishes. The food was just fine, you get quite a lot for your money. However the food was rather bland for Indian food unfortunately, lacking spices, heat and seasoning. The waiter explained it was 'Anglo' Indian food, so adapted for the local customers, which was rather a shame. We also ordered two 'lattes' which were from a machine in restaurant - were very bad quality, hardly any coffee taste, just tasted of piping hot skimmed milk. Overall, glad we tried something new. It is good value for money, however we won't be returning, purely due to the slow service, over formal atmosphere and muted flavours of Indian dishes.

Excellent food. Slightly bizarre service and the soft drinks are very expensive - if you want a “large coke” they basically pour two tiny bottles into a pint glass and charge more than alcohol. The food though was on the money, which was just as well. Good portions and great depth of taste - just like a proper curry in India.

Excellent food and outstanding service

Went as a group for the evening. Ample space and the delicious food together with the friendly staff made the whole night very enjoyable. We had a mixture of Thai and Indian and finished off with the chef's special off the menu masala tea and Indian sweets.

I used to love this place but the last few times it has been expensive and average . Last week (sept 2022) I went with my friend. The food I ordered was a medium spiced dish ( as described by the waiter) - but when my starter - paneer tikka and my main chicken dish came the food was so so spicy 🌶 🌶 🌶 hot I couldn’t eat any of it. It was an endurance test for my tongue and taste buds. My friend asked for a spicy dish - and ate it - but said the next morning he felt like his stomach was on fire. I used to work In India and love Indian food - but it’s more about the taste and spices than ‘who can eat the hottest’ .
