Amazing chicken. We had the big double platter. Very good portion, cheap and the garlic sauce is amaziiing.

Ordered from the Hench app, very simple order. Rice box with chips and drink. I live around 5-7 mins drive from HENCH and on a Monday night it has taken an hour and 20 mins for my food to be delivered. Called them 2/3 times during this and was given inaccurate timings as to when my food would come. When the food finally come there was no apology and the food was lukewarm at best. Called them again to tell them my food arrived cold and was told that new food would be sent within 5 minutes. Food then never arrived

I ordered the Peri Peri Special, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to my expectations. The chicken had a mild taste even though I ordered hot and, to my disappointment, still had muscle fascia attached, which made the texture unpleasant. For the price, which I found to be more than I would want to pay, I was expecting much better quality and quantity. While the seasoning was decent and the flavors were okay, the issues with the chicken really overshadowed the experience. Considering the price point and the overall experience, I didn’t feel like I got my money’s worth. If you’re after chicken and rice, I’d suggest going to Pepe’s instead. They offer better value for money and a more consistently enjoyable meal. Hench has potential, but based on this visit, it just didn’t hit the mark.

Really enjoyed this takeaway: Got a whole bbq peri grilled chicken with rice and a bbq chicken burger which was huge and came with an onion ring and bacon . Would recommend. Good prices also

Lovely food I had the veggie pitta and sweet potato fries and my husband and daughter had the bbq burger and fries really tasty food quick delivery and reasonably priced will be ordering again soon thank you

Order gets marked as delivered before the food arrives (20 minutes before it arrives). It's a shame as the food is good but the service is always late (three times now) and arrives 'just about warm' at best.

I am regular here, always okay. Last before order I asked for peri peri chips and they charge me for it gave a normal fries. Today I ordered a meal+platter+rice box. Again it supposed to have 2 peri fries but they send one peri and normal fries. Also missing 2 wings and 2 strips. When I call them to inform this they are arguing they check the camera and they put everything in the bag.

advised restaurant which number to call when delivery driver is outside but they failed to let the driver know. the driver went back to the restaurant and I told them the food will be cold which they assured me that they will give me new fries. everything came back cold and stale. this takeaway never seems to get the simplest of things right

This is the best chicken in hemel no argument. I absolutely love it and they nail all food items , My favourite is kila kofta . I will come again and again

Food has always been amazing here. Grilled chicken options are plenty and fried as well, but also the special burger and milkshakes are to die for the service matches the 5* Food.

Great milkshakes, chips are okay but soft when delivered (not much you can do about it), great vegetable burger/pita, friendly driver

Ordered from Hench a few times through Ubereats as they are quite close to my office and it always turns up within about 15-20 minutes so really great in that respect. Food is always hot, fresh tasting and pretty good value compared to some other local fast food chicken places. I tend to order the giant fillet burger which is pretty big to the point where most of it is hanging out of the bun which I have no problem with at all! They do a good selection of sides including popcorn chicken, onion rings, spicy rice etc. Aside from your typical fried chicken, the peri peri range is a really good. Much better value for money and in my opinion but better tasting than that big popular peri chicken chain of restaurants. I have ordered the spicy mix box in the past but found it was drowning in spicy sauce which some people will probably like but was a bit over bearing for me! Not visited the actual restaurant in person so can’t comment on anything in that respect but the order is usually correct - only thing that can sometimes happen is you order one particular drink and receive something else, for example we quite often order Diet Coke and receive Pepsi max or Diet Pepsi which I’m not a fan of but probably one of the downsides of ordering through Uber as these changes if something is out of stock is hard to communicate without calling. Minor issue.

The food is always excellent the taste of the peri peri is consistent, which I think is the hardest thing to do in a food bussiness. A lot places have trouble keeping the taste consistent. The service is always 5star. I genuinely think the bad reviews are fake. I have been eating here every couple of weeks for the last year.

Generally deliver food on time but this time nearly 30 minutes late. This resulted food not being piping hot. Hope its a one off.

I ordered on just eat about 40 minutes before they shut but was still able to put an order through, and they cancelled the order for no reason at all don't keep your system on for orders if your gunna cancel it I used to use this place all the time and thought why not but no they cancelled.

When I order a whole chicken I’m expecting to get a mixture of chicken not only breast, I had to waste half of it in the bin, you can’t expect to eat only breast.

Delivery driver turned up with no change, not good when i chose to pay in cash. If they try that trick again i wont pay. other than that food was really nice

We regularly order from Hench and enjoy their food and their friendly service. Their food is healthy and tastes outstanding. I'd recommend their grilled chicken and spicy rice. They delivered salad to us today which was an added extra along with their sauces, makes it a perfect meal and end to a busy working week. Thank you for your continued excellent service.

I ordered grilled chicken last night and it tasted absolutely AMAZING. I’ve eaten from here a good couple of times, but the chicken has NEVER tasted this good before! Only problem is they gave me chips instead of rice even though I asked to change it (sounded like a little boy on the phone).

Really love the food, and the service is really good. I just wish that when ordering online, you could order extra garlic dip. Always ask for it, but never get it. Make it an option, hench do it I dare you 😪🤣🤣

Food was tasty as always, but this time the delivery was quite late.

It was my first time getting some takeaway from this place and I have to say their hygiene level isn’t great! As I was waiting for my food, I saw what was going on in the back, now this is what I saw, a guy was using the top of the plastic tub as a chopping board to cut the pitta bread in the middle, how disgusting! Who knows what was on top of the tub! On top of that, this guy was wearing a Brims black hoodie with a beard had no apron on, he was cooking the peri peri chicken, had no gloves on, kept putting his hands inside his pockets and then back to the chicken, I saw him holding the chicken with his fingers and putting it on the worktop! Now after seeing all of that, it really put me off even ordering from here! After receiving my food, the chicken fillet burger was way too salty and the oil from the chips wasn’t even drained properly, felt like I was eating a spoonful of oil! Disappointed with the food and disgusted by their hygiene, unfortunately, I don’t think I will be visiting again!

In search of food in Hemel, I came across Hench on Lawn Lane. Place had a fresh new look (formerly peri original) so went in. Ordered standard 2 piece chicken & chips 🍟meal. The food came out hot, freshly made & very tasty. Top quality chilli sauce ( closest I’ve found to match Luton’s chilli sauce (still the best place for chilli sauce though 😁) ). Friendly staff, clean & quick service. Defo will pop in again soon 👍

Alhamdolillah for food but this really wasn't good. Milkshakes - superb. Sauces - good. Everything else was poor. 'saucy saucy' chicken pitta was awful. Donner pitta was inedible; really weird extra thick cut Donner that didn't seem to be very good quality. Fries were bland and cheesy fries came with congealed grated cheddar rather than cheese sauce. Coated chicken wings were soggy. I never normally throw away food but I'm really not sure I can stomach finishing the leftovers. It's a real shame because the menu and branding is on point. And I had very high expectations as I was under the impression that Brim next door (which is world class) has the same owner. But I won't be going back again (unless for just a milkshake)

I made the mistake of ordering the food to my previous address and the driver Michael communicated with me to go back to the old address and get my food back! All within the estimated delivery time. Stellar service and the food was still warm and well made. Will definitely order from her regularly!

One of the best kofta kebabs I've ever had. Check out HENCHs Red Indian Burger too, & their Southern Fried Chicken tenders. Wow.

Food had mayonnaise inside which wasn’t written on the product when I ordered it

Ordered through Uber eats, food never arrived, didn’t answer phone to me or Uber to update on progress. Uber ended up cancelling the order for me. Avoid.

I order from here all the time, I really like their flavours. However, the worst part is they don't care. I use this place often when I'm at work, but honestly, it's hardly ever all fresh. The amount of times I've got stale chicken from here is crazy, I don't know how they're willing to send it out. I had tenders so hard that it was comical, we laughed that a TENDER could be so not tender. When the food is cooked fresh, it is good. But the consistency is a bit shameful. I don't think they're bothered to be honest.
