To the woman who works there who just said. "Hes stealing" as I walked out eithout making a purchase. Do not worry we will not be back. I couldn't find what I wanted, but you made me feel awful Rude customer service. Completely uncalled for. Disgraceful behaviour

I very rarely leave negative reviews, and I’m all for supporting local businesses, but… The farm shop is in a nice location, & offers a wide variety of products. I bought a few things, and the milk & eggs are really good quality so no complaints there, but I also bought some locally caught venison which I was looking forward to cooking today (24/5/2024). The use by date is the 28/5/24 yet when I opened the package it was clearly way past its best, despite going straight into my fridge, 5 mins after leaving the shop. The smell was indescribably bad & I’m having to burn incense to try & free the kitchen from it. I feel physically sick & will probably never be able to go anywhere near venison again, despite it always being my favourite meat! We now have nothing for our Sunday dinner and, to be honest, probably won’t have an appetite any time soon. Extremely poor experience which has cost the farm shop a future loyal customer.

A great source of locally produced food and drink among other lots of other 'country' products like animal feeds or logs with the added bonus of a lovely tearoom.

Came here on mother's day, my mum and sister really enjoyed the croque madame. I had the hummus and falafel sandwich, it was tasty but the bread had a lot of holes which made it messy to eat. I didn't order at the counter but all the people that came to our table were really friendly. Unfortunately I felt very uncomfortable when the music was switched on/up, there had been quite a bit of noise before but that became too much. I'm autistic so I found it very overwhelming. There's something's you can't help e.g. coffee machines, people talking etc. but it could have been more sensory friendly. We went to the farm shop afterwards, they were friendly and let us take some veg that would have been thrown away for my guinea pigs.

Three of us had lunch . We each had a different meal and found the food delicious. I was particularly impressed by the lady who prepared a special meal for meal altering three ingredients on a croque for me, as I'd requested because I need a special diet. She made every effort to get it suitable for me.

Went fist time and it was very bad. The food was very good but the customer service was ver very bad. Probably won’t come again. We don’t say anything wrong and one staff member was very rude to my mother. Didn’t like we said are order was wrong my food and she gave it to someone else and she made out we was lying

I found it a bit expensive, which I got,local produce, ect, but didn't find the products anymore tasty, so I was a bit disappointed but I probably will try again

Perfect stop off on a Sunday afternoon, nice walk around the countryside, then pop in the shop for some great quality local food. The new cafe opposite the shop serves real homemade cakes and pastries, with plenty of hot drinks available. Highly recommend a visit.

Called in after a walk up the canal - had to wait for a table as it was full - Ordered at the till paid - I had shepherds pie - and wife had jacket tater - service was quick - waitress pleasant food was much better than expected - pie was great - - I’d rather have a mug or tea rather than a pot cup saucer milk jug - - overall very good indeed - and going again tomorrow so please don’t go so we can get a table !!

Has always been a great place for a Coffee and Cake. As of March 2022 the café is now is a newly built Barn style building. Seats outside and if you arrive by bike, cycle racks are around the back adjacent to the outside seating. Farm shop has plenty of fresh foods and I can recommend the "Little Doone Balsamic Dressings".

I love this place. Their shovel-into-the-bag frozen veg,scampi,etc., is particularly good. An excellent selection of fresh veg, cheese, etc, as well. And their cafe is excellent.

Good local farm shop with loads of great produce!

Out of the way in a relaxed country setting. The cafe has big windows overlooking farm field. A short walk away theres a reservoir which doubles as a nature reserve. The cafe menu is unexciting and the cooking is average. It's the pleasant setting that makes it. The farm shop is underwhelming and it lacks a buzz. Ive seen much better in several places along the North Norfolk coast. Dimly lit and not laid out attractively or logically. Produce largely unremarkable. Needs an interior retail designer to take a fresh look and invest in the place.

Farm shop is great. Cafe not so much. Charging £12.50 for a prawn and crab salad that is actually shrimp and seafood sticks mashed up in mayo....disgusting 🤢. No refund offered when complained. Waiting staff rude and grumpy.

Overall disappointing. Not at all busy at time of visit but delivery of food was very slow. Selected the croque madam which came completely overcooked, the cheese over the top was done to a crisp/ almost burnt and impossible to cut - a simple dish ruined. Coffee on the other hand was good. If I return it will be only for coffee and cake

Visited a couple of farm shops on a Saturday morning as it's just what middle aged couple like to do. The farm shop is large with loads of great produce to see and purchase. The cafe is really good. Great service from smiling young people, lovely coffee and cake. Also Puddingstone Gin Distillery on site. They are having their Christmas Food Fair on 10 Nov so we are planning to return. Recommend it as a great place to buy Christmas gifts. Looking forward to returning.

Awful. Overpriced. I had a jacket potato that was just so starchy and chucked in a microwave. The quality for the price is abysmal.

Very busy on a rainy Sunday. An hour's wait for hot food so had a warm sausage roll, excellent.

Best Cheese and ham Toasty ever. It took some eating. With crisps & small salad. Fantastic. Reasonably priced.

Excellent fire logs delivered today. Good sizes and most of all, dry and ready to burn!

Nice setting but the food was well overpriced. We ordered 3 sandwiches and 3 drinks and it came to £35. The sandwiches all come as a mix so chicken and bacon was in a thick yellow mayonnaise. Very hard to eat as the sour dough gets all soggy and falls apart. Was expecting a lot more.

Lovely new barn. Outside seating area is nice. Dogs allowed inside and out. Free dog treats. The service has not improved. Considering it was not busy we had finished our drinks by the time our simple cheese toastie arrived. They were nothing special, but cost a small fortune, served with stale crisps and a very sad slimy salad. Music was too loud. Since moving out of the other barn, choice and quality of food has deteriorated. Service has always been poor. For the amount of money this lunch cost, it's time to go elsewhere. Farm shop is nice, extensive selection, but very expensive. A Cauliflower was £2.70, when you can get one in Tesco for 90 pence!

From what I saw from my brief visit, it was great. I will go back for a proper look around as I popped in after a day out at the history museum in Tring. Me and my mate bought some bits for a Sunday roast and had the chicken breast and it was AMAZING! Juicy, tender and full of flavour, much better than the water pumped store bought stuff 😋

The classic farm shop; we visited for the first time and were very surprised at how big it was! There’s everything you’d expect and want from a farm shop including local produce, as well as fresh meat & dairy and fruit & vegetables. Very lovely cafe as well with a wide selection of lunches and nice coffee. Already planning to visit again closer to Christmas to get some Christmas gifts for friends & family.

This lovely farmshop is full of festive fayre and a great coffee in the coffee shop when your done. Certainly worth a visit. 21-09-23 service issues this morning. I was second in the queue. When it was my turn the person serving decided to ignore me and go and chat to one of her friends who was having a coffee, I waited ages, there was someone else preparing food who eventually decided I needed serving. She took my order and then left the premises after I had paid. Ten minutes later I gave up and asked a third person could I please have the coffee I had paid for. Success but what awful experience.

Nice shop, with a lot of local produce and bulk foods, as well as many types of bottled drinks and confections. Very clean and organised. I got a fairly unfriendly vibe from the employees, though. I smiled and said "hi" to a woman "working" there and just got glared at. The man at the till gave the impression of friendliness, but was a bit impatient, although there was only one other customer in the store. I'm hoping it wasn't because I was wearing an enameled LGBTQIA+ flag pin on my braces; that would be disappointing.

Great place to buy local produce as well as small run & specialist food products. Has a small greengrocer with notes of where provide is sourced if not local as well as fresh bread & meat products. a good variety of semi-fresh frozen ingredients & pre-made foods. Good for organic, vegan & gluten free versions of products. Decent pet food section. Small garden centre area mainly stocking perennials & ‘cottage garden’ plants beneficial to pollinators. Sells ice creams & interesting soft drinks for those hot days or to take on walks around Wilstone Reservoir next door. Stocks firewood, animal feeds & composts. Farmhouse Kitchen restaurant & cafe, & the local gin distillery are within the grounds too. Some hard standing parking right outside with additional grass parking available.

It was an absolute treat to find this place...as soon as you walk in you find it bright, spacious, cosy and minimalist. Staff were lovely, polite and very helpful with the menu. The portions were a nice size. Price reasonable. Great for kids! Would definitely be visiting this place again! Keep up the good work guys!

Lovely cafe and great selection of local produce in the shop. Well worth a visit. Also enjoyed walk around the nearby reservoir.

Recently went here for breakfast with my family, including 2 and 3 year old granddaughters. Service was excellent and the breakfast was plentiful and cooked just how I like it. We all agreed it was a fantastic family meal. An added bonus was the easy access to the restaurant for my wheelchair, something not always the case at farm shops and cafés. Will be going back soon!

Love this place for fresh groceries and meat. Quality excellent and usually good choice but you need to go late in week as many things sell out over the weekend. Avoid the Farm Kitchen cafe unless it's just a coffee and you're not in a hurry! Service slow and prices way too high.

Ride, dismissive cafe staff. Looks like a really nice place but ruined by surly, unhelpful attitude of lady on the till. Such a shame. Didn't finish order and quickly left.

The Farm shop really looks amazing. It has a nice homey feel to it, but the best part of all are the produce. We've been looking for a place where we can find good "local" and seasonal produce or from closely in the area and surely delivered. Everything we bought (bread and veggies) stayed extremely fresh and was of amazing quality.

Amazing selection of goods, good food at the restaurant, and free parking!

We visited the cafe today and were told whilst queuing at the counter that it would be a 15 minute wait for hot drinks and a 45 minute wait for hot food. We decided to go ahead and order, based on these timescales. Unfortunately we waited 35 minutes for 2 pots of tea and this was only after we’d asked one of the staff again, who’d delivered drinks already to people who’d ordered way after we had. The food (2x bacon rolls) hadn’t arrived nearly an hour after we ordered and so we asked for a refund. We were given a couple of very delicious sausage rolls by way of an apology, which was appreciated as we had a long journey ahead of us. I really felt for the poor guy on the till who was having to dish out refunds left right and centre. It was certainly busy there this morning, with the added foot traffic that Fathers Day inevitably created but the staff seemed way out of their depth and almost like they weren’t expecting to be running a busy service. A real shame as this was our first and probably now only experience of the cafe.

Often drop in for a coffee or a light bite. Food is good and the place is nice too. The farm shop is excellent and has a great range of goods.

Always a food choice of meat from local farmers

Had superb Afternoon Tea here following a Trike ride with Chiltern Trike Tours. Food was very tasty and so plentiful we had to take some home for later. Staff very friendly and attentive. The shop is very well stocked with some lovely items.

Since refurbishing and reopening I've been on a number of occasions and it's always been good coffee and particularly excellent sausage rolls. Also a nice outdoor seating area which is dog friendly!

Fantastic farm shop cafe, friendly staff, excellent coffee and cakes and good sized sandwiches. Inside and outside seating available. Pleasant location for a quick lunch stop while out riding the bike.

I visited the cafe here at the shop and had a wonderful breakfast. I was part of a group of bikers. The staff welcomed us and handled the orders very well and were extrmely friendly throughout. The food was awesome, we will be visiting again soon
