Really seems to have gone down hill. Prioritise deliveries over people in the restaurant. 50 minute wait for a croffle and some ice cream. Incorrect orders brought to table and could hear other tables complaining about wrong orders. Food still good but not as good as it was. No effort put into presentation either. Have been many times but is probably are last.

We recently visited here for breakfast, unfortunately had to give a average review, the staff were so friendly and the cafe was clean , but we ordered eggs Benedict , the yolks were overcooked, upon cutting into them there was no run but just firm yolk , and I ordered a full English again the eggs were overcooked and rubbery, the rest of the breakfast was enjoyable

The contrast between the time I came under previous management is night and day! I cannot speak highly enough of the new management. The pub is warm, welcoming, friendly, clean and a pleasure to visit. It is the polar opposite of what was here before. I used to avoid this pub now it’s the go to place in Colchester. Colchester needs a pub like the Goat and the Boot! If you can visit, you will not be disappointed! Well done to the couple managing they are superstars!

I ordered a cornish pasty and a sausage cheese and ketchup pastry, both cold and like a bit of rubber. My wife ordered panini, a coffee and a brownie for my 6 year old. The lady who served us couldn't have been nicer, but whilst cutting it up for him to start eating at the stand at the side of the shop (bearing in mind my wife needed to put her coffee down to cut it) another very rude member of staff with curly hair told us in a very abrupt manner to take our food outside and eat it. It wasn't exactly what she said, but the way we were spoken to in such a rude way and tone...we were disgusted. It wasn't even busy, so we weren't blocking any doors etc. After the shock wore off, my wife went back in to try to explain our suprise at being spoken to as a customer in that way. The rude member of staff just denied it and said she didn't think she was rude. Let me tell you, after working all my working life with the public, I wouldn't dream of speaking to people this way. I think someone needs some customer service training, (maybe from the first lady who served us) We proceeded outside and binned the lot. Won't be going back.

Food took over an hour to come .I accidently put my address as delivery .when I wanted it at my sister's .I called up and changed it . Food was still sent my address then an address that sounded the same as my sister's then finally my sister's . No surprises rrally if it's cold as still not here

Excellent service from the hosts in the restaurant. Quick service and very friendly too. Food was great too and good value. Our host was, Tunay and she was ever so helpful. If we needed anything Tunay was always ready to answer any questions regarding the vegan and milk intolerance items on the menu. Thanks for a lovely afternoon

I have never felt like such a Karen but my god this is the rudest store ever. Dunno what happened on the app or if it was me, but placed the order, noticed it had duplicated something so I called the store right away and tried explaining what had happened to ask if it’s possible to change the one pizza. The supervisor (who wouldn’t tell me his name, claiming he “can’t” give me his name due to GDPR which is not how GDPR works) kept asking “sorry what?” When he finally understood he cut me off and put me on hold and came back to say they’d been prepped and were ready for cooking (this is now around 3 minutes after the order) I explained that I did call right away and could we try and fix the issue, he just kept talking over me and saying no I won’t do that. I was going to ask okay, can you just remove some of the toppings but he just hung up on me which was just really rude and made me really uncomfortable. My partner called back to ask if there was a way to fix this and did tell him he wasn’t happy that they’d been rude to me, they just kept saying, “nope it’s already dispatched, it left the store. I won’t change it.” THEN I check the tracker and it’s been marked as delivered and it hadn’t arrived at all and in fact didn’t for another 7 minutes. I don’t care that they couldn’t cancel the order which I would’ve understood but they were so horrible the whole time and I wouldn’t have been so grumpy if they’d just been a little nicer and not kept talking over me and hung up.

Staff lovely! Muffins I’ve tried on several occasions pretty bland was very disappointed . Considering the name of the shop you would think that muffins would be special!

It’s good. Like as a college student it’s just outside the college. However, this might be petty but I’m always missing something from my order whether it be a sauce in my food or just some simple whipped cream in my hot chocolate or the syrup actually being in my hot chocolate either don’t know how they don’t understand to take customers orders properly it really confuses me.
