Burger King in Colchester

I spent £9.59 for a medium meal. I paid an extra £1 for the tango blast drink. Unfortunately when it came the drink was tiny, I thought it was a children's size drink by accident, but the staff confirmed that was the correct size. It used to be double that. It felt like a rip off. Unfortunately I also witnessed a woman wiping her baby's *** with wipes in the restarant and leaving the soiled wipes on the table as she ate which disgusted me so much I had to leave. Why did she not go to the toilets to do this? I know it's not Burger King's fault (unless there isn't a baby changing room) but it was grim. By the time I ate my food it was stone cold.

It is a delightful spot for a meal. 👍🏻 I opted for the plant-based Whopper, and I must say, the size of the burger was impressively generous. Not only that, but it was also incredibly tasty.

I come here quite often, mostly for takeout. The staff are always friendly and helpful, the food is always of good quality and there is always enough seating. The facilities like toilets have always been available and clean when I have needed to use them.

If you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say it at all. Very nice food lovely atmosphere. Staff are very down to earth and friendly. 10 times faster than McDonald’s

Witnesses staff eating fry’s from the fry dump and serving them, have recorded staff swearing at delivery drivers and being extremely rude. My recordings are being edited together atm and will upload to YouTube to see soon. It’s a shame as since the refurb the staff just don’t want to interact and tell everyone to use the order kiosks.

Awful experience. Rude customer service today at lunchtime from a black haired girl. Asked for manager was told they are not allowed to give out that details. Will be returning to another branch to ask for details of head office complaint.

Im a delivery drivere and when ever I go for an order I always wait 30 min at least to receive one order and when you try to explain yourself they tell you to cancel the order in a arrogant way. Hate this place

Absolutely disgusting with the service I received today waited nearly 20 minutes even though the store was pretty much empty they missed something on our order so my husband when back to ask for it for the 2 women working to be snotty saying oh well and I hate Mondays maybe if you hate Mondays so much go on reed to love them again definitely won't be back there in a hurry just lucky it was him that went up because if I had I would have straight up asked for a refund and walked off to McDonald's

I was disappointed with Burger King. They don't have open Wi-Fi for customers, and they promote the use of their app to scan the code and place orders. However, the network of all companies is weak. When I tried to ask the staff if there was any open Wi-Fi, they said no. I placed an order for 20 pieces of tangy Dorito's chicken strips through the self-checkout process, but when I received the order, I found that it was partially cooked and the flavour was not sprinkled properly on it. When I went to the staff to show her the box and explain the issue, she responded in a very inappropriate way by saying "I don't think so". This overall experience was the worst, and this kind of behaviour has happened to me not just once, but twice. That's why I have decided to leave this review for the store.

Ordered the Peppercorn Angus burger & the Peppercorn crispy chicken burger on Just eat, The food arrived on time and was hot my only criticism is you can’t order milkshakes only bottled drinks & on the menu no dips were available as I like the sweet chilli sauce too with the chicken, The burgers were very tasty, Will I order again Yes. 👌

Ordered family party and burger king failed to deliver one of the adult burgers meaning 3 of us had dinner and one didn't. Tried calling to get a replacement sent out, but the number is not in use. Helpful!

I waited 10 minutes to be served because the staff were more concerned with Uber eats orders. I ordered a meal deal but despite the coffee machine being broken I was still charged for a full meal even though I didn’t have one. When I brought this up as an issue (because I was being charged for products I didn’t have) the manager, who was late 30’s with a receding hairline told me to leave and go to McDonald’s instead. Very unprofessional when all that was required was lowering the price of the meal deal, or offering another drink. Disgusted with the service, especially as the manager came over and acted like someone on a trial shift. He should be very embarrassed and should have retraining on how he speaks to people in a professional manner in future.

I ordered and paid for a double Memphis Bbq king burger and I received a Memphis BBQ king without the other patty, I only noticed this when I had arrived home and could not come back as it was already 8pm. Really disappointed that someone could miss such a thing especially since I paid.

The most depressing burger going. Firstly we ordered a very tasty looking doritis mega meal box. What came out was neither mega or a meal. The Burger was two beef patties the size of a McDonalds happy meal with a slopped dollop of bar b que sauce between two buns. The doritis fries were cold and almost tasteless. I mean I don't for one minute expect Michelin star quality but I do expect substance. I would have complained, but sadly on the night the staff were more interested in only having 3 at closing than customer service.

Really good, best food ever I love the burgers the fries and the onion rings they are really good and I recommend people going there and ever Burger King you see they are very nice and pretty quick at making your food.

I have ordered 3 times from this restaurant recently and all 3 times have not been great. Clearly a reason to do with the restaurant and not the delivery apps/drivers unless I’ve been extremely unlucky! First time - arrived late and stone cold 2nd time - items missing (which got refunded by the delivery app however this isn’t the point) I then tried to call the restaurant and the numbers on the BK official website is wrong and disconnected so no way to contact. 3rd time - late and cold again. I love the menu items as I’m vegetarian but the service is just diabolical. Annoyingly there isn’t an alternative BK in Colchester apart from this one.

Would give it 0 stars to be honest , absolute sh*t hole .. there was poo all up the walls, the manager Chloe was racist to me and called me the N word !!! I don’t know how she hasn’t been fired yet ! Absolute disgusting place - DO NOT EAT HERE we found pubic hair in our food and the burgers stank like fish - can only imagine what the kitchen may look like ! I’m fuming

Lovely and hard working staff, clean restaurant and toilets. Made me feel very welcome from the minute we entered unlike McDonald’s or other fast food places. Food was hot looked good and tasted even better. Definitely recommend for a meal. The staff even said happy birthday to me as I had a birthday badge on 🥰 I don’t understand why this place have such bad reviews this was the best fast food experience we have ever had

Welcome to the dirtiest BK I’ve ever been in. You seriously need a deep clean. I’m very surprised you haven’t had a visit from environmental health and been shut down. I hope this critique will help you. Come on guys, BK as a whole is a fantastic food chain. Get the brooms, mops and cloths out asap.

The food was fresh as I was fairly early but the lady serving me sort of grunted and was not what I would say customer focused but its a fast food chain but food was fine

What a terrible customer service here I went In to order food waited 10 minutes to be served it was complete dead it was only me and 1 other customer in there when I got to the counter and order my food I wait 20 minutes for it. there where 6 staff members in there what a joke

Food is OK, staff are lovely, but the restaurant is absolutely terrible. No disabled toilets whatsoever, baby changing facilities in the ladies loo only (I change my daughter's nappies as wife can't get up the steep stairs) bloke's loo never has enough soap. There's room under the stairs for a disabled toilet but they're not putting one in. Rarely enough staff to clear the tables when it's busy. I wish I could uproot the staff to another BK nearby but there isn't one, sadly. Would be 1 star if it wasn't for the lovely staff.

2 hours for 2 burgers, utterly pathetic

Pricing wouldnt match up to what shows on till and they wouldnt honour the price when i asked about it as on both app and in store had same issues with cart price vs offer price or like in store the stuff on the menu wasnt showing right ammount for all items. In the end manager was rude and i left for kfc after she refused to honor the price everyone could see vs staff on till.

States open online yet all staff are hiding out the back eating. No note on the door and they couldn’t even be bothered to come and explain to the 5+ customers outside why they were hiding instead of opening the restaurant which it states it’s open online. They then stood at the counter basically trying to hand signal us away.

If its fast food you're after try a diferent store. Waited 30 mins for a couple of burgers. And it wasn't even busy. They seem to be preparing the delivery food ahead of the in shop. Poor.

Ordered to Deliveroo. And Danut delivered to us. She seemed nice enough but the food was stone cold. We had to microwave it for it to be edible. Couldn’t eat the whole thing. The moment was lost. Thanks Burger King for reminding me why I awaited 8 years from my last visit.

Ordered online through Just-eat. Took ages despite having ordered an hour in advance. No website updates for ages, restaurant didn't answer the phone, so could get no updates through them. Food arrived stone cold so must have been ready for the time requested. When the driver did arrive at the chosen adress with the food he was rude about having to wait a moment for us having to come to the door despite us having to wait an hour for out order! Absolutely disgusting and disgraceful.

Weekday lunchtime. Two staff at counter. Big queue. 27 mins between ordering and collecting food. 4 People who ordered after me got their food before me (I ordered 4 standard items with no special requirements). Upon giving me my late food, girl was rude. Got back to work to eat it…it was cold and there were about 4 chips in the bag. Absolutely awful considering they’re more expensive than competitors. Maybe they should invest some of last years £33m profit in staff and then teaching them to be polite

Ordered delivery on Just-Eat. 2 whopper meals and extra fries. As part of one of the whopper meals, onion rings was chosen as the side. Said onion rings were missing. However, you can't complain to the restaurant because apparently it's an issue to raise with just eat, even though it's the fault of who ever didn't pack the onion rings in the delivery bags Thankfully, just eat we're very quick in issuing a refund for the missing onion rings

I used to work for this particular Burger King more than 25 years ago. Back then this was a friendly place where the service was fast. Ordered a bacon double cheeseburger and coffee. Waited more than 20 minutes for a simple order. The restaurant wasn't busy either. My expectations were thoroughly destroyed by this one visit. I've always enjoyed Burger King. Would have been cheaper and quicker going to Wagamama's over the road.

The staff here was rude , when we finally got our food it’s was boiling hot and my friend burnt her mouth on the food. I asked for a crispy chicken and there was no sauce no lettuce no nothing leaving it dry and bland I also asked for two regular fries and they charged me for two large ones.

Long cues meant a long wait, made worse by deliveroo riders taking up one till, there are only 2!! Food very average, no wonder there disappearing from the high street. Toilet was disgusting, hand washer useless. I will not be returning
