I know your app can’t give presise time but to say it’s been delivered and I haven’t even received my food is not right

The order was a half hour late and the warmest part of the pizza meal was the salad.

1 star for posting their junk mail flyers through letterboxes at almost 10pm at night.

30/06/24 update, made the big mistake of ordering from here again, Chicken shish and lamb doner combo, no lamb doner, just 5/6 pieces of rubbish chicken swimming in sauce. Was told it was human error and accidents happen … yes but this is the second time this has happened now and I am paying for it. Fries were $*#t as well. If anyone sees me near this place again, shoot me … see below … Every time I leave a negative review on their site someone gives a 5* good one, this has to be a lucky person or with low standards or the owner or friend Mixed chicken shish and doner on Halloween 31st October and a horror of burnt doner meat, hard dry tasteless chicken and over salted chips. March’24 and tried again ordering chicken shish with doner and chips, the “chips” were like empty hollow bags of crisps or too hard to eat. Can’t say what the kebab was like because they emptied a whole jar of mayonnaise on it and so could not taste any chilli sauce so no point putting it on really, the chicken was again hard and dry, so much mayonnaise on it that the container went so soft i had to be careful picking it up or it would split open and all fall out on the floor. Absolutely disgusting but glad to of found a much better place and cheaper too, look around because these really don’t care at all Are the good reviews from staff, friends and family ? Take the money and run !!!

Absolutely gutted! This used to be the best kebab place in town. Was 1 hour and 40 mins late and when it come it was cold. No salad. No bread! Fatty meat! Absolutely gutted ! Won’t be ordering again

Just had a superb takeaway, delivered on time piping hot, very good food.

over hrs to recieve delivery, orderd at 6:30, arrived after 9 pm! The quality of food was shocking! burger bun rock solid. must of been stale then slightly toasted to cover it up. chicken inside it was so over cooked i couldnt eat it.. it was practically disintergrated inside the burnt batter!! i wouldnt feed this to a dog! so terribly dissapointed.

Over an hour late, then got given the wrong food, took another hour to get the correct food, which resulted in me staying up till a ridiculous hour for the correct food to arrive, not good service!!!!

Absolute joke, ordered a small kebab and they have literally served me a mini pitta bread are you joking me, then they threw 4 chunks of chicken on with really wet onion and red cabbage and that was £9 then got a portion or chips with couple sauces for £18 what an absolute rip off. Avoid this place, many better ones in town for better value

Was 35 minutes late chicken was like a rock so hard burger was ok chips warmish when called asked where food was as it just eat said my food was delivered 35 mins before it arrived the man said the driver hadn’t started work no call to explain situation won’t be ordering again

Always get delivered but because they are terrible for delivering we collected. Missing items still. Never had a perfect order from here.

Food was awful. Ordered a chicken shish, got about three pieces of tough chicken in a stale pitta bread. It was also delivered an hour after their delivery time, which was two hours after I had made the order. So if you want to wait two hours for a stale pitta and a kids portion of chicken, go ahead and make an order.

Extremely unhappy food took well over an hour to arrive it arrived cold and I received the wrong items I asked for a refund and they very rudely told me they would give me 1.20 of the money back

Fresh Salad and freshly cooked!

Good was 2 hours late and was cold. Chips were missing and hardly any salad looked like it had been chucked in the bag. We will not be ordering from here any more, the service has gone down hill dramatically

Usually everything’s great. Tonight the food was an hour late without anyone telling us there was a delay. No chips - got salad instead. All boxes in the bag were crushed. Not the best meal tonight unfortunately.

Awful service from start to finish, driver was late, had entered the wrong post code and then had to correct him after a ten minute phone call.. then had to stand outside and wave him down the road, order came under portioned would be a compliment to what we received, contacted the shop and they admitted that they had a new member of staff who obviously didn’t know the portion sizes … (it was they said it’s not worth them delivering us a new lot of food as it would cost them too much in petrol.

If I could give 0 stars then I would. The food took well over an hour to arrive and arrived luke warm. I ordered Large and received pittance. When I called to complain and ask for a proper portion to be sent was told that it would not be cost affective to them and that I would have to drive to them to get a replacement order. They are happy to take your money but they are not happy to give you a fair portion or rectify it after admitting that it was their mistake, would not use again and would advise anyone reading to stay clear.

Was bang on time and the food was out of this world good. Had a mixed kebab and everything was cooked perfectly. VERY generous amounts. The wrap was massive and weighed so much 😮👌. Will definitely be back. One of the best kebabs I've had in a long time! So much meat! Thanks guys

I take lamb doner last sunday. I was very happy. They do probably doner. I t hink İstanbul Delight Kebab and pizza shop number one in Colchester.

I ordered tonight got it faster than I thought and meat cooked was cooked to perfection I will be definitely ordering from Istanbul delight again

The first time in five years the food was delivered early and its always been late before and we actually did not hear the delivery person knock initially but he phoned my mobile and we came to door straight away after the call.Thank you

so order was put through at 18.00 estimated delivery was at 18.50 to 19.10. At 19.15 I phone Shop and they tell me that they was waiting on a driver as one didn't turn up for work. I phoned back at 19.30 and tell me it's on way, the app tells me that's its been delivered. Shop staff then tells me not to worry app is rubbish. meal now with me at 19.49

Ordered a double chicken burger to only get lettuce and mayonnaise in it not chicken!

Had to phone as order had said it was delivered when it was clearly not. Was then told it’s only just left the kitchen and the reason for this was traffic? It arrived 45 mins after original delivery time. Not great as I was waiting to eat before leaving for a night shift.

Order was missing a portion of chips and cheese out of the burger. Such a shame as let down by this, when the food was actually yummy.

Sadly the chips were missing from the order, the sauces were wrong, I asked for garlic and got something else. Also a lot less meat than usually provided having ordered this before.

Never update delivery in app and food tasted like it was cooked yesterday and reheated over and over,

my order wasnt even printed out had to wait ober an hour and a half for my food as i say they reckon my just eat order didnt print out so they hadnt done it it was inly because i phoned up from the app to see what was going on they said they hadnt recived it or the machine hadnt oronted it out when was already 20mins aftr the allocat d delivery time them had to wait ana extra 25 mins to actualy recive my food so was about an hour and a half to two hour

Terrible service waited for over 2.5 hours and still no food. How long does it take to cook a kebab?! Won't order again

the flavour was good, but way overpriced, everything was falling apart and the paper they wrap the kebab in started to drop metal flakes everywhere, avoid at all cost

I accidentally dropped some sauce on the door mat. i asked one of the guys if i could have some napkins to clear up the mess after they asked me to, they said no napkins “take your top off and clean it” TWICE. absolutely disgusting behaviour. this used to be my favourite place to get food, my opinion has changed. if you’re a woman (or a man) i do not recommend going here unless you want to be spoken to like this. DO NOT GO.

Normally enjoy the food but had to microwave the lot this time round was really disappointing.

The cheesecakes were completely upside down when they reached us and extremely frozen. Due to this I had pain in my gums while eating the cheesecake. The chicken and chips were cold and some of the chips had come out of the box .

Food was great as always food was fresh the only places I order from doner meat is always fresh I’ve also ordered a lot of other stuff on the menus like pizza and chicken and it has always been amazing quality definitely my go to place!!!😎

Used this restaurant twice now and the food is always late and turns up cold which means have to warm it up and means the food then tastes bad.

Absolutely disgraceful service, ordered a large order for multiple people at a party used this restaurant as we use them regularly and we never received part of the order, due to the size of the order over £80 worth we could excuse the mistake however when we rang the restaurant I was hung up on twice by the so called chef. He demanded that he sent the order and it was correct however I was standing in front of the one item that was sent extra and have a receipt of the item missing. 2 hours later when I finally give up and ask for a refund the chef says no-one there to sort and hung up again. Disgraceful service will not order again from the restaurant 😒

Cold food and no chips they had to be delivered again waste of a meal only having half an order.

I don’t normally leave reviews but the food was delicious and even better than what we expected! I recommend the chicken sheish and Donna meat combined kebab with salad and chilli sauce

It took 1hr 40 mins in total from receiving the order confirmation on Just Eat to taking delivery of the food. One kebab was covered in the garlic mayo, rather than chilli sauce as per the order. The person it was ordered for could not eat this as a result, so the whole kebab to be binned and the two portions of chips and portion of onion bhajis were stone cold and chewy on arrival, meaning we spent £23.24 on a completely inedible meal.

Not good enough it’s to dry never order again

Istanbul delight we’re happy to take money for my order through Just Eat, they relayed that the order would be delivered through Just Eat, they did not deliver and were highly unpleasant down the phone. Now nowhere is open and I have to wait for money to be sent back to me. Wouldn’t listen when I tried to tell them order number and hung up on me. I rarely give a bad review but dudes you earned it.

Very disappointed,placed original order round 6pm ,expected delivery 7pm- 7.20pm, but eventually arrived at 8pm.

Item was cold and the driver was very angry because he didn’t know the area. I gave him the same postcode and he went to the opposite side of the city. I then met up with him and he was very against giving me my order and I told him that I would complain and then he gave it to me. This driver was not reasonable at all.

Placed a massive order which arrived cold and wrong so called them which they sent another replacement for the items that were wrong which also arrived cold and still One missing so I called them for the 3rd time to be called a liar and then say that they had sent the correct order out which was wrong! When I asked for a refund to go elsewhere I refused!! I have been ordering from them for over 20 years and do not expect to be treated with so much disrespect

Food arrived before the time given Kebab was lovely prob one of the best have had in a long time cheesy chips was okay but not the best sadly but think that was down to the food arriving lukewarm so made it so everything got very cold quickly & made the chips go hard & chewy if was not for that reckon would have been perfect.
