I ordered a cornish pasty and a sausage cheese and ketchup pastry, both cold and like a bit of rubber. My wife ordered panini, a coffee and a brownie for my 6 year old. The lady who served us couldn't have been nicer, but whilst cutting it up for him to start eating at the stand at the side of the shop (bearing in mind my wife needed to put her coffee down to cut it) another very rude member of staff with curly hair told us in a very abrupt manner to take our food outside and eat it. It wasn't exactly what she said, but the way we were spoken to in such a rude way and tone...we were disgusted. It wasn't even busy, so we weren't blocking any doors etc. After the shock wore off, my wife went back in to try to explain our suprise at being spoken to as a customer in that way. The rude member of staff just denied it and said she didn't think she was rude. Let me tell you, after working all my working life with the public, I wouldn't dream of speaking to people this way. I think someone needs some customer service training, (maybe from the first lady who served us) We proceeded outside and binned the lot. Won't be going back.

I popped into town this morning to do some Xmas shopping was feeling hungry so purchased a chicken pasty and 2 rhubarb slices £8.50 !!! Was really disappointed when I tried to eat pasty was cold 2 pieces of dried chicken and the potato and leek was no where to be seen was very dry and if there made fresh every day and was like that at 11ish then I pity the person who gets one later on in day total waste of money would Never go there again!!!!

Absolutely terrible place to eat. We ordered pasties and sausage rolls and all of it was stone COLD!!!! Tasted disgusting. Pasties had too much pepper and barely any meat in them. For £5.50 each, that a RIP OFF!!! Never going back!!!

Very bad experience. The two women present this Thursday afternoon are really very unpleasant and unfriendly. In addition, charging 2 pounds extra to reheat two disgusting sausage puffs in the microwave is simply theft or at least a scam because we are tourists who do not speak English fluently.

ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS 😡😡😡 The pasties are stone cold unless you come straight after they are cooked, the staff are not at all friendly. You have to pay extra to have them heated up, which is ridiculous because you would pay the same price without heating if it's already hot. So you pay extra to have REheated pasties. Completely pathetic! The lady at the counter waited until after my partner had already paid to hear me say "wait, I have a student discount" and all she had to say was "well it's gone though now." Never going back there again, and I would advise you don't ever go there in the first place.

Great place to go for a cold pasty! Seriously? And be treated like you’re an interruption into their day! I am sick of places like this selling cold food, and don’t ask for one from the window you won’t get it!

Rude. Went in to order 3 Cornish pasty’s, asked politely if I could have the one at the front in the window, was scoffed at and sharply told they are all the same accompanied with an eye roll and a strop. For over £6 a pasty, I’m sure it’s not bad to ask for what you want. Plus They weren’t the same, the ones in the window weren’t half as dark/burnt as the ones inside. Needless to say we took our business elsewhere to a friendlier establishment!

Won't use again. Tepid pasty with hard crust. Ended up binning most of it. Waste of money.

Clearly this place don’t know the rules of fist come first serve. Came in today, looking at the food being the first customer there, the ladies behind counter decided to serve the older ladies behind me although I was there first and ready to order - not to mention I was there for moments so not like I was taking the mick with being long- didn’t even ask if that was okay. Seems very ageism to me and I’m sure they wouldn’t serve me first if it was the other way around. I ended up leaving and ain’t never going back. I love their food and been going for ages but no more, I won’t be supporting chains that employ people who have no basic customer service skills. 17/12 between 1pm and 2pm

Came in this morning served by Susan ordered a lucozade and a sausage bap, Susan made it for me and gave it to me had no issues and as I left and opened the bag it had bacon (which I don’t eat) not sausage- simple mistake were human but I went back explained I asked for sausage and Susan called me a liar and instead of just apologising and changing it she wanted a row saying I was wrong. This has happened multiple times with Susan getting my order wrong and I’ve let it side but something I don’t eat I needed changed and instead I just got verbal rudeness. So I walked out and didn’t have my order changed. Rude service been going in there for years but won’t be returning. Awful customer service.

One rude Scottish woman behind the counter would not change my pasty that was supposed to be a steak and ale pasty. I bit into it twice and found it was virtually all potatoes, so expecting some steak and some ale flavour gravy in it, i complained that this was sold to me under a miss description and asked for my money back ! The rude lady said “certainly not you’ve gnawed into it”, unbelievable attitude for front of house.

Been a customer here for years, so much so that usually one of the ladies here always remembers my husband's preferences better than me ! The vegan sausage rolls are the very best !! So delicious you wouldn't know the meat was missing 😋 They will also sell you frozen pasties or sausage rolls if you need to keep them a bit longer ready to bake when you want them. Great service, tasty food, good prices.

Sausage rolls are OK if you're at deaths door, jalfrezi bakes were more pastry than filling and the brownies were dry. This is the 2nd bad experience in a short period of time. Its convenient if anything, used to be much nicer quality. Would visit again if the standards were upped.

Went in the Cornish Kitchen today and was served promptly and given what I wanted. I had 2 Biscoff brownies for £3.50 which I think is very reasonable as they're quite large and tasty. Definitely a good competitor to Greggs just down the road and I would encourage you to give them a try. They do vegetarian options and vegan sausage rolls that are quite a bit more substantial than Greggs and seem more authentic rather than production line. Maybe a little bit more expensive but not by much and worth it.

One staff in shop made me feel so little. This person told me to speak louder if I want to wear my mask. I did and still she kept on telling me to speak-up. Today will be my last visit. I am sure they wont mind as they get a lot footfall. Just be aware if you are wearing a mask and have an accent as some staff only understand the local/English accent.

Little Cornish pasty shop also doing coffees and the like. The pasty was good but the lady behind the counter was rude. I'm guessing she was the owner as she was so preoccupied with talking to the lady behind us about her mum and arranging a discount for her that she forgot to be polite and say good bye or even really anything. It was more of slap the change in my hand without even making eye contact. They are expensive as well £4+ for a pasty! They are good but that seems a lot.

My two-year-old loves the sausage rolls from this place - a visit here is de rigueur whenever we go to town. I prefer the pasties myself. Service is pretty quick and they don't waste time. Try to get there earlier rather than later, because they do run out of stuff and it is very popular.
