Fabulous sandwich, which we shared, also excellent quiche. We will go again ASAP!
We want to try the rest of the menu, but also the garden centre had a really good selection of house plants
three times that I have been here . Visiting from Danbury. Not far that's for sure. First let's start on the fish . It is very good quality. Had cod twice and on the third occasion had a middle skate. All time the fish was very good. Batter little thick . Now this is the bad points three occasions the chips looked like they were in needing some more time in the fryer. And every time they are cold and just poor quality . Then on two occasions had the curry sauce and if I was looking for a good wallpaper paste then I've just found it. And again cold . Then to add more problems to the meal. Walking out to the car the paper carrier bag handle broke with the bag on the floor. If I was the owners I would look at these problems and try the chips and other items. And listen to the customers. You have good fish but lack the finishing parts to make great fish meal . Good luck
Came for the Sunday carvery and it didn’t disappoint. Called to book a table and luckily managed to get a spot for my family of 5. From the moment we walked in we were impressed, the eating area (seperate from the bar area) was very cosy, staff were friendly and welcoming and we felt relaxed like we had been there a hundred times. Food was perfect, meats were delicious and the roast potatoes were crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle, just perfect, oh and the cauliflower cheese was spot on!
Will also keep your establishment in mind when we fancy a breakfast or a spot of lunch too
What is the obsession with mustard. Mustard in both my ham and cheese toastie and a pigs in blanket roll? Doesn’t make any sense to me. Mustard is a commonly liked sauce so I don’t understand why pret covers everything in it. Both my meals would have been really nice if they hadnt of been covered in mustard.
We went here for lunch and sat in the lovely garden, which is decorated with teacups lovely plants benches and white tables. Staff were friendly and the food was lovely we had the brunch bagel 🥯 and an ice coffee. Just be careful when digging into the bagel as the poached egg yolk went everywhere- but this is a sign of a great egg. Drinks were also lovely. Would defo go back. They also have a gorgeous private function room with music defo worth looking into.
Dreadful pub. AVOID.
Awful bar staff - no customer service and toilets are a hovel !
Far better pubs in the area. Do yourself. Favour and try any other pub !
I shop regularly here and food is great but the customer service has dropped dramatically
i tried telephoning through an order and got cut off twice then the person who i was speaking to decided to start taking another order from someone inn the shop i found this really rude.
I will not be going back as bad service has made me not want to go back
Fantastic menu and top quality food. Had a whole Octopus which was amazing. The Service was very attentive and friendly. Dog friendly too. We will be back!
First time here, pizza was amazing, who knew pear and blue cheese belong on pizza! Sasha was an absolute star and looked after us all night - nothing was too much trouble. Thank you
I came here to meet a few work colleagues for coffee and cake. The coffee was very nice but we were a bit disappointed by the selection of cakes (where was the Carrot cake which looks so nice on the website?) which were quite limited. The staff were quite friendly but they soon cleared our table once we had finished and they seemed to in a hurry for us to leave which was a shame as we would have stayed longer than an hour. As it was when we left, at 12.10, there were no other customers there - despite it being Lunch-time on a Friday - so it would not have mattered if we had stayed longer. On paying the bill, the prices were quite high for what we had (£7 for a coffee and an average slice of cake) so quite disappointing really and nothing special.
Friendly staff, too small for the size of hospital & the menu needs a look at. I felt visiting family at the hospital for a week, meant the menu was too much of the same type of food.
Aside from this, meals were available from Marks&Spencer but there was no where to heat them up.
