We saw some interesting wooden beams above the counter,
And cakes and bread , items that looked amazing on the counters.
We had our puppy with us and asked if dogs were allowed to sit under the table in the corner of the shop.
“Yes of course but take her upstairs” we were told.
Wow a hidden gem…..
Upstairs was wonderful ( we later found out) the building was 16th century and had a large white painted beamed restaurant with clean lovely wooden tables and the owner who could not do enough to make our visit special.
The food was different from other places was wonderful.
Our dog was made a fuss of as much as us.
A hidden special place that needs more visitors to expierence what we did.
Ordered the combination kebab deal which is advertised as two full kebabs with breads. Asked for one chicken and one lamb. Got given this with only one bread so seems really light on fillings. Avoid the kebabs from here
Brilliant soft play, have been multiple times. Staff are very helpful and the facilities are clean and appropriate for young children. A very pleasant place to spend time. Very well judged menu and great coffee!
We decided to try this take away after seeing it in the ratings in the Essex Chronicle. We were definitely not disappointed! We have tried virtually every Chinese in Chelmsford and have finally found what we have been looking for - great food, served hot at reasonable prices!! Will be our regular point of call from now on and would recommend to everyone 😊😊😊
I have visited here before when it was under the old owners so it was nice to see what the new owners have done with the venue.
Since being taken over it is in the middle of being redecorate with subtle changes being made each time you visit (i.e. new pictures on walls, newly painted walls etc.) this is nice to see as it shows the new owners are putting the time and effort to make it a nice place.
The food itself is nice, but budget, given the prices though you can’t really expect Michelin star food for such cheap prices. The food is always well cooked and bit portion sizes.
The new management and staff are polite and professional and will always try and cater for any request made by the customer.
Overall, this is a lovely little cafe in South Woodham and really nice to see it has remained a cafe and is thriving under the new management.
Set in Highlands park. For this event free reserved parking. Beautiful surrounding, with outstanding country views. A Traditional English Tea, Great service and a very nice atmosphere . Good photo opportunities
Correct your opening hours on Google (kinda important) and I'll remove the review. For the moment, let this help other customers to know the times are all wrong and you can arrive thinking you've 40 mins to have a tea and cake but only have 10mins like us
We were very sad when the previous business at this location closed, but having ordered from here twice now it’s a firm favourite. Even with a delivery, there was a personal service and very reasonably priced for the quality. The only thing that would improve it is if they had vegetarian options for all of their standard mains. There are a lot of very average Indian restaurants in Chelmsford so glad to have a new favourite takeaway.
