Very welcoming staff and the venue is super pretty. My husband wanted to know if he could have a bacon sandwich even though it was on the breakfast menu. The staff were most accommodating. My prawn and salmon quiche was excellent, served along with crisps, coleslaw, salad and baby potatoes. Everything beautifully presented. Very definitely worth visiting and would go again.

Always been a favourite venue for lunch but visited today and very disappointed. What has changed?Food was very good but the service was non existent. Had booked a table and on arrival no one greeted us and after waiting for a few minutes to be shown to our table no one appeared and decided to find our table. No staff came to our table and had to stop a passing waitress to ask for a menu. In the meantime few other diners arriving and shown to their table and drinks ordered and served to them. Our order was eventually taken and food arrived. This venue was always very busy with all tables full but many empty tables today. Number of young staff who were not very attentive and don't appear to have been trained for their role. Seemed happier standing around inside around the serving area chatting to each other and difficult to get their attention. We will not be hurrying back!

Wow - love this place can never fault the service or food. I took my 90 year old mum for breakfast and the member of staff who looked after us was excellent. We learnt it was only her second day - she did a fabulous expert job. Please pass on my thanks for being so friendly and helpful with my mum - you made her day ! Just to say the staff are always great here.

Met friends here for lunch & a catch up. Nice selection of sandwiches, jacket potatoes & meal options, & lots of homemade cake. Everything made to order. Cute set up, both indoor & outdoor seating options. Friendly staff. Toilets on site but not within the tea room. Nice garden centre too. Not too big.

Been many times to the secret garden and never had anything other than excellent food and service. The choices are very good and my favourite, scampi and chips never disappoints with the quality and quantity. The service is always friendly and prompt without being rushed. I don’t always have dessert as the main course portions are quite substantial, but when I do indulge, again very good. Never offended by the size of the bill, highly recommended for lunch.

I'm currently wheelchair bound, and we decided to visit on the merit that the website claims to have disabled access. Only it doesn't, not really. There isn't a lot in the way of paving outside, so I was unable to look at the rose bushes, and indoors the aisles are only just wide enough to wheel me down.In the tea room, I was forced to (very painfully) transfer from my wheelchair to one of the dining chairs - otherwise I wouldn't have been able to get my legs under the table and myself out of the way.The carrot cake and tea were lovely, but it's unlikely that we'll be visiting again due to access issues.

Went here today to browse the Garden Centre and have Brunch. The garden centre is really nice with an excellent selection of plants and shrubs. Loads of really nice garden ornaments.Best selection of hanging baskets in the area. The cafe wasn’t huge but it’s very nice. The cooked breakfast was excellent - really tasty, lovely fresh bread, quality ingredients, everything beautifully cooked. It was honestly the best tasting breakfast I’ve had in a long time - and I’ve had a few!For £7.95 including coffee - very good value too, considering the quality and quantity of what you get.The home made bread pudding and scones were excellent too.Made my day - thank you!

With wife for a Saturday out and popped in here for tea and cake. Pleasant surroundings and probably because of impending Mothers Day, was quite busy. Found table in the outside area and enjoyed our refreshments. The garden centre itself is well worth a visit for the vast range of garden features and pots. Went in for tea, came away laden with goodies. Must return soon.

Friendly staff, too small for the size of hospital & the menu needs a look at. I felt visiting family at the hospital for a week, meant the menu was too much of the same type of food. Aside from this, meals were available from Marks&Spencer but there was no where to heat them up.

I've wanted to go to this pub for ages. The reason being it was Keith flints pub. I was absolutely made up that I've photos of me outside which I'll frame. I do live far away so this has made my year being a big fan. I went inside and it was not what I expected. To be honest it has some nice charm to it. A real nice country pub. Prices are reasonable and the bar staff very friendly. I would recommend and would love to go back again.
