The best restaurants in Chelmsford East of England

I ordered prawn bhuna, pilau rice, Bombay potato & nan bread. It was disappointingly only warm when I picked it up on time. The flavour was not very exciting & the nan undercooked. I have been getting food here for some years now. This was a check as last experience was poor. No more orders from me.

We've been using this restaurant for a long time now. Mainly for takeaways, and I have to say we have NEVER been disappointed. This food is out of this world !!! Always fresh, absolutely delicious , packed with flavour just divine. Honestly if you want consistently amazing food this is the place. Hats off to the chef's, this food is worth every penny. Thank you and stay amazing.

Another wonderful breakfast with Santa, so personally done, with decorations to decorate, biscuits to decorate, colouring in, Santa and gift, plus a yummy breakfast. We come every year because my daughter loves it and her friends book too and extremely reasonably priced.

Atmosphere a 5 - it’s a takeaway, what can you say on the atmosphere. But the staff service and the food is absolutely banging - not your average diner meat!! Had a mixed doner wrap and it was absolutely banging!!

Came here at 4pm to get some food but the girl on the counter aggressively said we are closing. I come back 15 mins later and see the place is still opened, serving customers. Never coming here again to this awful customer service. Good luck to the owner if they think they are going to make money with this kind of staff representing their brand

The food arrived late and unfortunately all the food was cold.

So, I receive a call from the restaurant on 17/12/24 (13 days before my reservation!!) to confirm my NYE DAY reservation and requesting to take a deposit? We unfortunately cannot make this day now due to a matter which I do not need to explain to the ever so rude, jumped up, man on the phone. He then very abruptly tells me that I have cancelled in Jan 2023 really!! and the year before really!! and that it is on my records so any further bookings will require a deposit. I have never forgotten that they cancelled our NYE reservation just 24 hours before during covid when all the other restaurants were actually open! With this appalling attitude towards your customers; myself, family or friends will not be stepping back foot into your restaurant.

Lovely little pub. Nice food and drink. Quick service They even let you bring the dog.

This place is very bad (holding my touge) had a table booked for 11.got told can't have a drink at the bar was TOLD go sit at your table and order food when not all the party was there.sorry can't Finnish as I don't want to relive it

Held a lunch for 47 members and friends to present trophies to the Club competition winners. Nothing was too much trouble. We were well looked after leading up to and on the day. Event was a great success. Will do it again.

I visited last night with my husband and had a wonderful evening. The Royal Tiger has been there for 22 years, which given the challenges the hospitality industry has faced speaks volumes. I was a little bit apprehensive about a fusion restaurant, but we sampled both Thai and Indian and it was delicious. I particularly enjoyed the coco prawn (Thai) and lamb shank (Indian). They’ve got a great cocktail menu- we had a marg and a pina colada. They do a range of Asian beers too. The staff are super attentive and friendly, and I noticed that most of the customers appeared to be regulars. They have great events and a dance floor. Will definitely return for an event
