We've been using this restaurant for a long time now. Mainly for takeaways, and I have to say we have NEVER been disappointed. This food is out of this world !!! Always fresh, absolutely delicious , packed with flavour just divine. Honestly if you want consistently amazing food this is the place. Hats off to the chef's, this food is worth every penny. Thank you and stay amazing.

Ordered a take away and believe me there is nothing Indian about this restaurant. Me being Indian myself this food is so far off the mark and bad tasting, I could recommend a handful of better places to eat. Always be weary of a restaurant with 100 plus items on their menus (it could be 200 for all I know)

Ordered tonight for a delivery. Food (Chicken Madras & Tikka Missala) was delicious, flavourful, and hot on arrival. The only downside was the chips (they were undercooked), and the poppadums were soggy. Would order again

Unfortunately the chicken tikka was rather tough without an enjoyable flavour. The other dishes were far too oily for my liking, but this could be down to personal preference! However a special mention to your male delivery driver. He was extremely polite, friendly and kind. Genuinely the best delivery driver in years.

My first experience of ordering at Indian Night and it will be the first of many. Ordered the food at 5pm and scheduled delivery for 18:30. I was shocked when it was delivered at 18:30 ON THE DOT. The food was piping hot, exactly as ordered, packaged really well and most of all probably the tastiest takeaway I’ve ever had. The food was top quality and full of favour. Honestly could not have had a better experience. Look forward to ordering here again and 100% recommend.

Absolutely disgusting - honestly you couldn’t find a worse place. To start with the car park was covered in rubbish - clearly hadn’t been maintained or swept for years. The outside of the building looks like it has been derelict for 20/30 years - half the top floor has fallen on to the pavement - the rubble of which has been laying there for months. The visit? Well, after entering what looks like a derelict building we where not Surprised to find a really grubby and old fashioned restaurant. The tables where sticky, my chair was covered in stains and the general decor was aged and tired. From peeling wall paper to thick dust everywhere. The meal was vile - we waited an hour for starters. Nobody came for drinks orders in that time. So we just got up and walked out. It honestly couldn’t have been any worse - the place should be shut down for health reasons.

Staying in Chelmsford I ordered from this restaurant, Foos looked OK I went for vegetarian based dishes. Had it delivered and I have to say, And no disrepect to the delivery guy but he looked dirty and not presentable more like a vagrant. I only had half of the Vegetable dopiaza and the poppadoms and a chapati and another vegetarian side dish I didn't like. 4 hours later I was sick and proceeded to have a night in the bathroom from both ends and for days I felt terrible, Aching body and headache and stomach issues for a few days. Rarely do I get a stomach bug but I can only put it down to this take away indian food. From the dirty looking delivery guy and the last review from a visiting customer I think the food hygiene need to have a look at this place.

I’ve always heard good things about Indian Nights but I was disappointed. The butter chicken tasted nothing like butter chicken it was not buttery at all more like a tikka masala with a bit of coconut in. The saag paneer had one cube of cheese which appeared to be cheddar not paneer, it wasn't a squeaky cheese it had a stronger flavour and didn’t taste right to me on an Indian. For £4 how can you justify one bit of cheese too. Would not order again.

Don't let the overwhelming menu intimidate you! A few of us got a takeaway, and all of the currys were great. If you get some sides, and you are happy with just a few chunks of meat, (all our chicken currys had quite chunky pieces) you could easily split a curry between two people as there's plenty of sauce. The vegetable biryani most definitely served two! Really tasty and great service. Would order again for sure.

Used to be a decent restaurant pre COVID but last few orders have been terrible. Tonight’s food topped the lot. Was cold, mild, watery, congealed and the whole thing tasted of fish… even the keema naan bread! (There was no fish supposed to be on my order). Also found a large bone in my curry which I don’t mind but wasn’t stated on website so almost took a tooth ou. Honestly, one of the worst currys I’ve ever had in my life, and I’ve had a lot. I have been using Indian Nights for many years for my weekly takeaways, and eating in on occasions. The food used to be delicious, but recently the it has gone downhill. I ordered food on New Years Eve and received stale poppadoms, most of the sauce from my King Prawn Masala had leaked badly due to poor packing and the Sag Aloo had far more spinach than potato. You also used to get 3 very large prawns, but they have got considerably smaller over time. I think it is time to find a new indian restaurant! I would not recommend anymore.

Ordered directly through their website and 30 minutes later I get a call from the delivery driver complaining that it's freezing outside and to come find her. Now I live in a pretty developed area, with multiple entrances to my block of flats. When asked where she is so I can find her, she described her location as "I'm at the end of the street with concrete". When I told her to ring the intercom, she got even more pissed off at me and hung up. Food wise, it was cold, the rice was half empty and honesty looked like the pissed off delivery lady ate half my dinner.

I ordered a takeaway. Chicken tikka masala , mushroom rice, nan , and tarka dhal. The portion sizes were very good. The tika was ok, not bad but not great. The mushroom rice was pretty bad , a large portion of pilau rice with added mushrooms.Fairly dry and not nice tasting.I ended up throwing half of it away. The nan was ok. The tarka dhal was disgusting ,smelled unpleasant , the lentils were hard and the sauce was a white colour. I tasted a small amount and then threw it away . really disgusting and unappetising . The website says a discount for cash. I just happened to have enough cash in my wallet 2x£10 note sitting there for some time thanks to lockdown and covid so decided to use cash. The delivery guy asked me for the full price and I could not be bothered to argue over a few quid to be honest. I was left wondering if he pocketed the difference. To sum up the main dish was ok , nothing outstanding but ok and a large portion. The rice was bad.The nan was ok and The dahl was disgusting and went in the bin. Plus I was overcharged with no cash discount as advertised. Very disappointing for the 5th best curry house in chelmsford.

Went for the Chef’s specials! Prawn in red and Chicken in red!( not what they were called). 4 prawns, in a indistinguishable red sauce in a large container. About 4 pieces of chicken again in the takeaways favourite red sauce. Over £24 for a not very nice experience. Both dishes looked the same and lacked the main ingredient. I would doubt the ingredients cost £4. An experience not to be repeated!

Probably the worst customer service I’ve ever had, we ordered a takeaway from here on New Year’s Eve to which we expected a delay so we ordered the takeaway at roughly 5 o’clock expecting maybe a 18:30/19:00 delivery due to mass orders on New Year’s Eve. To our surprise Uber eats gave us the notification that the expected delivery would be roughly 18:15 so we waited till then and it didn’t arrive, so we checked the app and it then said they are busier than usual so it may be 18:50 which was fine as they updated us. Got round to 19:10 still no food or update so I tried to phone them on the provide number (which is the same number on every source of social media, website, tripadvisor etc) but no answer straight to user busy so I phoned again, and again, and again and then 166 more times (I wish I was joking) before giving up. On Uber Eats it gives you the option to say your food is late so we clicked that and it instantly updated to 19:50 so we waited and at 20:00 we had no phone and no answer. We requested money back on the app and they instantly sent a text saying sorry for the delay here’s £3 which fair enough they gave us money back but in reality it’s a £1 an hour they were late which were ideal considering the amount we spent on the takeaway. We were about to go McDonald’s and give up but at 20:50 our takeaway surprisingly showed up.. Moral of the story If you want a good Indian dinner I’d suggest walking to India and bringing it back before ordering from here. Driver was nice as pie though.

Tried this place last night as heard good things, only have one takeaway to go on but I was not disappointed. Our food arrived in 20 mins which is good going for a Saturday night! I ordered a signature dish; a 'Chicken Shatkori' which was like a saucier Jalfrezi with lemon wedges and less chillis which was full of flavour as well as a good spice level. Was unique and not like a lot of other places in Chelmsford where the curries only seem to differentiate on heat. Only gripe perhaps is paying £34 for 2 meals (2 x mains, rices, naans and poppadoms) which is a bit more than I would usually spend. But overall good quality and will try out the actual restaurant when things are back to normal!

The lamb was very good quality no fat just nice tender meat with the dhansak sauce perfectly spiced. Was interesting to read on their menu how popular their saag paneer is they’ve made an option to have it as a main dish and I can see why it would compliment with anything. Never ordered a Indian Takeout since moving to Galleywood but decided I would give this a try for me and my Mum since I am currently on crutches and can't be bothered to cook. I had a Korma and my Mum Chicken Tikka Masala, with saag aloo, pomps, pashmina naam and rice. Korma was really tasty and not bland at all. Having previously spending several months travelling India and Sri Lanka I know my curry's. Although I still enjoy a non spicy curry it was not bland at all. I had Lamb Korma and the lamb just melted in my mouth! I am not usually a fan of Saag dishes but this was amazing! I could have eaten that on it's own it was soooo tasty! Delivered nice and hot! My Mum's chicken tikka was beautiful! Huge tender pieces of chicken (that had been marinated) and the sauce was thick and creamy! I can't fault this takeout! Shocking service. Don't answer phone or text messages. I've been going here for years but NEVER again. The service and the food has gone down big time. The last takeaway we had was a curry - basically a tin of tomatoes with some meat. Extremely basic - standards have slipped!!! Will go elsewhere.

As regular patrons we were again treated as if we were first time customers. Ruhel our waiter was attentive and very informative with regard to our menu choices. The food was superb and severed in very generous portions, after our meal we were able to relax, take time to digest our meal without being rushed to vacate our table, all the aforementioned will most certainly encourage us to visit again and to recommend to others.

Fantastic meal and service. Rahul saw to us very nicely on our table, the wine was amazing, really nice Argentina Malbec, and you don’t get decent wine at many of the Indians I’ve been to recently. Food was faultless, good flavour to the Jalfrezi and decent portions. Will definitely return.

It is a nice place to go eat, although we did go on a very busy evening. It took us a while to get the waiters attention to ask for a drinks top up, food was good, not the best of indians i have visited. They took ages to clear the table once finished and we had to ask for the bill a few times. But like i said it was a very busy evening and probably isn't a fair review. Entertainment was good. And overall it is a nice restaurant to go with friends. But i would avoid the busier times.

We ordered a take away, which took 2 hours to arrive and when it did the food was cold. Very disappointed with the service.

First time there and impressed with the food. Very tasty. Also a good close up magician ( card tricks etc ) touring the tables who was great fun. Staff very attentive and polite.

Excellent lunch. Great choice very tasty and good size portions. We went on. A Groupon deal and literally just had to pay £2 supplement for the king prawns. Also bought all we couldn’t eat do enough for supper too. Cauliflower bhaji was amazing

Alright I've given it a 5 in all categories given it's probably the most banging curry house in the land. Word to the wise though don't stay past 9pm as one of the delivery drivers did a huge shit which gassed the entire place out
