I came here for my birthday lunch with my husband and toddler. The service was amazing, Alyssa was fabulous and couldn’t do enough for us. I don't go to Zizzi much, but every time I do i expect so much more than I get. During this visit, we were pointed to our table more than shown it, our order took longer than it should have given how busy they weren't, the order was messed up quite badly, and staff were not attentive at all. Doubt I'll go back, there are so many better places in Chelmsford to get this kind of meal.

Came with my partner for a date night out, the lady who seated us was very nice but the other (sorry didn't catch any names) wasn't very welcoming. Food was great, service was good and very reasonably priced. One thing I will say is the chef yelling (not angrily, just to communicate) didn't contribute to the atmosphere very well. Otherwise, decent experience and would probably come again :)

We came for a 3 course meal that they had advertised. Such great value and all plates were absolutely incredible. We really enjoyed it here, definitely a safe spot for food!

We couldn't get a table at Moto pizza so came here instead. We had quite a nice family lunch but not in the same league as the pizza at Moto. I ordered the Meat Sofia for myself which was tasty but a bit on the dry side and extremely over priced. Over £17 for a pizza just seems excessive to me. I couldn't fault the service though. The staff were all lovely.

This was my first outing to Zizzi’s and I booked a table in advance for two during Valentine’s Day. We ordered Garlic Bread for starters and a Rustica Margarita Pizza and the Wagyu Meatball Arrabbiata. I thought the Garlic Bread was very nice and was given a generous portion. The pizza was given slightly cold and the Wagyu meatballs could’ve been better. The service could have been speedier in terms of ordering and paying the bill considering that we were sat for at least 10-15 minutes until asked about our order and was not immediately given our bill. Despite that, the food came out relatively quickly and would probably pay another visit.

We had such a lovely family meal the food was amazing and the staff especially Shivi & Emma made us feel so welcome we can’t wait to visit again thank you ☺️

We had booked a reservation for seven people, when we arrived we were told that they had rejected the reservation, but they had not sent a cancellation email. The staff members were rude and unpleasant during this interaction. One server was repeatedly sarcastic. This was a very disappointing experience as we have previously enjoyed going to Zizzi's, I would not recommend this restaurant to people in the area. Wildwood is nearby and much more inviting.

We booked a table for 7, we arrived and was told that they didn’t have a table and were rather rude about it. They said they declined the reservation but we did not have any notification of this, as our email said booking confirmed

Emma.s was so attentive. We always love zizzi chelmsford and she Just made our experience even better as she was hilarious. Lovely and tasty food as always. Keep it up as I even saw her trying to do sign language to a deaf table. She just goes above and beyond.

We always choos zizzi whenever we want to have Italian food. I took my friend to celebrate her birthday, but it was disappointing this time. Pasta was delicious but pizza was cold(not even lukewarm). I was going to tell the staff about it when they come to check the dishes, but the staff came to our table when we finished the pasta and just said "sorry about that". We both weren't impressed with this experience and I'm not sure if I will go back to this restaurant 😔

Absolutely amazing! We ate tonight at Zizzi and we loved the food! The waitress was very friendly and professional. Plus big thanks to chefs as that sea bass was out of this world! We will definitely come back for more.

Visited on an afternoon during the Christmas break. I was very disappointed in the service, from being seated at the table, we were left for over 20 mins to give our drink order, even then I had to call a waiter. After another 10 mins someone cleared the waste from the people before us, dropping a glass and smashing it in the process. We then received our drinks and gave our food order. Approx another 15 mins we received the food, my meal the pulled beef was ok but my wife’s chicken Milanese was like a piece of cardboard which had obviously been microwaved with rock hard chips. Overall very poor service, no greeting, no polite conversation and periods of waiting’s for anyone to serve us. Will not be returning

We made a last minute booking for 10 - including 5 children, and were really well looked after. Staff were patient and understanding and attentive. We were all very happy.

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant recently. Upon arriving at 7:30pm, we were told we couldn’t be seated because the kitchen had “run out of food.” While this was surprising, we respected the explanation and left. However, what truly frustrated us was noticing multiple people being seated after we left. We went back in and expressed our disbelief and disappointment to the lady who denied us, to which she said, it was just pizza bases they’ve run out of. Why was we not given an option to have an alternative option from the menu? It felt like we were given an excuse instead of an honest explanation. Whether it was a miscommunication or something else, the lack of transparency left a bad impression. I hope the restaurant improves its communication and service in the future.

My work team chose Zizzi for our office Christmas meal this year. It was so easy to book and we completed a pre-order, and when we had the meal it was so well planned by staff that each dish was called out by people’s names meaning we didn’t have to remember what we had ordered! Our servers Weronika and Alyssa were absolutely brilliant and made the whole process so smooth. The food was so tasty and hot when it arrived, there were no issues and the service was quick! We were so impressed and agreed that we would all be happy to return.

A wonderful experience specially in terms of food and service the lady who was serving us Alysa was very friendly and attentive to our food requirements always in a good spirit smiling and giving us a great service.
