Been to zizzi's for my sons birthday and i couldn't be happier of our choice...the food is delicious and without any faults...Emma served us and she was very friendly,kind,always did make us feel welcome and ready to help us in any way,well done Emma for your excellent service. We will definitely go back there to try different dishes they have on the menu that sounds so yummy. Thank you zizzi chelmsford

I recently visited Chelmsford and from the variety of restaurants to choose from I choose Zizzi to grab a bite to eat. How glad I was that I did, the atmosphere was brilliant busy but great. From entering I was greeted by friendly & knowledgeable staff. The menus had excellent choices, the food arrived in good time and the meal was delicious. Great value for money and I definitely recommend Zizzi in Chelmsford, I know I will be going there again.

We had the pleasure of visiting Zizzi in Chelmsford and was served by Weronika, a very enthusiastic and friendly individual who provided great customer service. Her recommendations for the dishes we are was fabulous, Weronika we would like to thank you for making our visit to Zizzi better than we expected. You are an asset to the restaurant and hopefully will be there when we visit again.

Calzone tiny for £16. food mediocre and overpriced for quantity and quality especially the starters, mocktails over £5 and it had no taste at all, toilets absolutely disgraceful state but main annoyance we were a party of 6 adults and 3 kids, we signed up to the Zillionaires club and got code for discount off 6 main meals, the deal states discount for maximum of 6 main meals so we said thats fine we have ordered 6 main meals but they said no we had to have a table or booking of no more than 6!! nowhere does it state you cannot use if there are more than 6 of you sitting at the table, it just states the discount will be off maximum of 6 main meal, its a different discount to the blue light card, manager couldnt be bothered to come and speak to us when we said it does not say that just left the poor waitress to take the flack, my thoughts are they have got it wrong and we will be looking into it further, will not be going back there

For a Thursday evening meal out this place was good. Quality food; main meal drink and dessert for around £28 and standard service. Would go again but would not be the first place I think of.

Dreadful service. Waited 10 minutes to be served, two different waitresses came outside but both walked back in and didn’t even acknowledge us. It was a Wednesday night and not particularly busy. After 15 minutes we got up and left without anyone even noticing. It’s a shame because I loved the menu and would have spend a decent amount of money with my boyfriend. Had we ordered drinks within 5 minutes we would have stayed but the service was just appalling.

Had a lovely lunch with my Mum today at Zizzi, the service was great as was the food. We had a rustic pepperoni pizza with courgette fries and a drink. The pizza was just right, not at all doughy or dry like some thin pan pizzas can be, the fries were great. Couldn't fault the staff or the food, thoroughly recommend.

Visited today and felt I had to write a review on the fantastic service I received from Adam at the Chelmsford Zizzi. He was friendly, helpful and very welcoming despite being on his own covering all the tables. A real credit to Zizzi. I hope the manager sees this review as he really was great and I just wanted him to get some recognition for doing a great job. The food was also really tasty and very hot but it was the service we got was what impressed us the most. Thank you!

Waited an hour from placing my order to receive it, this is not acceptable without explanation as to why this has occurred. Now i’ve received cold food

Been to Zizzi a few times and have always been a little disappointed. Certainly not by the staff and atmosphere ... they have always been top notch. The dough is just far to heavy and we all (not just me) feel uncomfortable after eating there. This was our fifth visit and it will be our last. The dough is just far too heavy and doesn't agree with us.

Entered at 7 - food came out at 8.55. That's not good enough for any restaurant, especially on a Wednesday. Food is good though, the waitress was good also. The venue is clean and well decorated. It's a shame that one thing brought it down.

Nice food but drinks especially wine overpriced. A glass of wine nearly £10 you can buy the same bottle in a supermarket for less than £10.. they seriously need to reduce their prices.

We ate at Zizzi’s Chelmsford on Saturday for lunch and overall the food was good, but one particular waitress with blonde hair was very rude to our group. It made the experience of our lunch uncomfortable and we will most likely avoid this waitress in the future.

After many lovely meals here before and very attentive service i was disappointed today. Ordered King Prawn Linguine and got King Prawn Spaghetti with no courgette, usually someone comes by and ask if everything ok, not today and could not get anyones attention. When the girl came to clear our plates i mentioned it to her andshe could not offer an explanation, man at table next to me ordered same and got Linguine not Spaghetti still no explanation. Only a little thing but enough to make me think again before eating there in the future, especially as there are so many eateries in Chelmsford now.

We ate at Zizzi in Chelmsford last night and can't wait to go back. The team member who looked after us, Weronika, was so kind and helpful. We needed both gluten free and vegan food, and Weronika helped us with the menu. She was also so friendly, with a happy smile. Nothing was too much trouble for Weronika. She made our evening. We also met Adam, who was also a really lovely and kind member of the team at Chelmsford. Both Adam and Weronika are absolute assets to Zizzi in Chelmsford. Thank you for a wonderful meal. The food was really delicious, and we were impressed with the choice for us as vegan and gluten free people. We will be back soon. ☺️

We had the lunchtime taster menu and it was delicious. This is the 2nd time we'd had it and it was just as good. Our waitress (Shivi) was very efficient, attentive, friendly and polite.

Vegan meals are small. We are not all slimmers and some protein (real mushrooms) would help. Separately, waitress was helpful in switching a tiny meat meal to something more like what the menu advertised.

We had four pizzas. Delivery person arrived holding the boxes on their side, and handed them over like that. On opening the boxes, the pizzas were crumpled up and stuck to the inside.

The food was extremely average for the prices, I had a salad and the avocado wasn’t ripe and was hard. The salad in general was quite tasteless. My other half had a pizza that was ok but very overpriced for the size and quality overall. The staff were friendly.

Went with a group of about 17 for New year eve dinner , I had ordered Chicken Spienidi for starters and Roasted mushroom risotto for mains and both were disappointing. Tiramisu was okay. Pizzas would-be a better choice.

The food is great here never any problems, but the service is hit and miss. We've been turned away a few weeks ago (and probably other regulars) because they 'had a big table in' with most the restaurant empty. Tried again the other day, the food was good but the manager had a bad attitude/rude when I tried to pay

For the prices charged for each dish, we thought overall that the quality was not good. Side dishes were small for the £4 plus each that they were and there were too many brown-edged lettuce leaves that we wouldn't eat at home let alone in a restaurant. The ravioli was meant to be filled with goats cheese but it was barely there. I think restaurant chains, in particular, try to give you as little as they can for the highest price the think they can get away with. Won't be back.

First experience in house as usually just takeaway however not disappointed. Staff were lovely, patient and kind. We had a huge booking and they managed to cater all our meals in a timely manner as well as drinks. Hats off this great team Saturday 9th night

Absolutely lovely food, the vegetable rainbow lasagna is absolutely incredible! Perfect for non-meat eaters and meat eaters alike, such amazing flavours. Our waitress was lovely, a little slow but to be expected on a busy Friday night. She handled a rude customer on a table next to us very well. Overall lovely branch, definitely my favourite restaurant!

Great staff and atmosphere. Being seated beside the kitchen and a few loud tables on a Friday night had a negative impact as we couldn't hear each other. All of our chips were transparent where they had been sat in grease (too hard to eat and no potato inside). The pizza with pork crackling came with no crackling (said had ran out). Room for improvement

I had dinner here on a Monday and the restaurant was quiet. I ordered the King Prawn Linguine which tasted overcooked and bland in flavour. We then waited for a very long time for someone to take our plates away, which made us feel forgotten about. The server instead spoke to who I assume were friends at Wingstop opposite.

So we decided to go to Zizzi for a dinner, it was just me and my daughter on this occasion and it was her choice. On arrival we didn’t have to wait long until we were seated. As I am a vegetarian it’s always nice to have plenty of options, and I must admit there was a fair selection of vegetarian choices on the menu. As expected with Italian cuisine there was a choice of pizzas and spaghetti/pasta dishes. Catering got meat eaters, vegetarians, vegans and so on. The service was good, the food was nice, the restaurant has two floors with plenty of seating and the overall atmosphere was pleasant enough. The portions were a good size, and the cost of the dishes was not overly expensive. I think you get what you pay for and the purl happily return.

We were a fairly large group who ate at Zizi’s in Chelmsford for my sons 18th birthday. We always have great service in this restaurant and the menu is varied and covers all of our tastes. Our waitress was Grace and she was fantastic, patient, polite and helpful. She couldn’t have done any more to make sure that we had a great evening. Thank you so much to Grace 😊

Food was pleasant - soft drinks expensive, waitress was very attentive, no WiFi signal though advertised as available. It's not a cheap option for lunch, though other customers were receiving discounts, I understand there are vouchers and loyalty schemes available.

Came for lunch and had booked inside but as the weather was nice decided to sit outside instead. The staff were very accommodating and made every effort to help (moving tables, etc). Why we had to book at all, I'm not sure as the place was virtually empty. That was probably a good thing, to be fair, as they were very short-staffed. That meant a bit of a wait (to order, to get the food, for tables to be cleared and to pay), but they coped admirably in any case. The food was absolutely delightful (the picante carne calzone and the Meat Sofia pizza in particular, but both were indeed spicy, as advertised). The Favourites Platter to start was indeed full of favourites, with a particular shout-out for the calamari which was beautiful! No beer on draft but a few different ones in bottles. Selection of wines and other drinks good, too. There is a kids' menu and they are supremely child friendly from start to end. Toilets (upstairs, but there is a lift for those less able to walk; there is also a ramp into the main restaurant, great for wheelchairs and prams alike) were clean enough. In short, very good indeed, but at almost £230 for five adults and two children, cheap it ain't!

Went from 5* to 3* The lasagne is so much smaller than 6 months ago and prices keep going up. I had starters and the lasagne and was still hungry because it is so small now. Also served room temperature beer 3* is generous for how it is now

Yummy food in a classic Zizzi setting. Service wasn't amazing but we did get everything we asked for. Food was really nice!

Had a great meal with my son, the waitress was very attentive, the food was great as usual.

Made to feel uncomfortable as went outside to smoke and when came back food was put on table whilst we were outside with a fly on it. When then try to get attention to ask for pepper and pamisam got told, well you was outside. Then brought over two peppers when finally got cheese, had it grated over food then brushed grater with her hand onto the floor. Table very sticky, eat up and left and went to bar round corner which was more welcoming. won't be going back.

Dropped in here for lunch today as we couldn't get into our original choice having failed to book. Staff were helpful if not overly welcoming and we all decided to choose off of the set menu. Great value at £23.95 for three courses and a very good varied menu. Large well presented food which was excellent. Would recommend although the only downside was that the aircon was blasting out and, although asking if it could be lowered, nothing happened. A bit cold !

Why was the bartenders baby behind the bar sitting in the sink? Surely that is against like 1000 health and safety protocols.

Our waitress Anett was very accommodating and polite with us. We enjoyed our meal very much. And the treatment was wonderful.

Visited this week with friends who go regularly at least twice a month. The food is always to a consistent standard with a good variety on the menu. The staff are friendly and helpful. The ambience is relax and not rushed.

Very nice experience. Staff were great, polite and attentive. Atmosphere was good for a Saturday afternoon. Food was excellent, the only reason I’m not going to give you 5 Stars is because the Cocktails (Strawberry Daiquiri) weren’t great. Tasted too weak and like Blackcurrant Squash. Maybe add a little crushed Ice and a squidge more alcohol next time :P Do visit this place though 👌
