The best restaurants in Chelmsford East of England

My company has a contract with premier inn so I have stayed in many of their hotels around the country. I’ve never had a bad stay but the Chelmsford city centre location stands head and shoulders above the rest. The common areas and rooms are always immaculate and the staff are so welcoming and friendly. Working away from home is never a joy but the people at Chelmsford make it a pleasure.

Had a bottomless brunch, Krissy was our waiter and couldn’t fault her, very quick with drinks. Good value for money. Thanks again!

Best Costa out there! Staff are lovely and always smiling, laughing and will always have a chat and ask how your days going no matter how busy they are. This is my daily treat after a long day at work so i’m always looking forward to it and i’ve never been disappointed!

The new layout is something to get used to. They do not seem to have as much selection in the way of rods and floats. The staff are friendly and keen to help . If they can order in something for you to look at , they will. I like the idea of the angling direct app that gives you a discount on some products in store . I would suggest if there is something that you require, check the website first to see if they have it to save you a wasted trip .

Reasonable price and decent food

A good old Essex pub, with TV sports, darts and pool, if you get cold, there's a wood burning fire🔥

Really disappointed with the service at this pub. I went for lunch with my family on a Sunday. We couldn't order the roast that was advertised very big on the blackboard near entrance. It has to be pre-booked apparently. We decided to ordered from the menu but the guy from the bar said that half of what's on the menu is not available. So we left to choose from 4 options. After ordering whatever was available it took more than 1 hour to have fish and chips served (and a tablespoon of peas floating in tiny bowl half full of water - disgusting) pub was mostly empty, duhh. It is unbelievable how bad the food and service was in this place.

Lovely pub, very popular with locals, but treats visitors warmly. Good fire place too

Hongs place has excellent service, we had an issue with our order an she went above and beyond to sort everything out promptly I highly recommend the crispy Mongolian lamb 🐑

What a quality.... So delicious the authentic taste of sweets, piajoo, Jilapee..... We took 4 kg for my place Devon. We will come again to have meal at Banoful. A. Sohel
