Fantastic afternoon tea enjoyed by myself and six friends. Delicious fresh food, generous size pots of tea and individual bottles of Prosecco made for a delightful afternoon. Staff were helpful, attentive and friendly

Where do I start…..great lunch (tuna sandwich on freshly baked bread, ham and cheese toasty and the most amazing Welsh Rabbit. It just goes to show what a little bit of love, great ingredients and attention detail can add to these dishes.
Lovely setting away from the hustle and bustle of the city center with tables generously spaced so you are not sitting on your neighbours laps.
What set this place apart were the staff - everyone wanted to help, guide you through the menu and nothing was too much trouble.
A special mention for Felicity who was an absolute star. She guided us to the Christmas Cake and Chocolate Brownie which were to die for - so much so we ordered a whole cake and tray make for Christmas (at very reasonable rates). The Christmas Cale was the finest I have tasted in years!!!
All in all - a fabulous spot for breakfast and lunch 1 we will be back!

I really enjoyed the food they served here, it was very delicious and the staff here are so nice and friendly.
The house special rice is so delicious and the satay sauce is nice with the chips.
I’ll definitely recommend to visit here.
The Food had no taste and didn’t look great.
The whole restaurant looked like it needed a good clean.
I saw The staff eating the leftovers off of the plates.
I was up all night with a bad stomach and diarrhoea
I would just like too say a massive thank you too the beautiful barmaid Paris who served me. What a lovely, lovely girl, she made me feel so welcome and more confident. Such a lovely person, thank you so much Paris for making our evening 💗 xx
We hired a room at the back of the Hive for the Wake after a family funeral. It was a perfect venue with views out of the large bay window over the park. The tables were set out nicely with flowers on them.
We ordered buffet food from the The Hive's kitchen which was excellent in quality and was displayed attractively.
The staff were very helpful when we needed them, but otherwise we were left on our own. It was reasonably priced and there was free parking at the park.
Thank you very much to the Hive.
Sat on swing chair would not be my choice but no others were available it happens
Ughh! uncomfortable
The tins of food + bottle of wine inc glasses tables are ridiculously small paid £50 buffet £30 bottle of wine £10 tip for two dont bother cat food chunks of chicken I think however a couple of tins had a nice flavoured spice the other dishes cant call them dishes just small tinned portions not great overall wont go again
The rocky road (nuts) was a Christmas take and it was very yummy thanks Nicola would highly recommend maybe the adult cake next time ( Irish cream cake ) regards Roy.
Because of its surrounding glazing, the atmosphere of the Glass House Cafe is inspiring and enhances the much needed social interaction with neighbours. All kinds of ages, and lovely comfort food of jacket potatoes, sandwiches and freshly made salads; generous portions and immediate service by friendly staff. And as you think you are done, you notice the delicious cakes sitting on the counter, and you stay for a quality coffee accompanied by one of them , at least :-). We are going back for sure! Keep up the great work, Maria and team!
See picture for the cold rubber things that should be fishcakes horrid burnt flat spring rolls. Chicken satay along with everything was cold. £40 for takeaway for 2 expect much more.

Got severe food poisoning, so bad that my husband called an ambulance. I ate my usual Prawn curry on Thursday evening 10th April. The prawns actually looked smaller and harder than normal, and in retrospect, like they had been reheated. Not freshly cooked. I shouldn't have eaten them, but I hadn't eaten a thing all day so was hungry. Luckily I only ate half of them as they tasted a bit strange, and I had boiled rice. During that night the nausea and sickness started...then it escalated into the worst 24 hours of my life. I HAVE NEVER FELT SO UNWELL. IT WAS HORRENDOUS. It was so bad that paramedics came and said I needed to go to hospital. I was so dehydrated as I couldn't keep a sip down. I had diarrhea for hours and hours. I lost all feeling in arms and hands. My whole body was I agony, chest pain and I was FREEZING COLD with a fever.
Whoever was the cook that night needs to be sacked.
What I went through I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. The hospital said it was shell fish poisoning. I hadn't eaten anything else since the day before.
I've used this takeaway since 1998.
This is the first time I've ever complained about anything.
I'm genuinely concerned this doesn't happen to anyone else, as 4 days later I'm still unwell.
Please take this seriously as this could kill someone, especially a child. Thank God my grandson didn't have any or god help you, I would not just be writing a complaint.
