The best restaurants in Chelmsford East of England

We were very disappointed, poor service, indifferent staff, small portions, food average, slow service. Won’t be returning.

Paul was amazing and not only the food great but the service from him was amazing !!!

Always a great place to eat , friendly atmosphere, great staff and delicious food . The 2 or 3 set course menu is also very good value .

Went here Thursday for my husband birthday the place was amazing food was amazing and the waiters are amazing was recommended by my son defo go back there soon

Enjoyed the lovely beer garden at the rear of the pub, and also a pint of Hawkstone cider.

Absolutely amazing food, the ribs in particular were some of the best I have ever tried and really reasonably priced. The service was amazing and the ambience in the restaurant was perfect, definitely recommend!

Just had a fabulous meal! The restaurant is beautiful, the service is amazing and the food is incredible!! I had the lamb it fell off the bone and the sauce left a little kick not too over powering just right!

Always lovely here, food was great and we served by Beverly who was excellent.

We all had a fantastic Sunday Lunch for 6 adults and a toddler.. Food was faultless … one of our family is Vegan and she said her nut roast meal was absolutely, without doubt, the best she’s ever eaten!!! The roast lamb was soooo tender and delicious. Two others had chicken meals which they were really pleased with. The staff are so lovely. Really engaged with us. They were so helpful and just lovely. Most definitely the best Sunday Lunch out in a very long time.

A welcome greeting with a smile, food/beer and service excellent. Would highly recommend to anyone who hasnt tried this it is a must visit .

Really disappointed, short staffed, my son’s Yorkshire pudding came out still frozen in the middle, mash was clearly microwave mash. We payed 12.50 for this packet ham egg and chips. My chicken was quite burnt. Really disappointed as we had high expectations
