Came in for dinner with my partner to celebrate our anniversary, Jaimi made us feel incredibly welcome and she was super friendly. My T-Bone was amazing and my wife’s Sea Bass looked amazing. P.S get the beef dripping.

Had a fantastic experience.Our steaks were amazing.Myself and my wife had the Butcher's block .No fat , cooked exactly how we asked and presented well.Our waitress Diane looked after us very well with no request a problem.Diane made us feel welcome and at home and did not rush us at anytime.We were unsure what to have and she explained everything on the menu in great detail and knowledge.Thank you.we will be visiting again .

Came to Miller & Carter with my family (party of 6) for my graduation dinner and all the staff made me feel very special and looked after us well! The food was delicious and was made very quickly. Drinks were great and our overall experience was 10/10 :) would definitely recommend coming here for any type of occasion and celebration. Special thanks go to Lucia our waitress, also Wendy and Rhiannon the managers, all of them made my celebration lovely and special.

Waited two hours for our mains, as we could see them sitting under the heat lamps for half hour. All the chips were rock hard and dry. The manager said it wasn't our food and when we said it was, she said it was because we ordered a well done steak. Very unprofessional and terrible customer service. 3 hours and only got to order desserts because we asked someone. Money was taken off the bill but you can't make up for a ruined 30th birthday dinner

Emily was a wonderful waitress so kind and friendly.

There was a warm welcome and we were quickly seated in a lovely building. We chose to eat mains only but was disappointed in the steaks. We had two of the 30 day sirloin steaks and they were unfortunately grizzly and not particularly flavoursome. We had been to another independent Chelmsford restaurant a few days earlier and the difference in steak quality was huge. The steaks were however cooked as requested, the meat quality was simply poor. We alao did have to ask for the bill whilst our main course was still on the table as we were sitting there for quite a while without having our table cleared. We won't be coming back anytime soon as we were disappointed, especially for the premium price point.

We booked 20 mins before as it was a last minute decision to go to Miller and Carter. I had asked for a cozy table for a small family reunion and the restaurant gave us the perfect table upstars. The restaurant was very beautiful, warm and welcoming. Staff were brilliant and incredibly accommodating, friendly, helpful, professional and polite from the minute we walked through the door and the food was superb!

Mackenzie was lovely and gave us lovely service when we came in. She was a pleasure all throughout our meal

Miller & Carter is a chain steakhouse restaurant and it shows. We went for a lunchtime and chose from the set price menu. Honestly, it was underwhelming. The calamari I had was good. Sometimes it can be a bit rubberbandy but not this time. So off to a good start. Then the steak a small peice of rump steak which was over cooked in my opinion for medium rare. With a handful of French fries. A quarter of a tomato, which looked like it had just run a marathon and a limp sprig of water cress apologetically hiding beneath the steak. Not to mention the battered 'onion loaf!? Honestly, just no. In all uninspiring. Then the dessert, as it is cheaper to have a mini dessert with coffee. Than it is to order just a coffee. This is what was plumped for and it duly arrived a tiny saucer of what pertained to be creme brulee. But was more like a gelatinous excuse for fluorescent custard. Washed down with a small cup of coffee. I suppose you get what you pay for and at £16.50 for the 3 courses it was quite reasonable for today's prices. The service was good and attentive. Access from the car park to the restaurant is good. Don't forget to enter your reg. number at reception or you will get a nasty surprise about a week later. In summary it was OK. Maybe try it later on when it may have more of a vibe and the full menu may give better options.

It was my girlfriend and my first time visiting a miller & carter. Our server Gabi was amazing. The food was amazing (girlfriend had steak, i had seabass. We had lobster tail, mac and cheese, and cheese mash for sides, multiple alcholic and non alcoholic drinks each, and desserts). Portions were plenty and we loved everything about it. Will definitely be going again. Looking to book a table of 18 for graduation next year 😊 Thank you Miller & Carter and thank you Gabi 😊

Very lovely service, very friendly and helpful. Brought over ice cream for my girlfriend’s birthday, very appreciated. Our waitress was Gabi :)

Not normally one to leave reviews but the food was lovely and that not even being the best part due to the service team especially Jodie who made this might much more enjoyable with friendly fast service and really created a good atmosphere at our table will be returning thanks for a lovely night!

Amazing food and extremely helpful staff

Went here recently and it took 2 hours for the main course to be served. Service was very poor. Six members of staff were gathered by the bar chatting and when someone did finally come over they smelt of cigarettes. People were having to go over to the bar in an attempt to pay as there was so little service to the tables. Pretty poor experience overall.

An excellent pub with a lovely atmosphere. The menu was really comprehensive with a great choice of foods. I have to say it was one of the best prepared steaks I have eaten.

Turned up. Said I was looking forward to having a Tomahawk steak. Only to be told they were out of them. So disappointed. Went to or our meals rather down. Ruined birthday. When arrived the waiter was all over the place, unfriendly, in constant rush although there were only few tables occupied during that time. Ordered starters, nibbles, mains and wine. No one talked us through steak options and experience. The waiter brought water, forgot about the wine. All starters came during different times which is strange. Still waited for the wine. Finally got it. When asked to change the places after startes for mains the waiter brought dirty plates, they were clearly NoT cleaned in a dishwasher. Ok, asked to replace. She brought even dirtier, with visible food stains… my sister went with these dishes to where all waiters were and asked to replace as this is unacceptable. After that we didn’t see our waiter again as she was replaced by a different one who actually tried to make us happy. Although she did a good job still the whole feeling and experience was ruined.

Had a lovely meal here on Friday. The restaurant is lovely, very nicely decorated. Food was great as always, the waitress Gaby was really helpful and knowledgeable, really friendly. All in all very worth a visit.
