The best restaurants in Chelmsford East of England

Staff were pleasant, prices are ok. They have live music quite often... It's just a shame it's a bit snug in there when a band is on. Obviously there's not a lot that can be done about that.

Nice friendly pub. Staff very welcoming and plenty of choice. Did not eat there so cant comment on food.

Maybe we were unlucky, we went there as we have seen show on TV in the past. Some wings tasted like they were cooked one day ago and reheated so many times that they dried completely. Unfortunately I cannot recommend.

Never disappointed at this lovely restaurant. Staff really go out of their way to make the experience delightful. The food is to an excellent standard and always lots of it. Would definitely recommend.

Most of the food was inedible, really disappointed as I usually always order from here! The spring rolls smelt rotten, the crispy beef had about four pieces of beef in it, the chicken balls was salty and the squid was even saltire! Poor!

We had a fabulous evening here! The staff were incredibly welcoming & friendly and the food was DIVINE!! Will absolutely be back again!

Great steak. Come here regularly. Served by Faye and Cecilia always super friendly. Favourite starter is sticky chicken.

Nice country pub but expensive! Has put me off going to pubs for a family meal at £100 for the 3 of us on a very quiet midweek early evening!

What an amazing experience. I took my sister here for a pamper day and it was just perfect. We had access to the gym for a workout, the bar area for a pot of tea, followed by a nice walk around the grounds. Then off to the pool, spa and both dry and wet sauna before going up to the restaurant for an absolutely exquisite 3 course lunch. After that, we were treated to a luxury facial to finish off the wonderful sisters day! I will definitely be going back!
