New Town in Chelmsford

Most of the food was inedible, really disappointed as I usually always order from here! The spring rolls smelt rotten, the crispy beef had about four pieces of beef in it, the chicken balls was salty and the squid was even saltire! Poor!

The food was so fast for delivery. One of our dishes was lacking meat only had the smallest amount in.

Good arrived Luke warm. Polystyrene is not a good friend of transporting Chinese food. Duck was very Over cooked, Very disappointed.

The food was cold, the seaweed and chow mein were so greasy, the only good thing about todays order was the collection time was so quick.

Terrible meal, the chicken chow Mein tasted like burnt oil, the omelette seemed to be missing from the chicken omelette it was just rubber chicken the chips where rock hard. Prawn crackers where not edible. Very unpleasant and will not be returning.

Food was atrocious. Tasted and looked appalling, was Luke warm at best, first and last time. Stay clear and save your money, pot noodle is better qualify and a 20th of the cost.

Disappointed that one dish was missing. BBQ spare ribs. Didn’t realise till the next day as we didn’t eat everything straight away.

Absolutely awful customer service and rude staff (Delivery driver was very polite) however lady over the phone very rude and no manners. Ordered food and turned up with a dish missing in which by the time it arrived rest of the food was cold. The satay chicken does not remotely taste like It should, with a black bean sauce kind of taste which is not how it should be. Crispy chilli beef not even crispy, green curry the chicken is soggy and not how it should taste. All in all awful experience and this is definitely one to stay clear of. Lady over the phone has no customer service skills extremely rude not even apologetic in any way for the terrible food. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

Arrived hot, food was really nice,would use again.

Honestly, this food was terrible. The sweet and sour sauce was odd, tasted so sweet, more like an artificial strawberry sauce. The ribs were just gristle, impossible to eat. The duck was nice but the sauce was terrible, vegetables were dry. Satay sauce was bad, chicken balls/prawns were cooked fine but without a decent sauce were dry and plain. The chips were basic and cold. Curry sauce was thin and tasted powdery. Really just all around terrible and inedible. Learned my lesson never to order from here again.

They rang me up and said we was to far away and cancelled my order which is very frustrating when you are trying to order for a young person with autism

Lovely food and generous portions plus it was delivered in about 12 minutes.

The food was terrible, cold and we collected... this was nothing like anything I have tasted. Pancake rolls where more like half filled veg in a lot of deep fried pastry, no beansprouts etc like a normal one. The chilli beef was not chilli or crispy, sauce resembled sweet and sour. Chilli Salt Chips where soggy however, although very greasy the chicken balls was a generous serving and not chewy and enjoyable, alike the Special Fried Rice. Chow Mein had no flavour, was cold and had a strange texture. Service in the establishment was fine and quick.

Had a takeaway from here in the week for the first time in ages. Was really lovely, freshly cooked and very tasty. Thank You!

Bang on for delivery time. Curry sauce was spot on (lots of places make it too thin). Singapore noodles could have been spicier but apart from that, would recommend.

Really disappointed with this! Very overpriced and we thought food was poor quality, cold and actually questioned if it was cooked properly or just a really poor cut of meat. Won't be ordering again. Did not use restaurant service so cannot rate.

Food hadn't arrived 30mins after expected, they called saying there wasn't a driver so can I collect it otherwise I'd have to wait a further hour for my food to be delivered. Probably best to ring to make sure there's a delivery driver available otherwise there's a chance you'll have to collect it yourselves.

new town said they had delivered at 19:40 but it was 8pm and still no sign of our food. we had to ring them & they said they would send another driver out so who knows. what time we will get our food...

My partner really liked the special rice with sauce but the chicken satay was rubbery and I couldn't even eat the Thai green curry, the texture of the chicken was horrible and the sauce was awful.

Just got a take away. The food was very goood and tasty....will use again Price felt right asdidthe speedy to cook.

This was not delivered. Please refund the money immediately. They kept us waiting for 2 hours then suggested we wait another hour as they had no driver. Complete farce.

Food was ordered at 19:20 & selected to be delivered at 20:15. However took them until 20:50 to deliver & when we received the meals they were cold & one of the dishes was completely wrong. Very disappointing, will be trying somewhere else next time.

Driver asked for £3 for delivery on top of the £36 I paid. Had to root around the house to find change. Whilst the food got cold. Called the restaurant to complain about the £3 charge, manager refused to spk to me and woman that answered explained they have to add £3 to each meal to cover just eat fees and they remove the free prawn crackers too for all just eat orders.

Me gusta la comida china. Aunque a veces se puede llevar chino, un desastre gloopy comer durante 5 minutos y su relleno, sólo para tener hambre de nuevo unas horas más tarde. Nueva Ciudad aunque parece siempre a hacer una comida para llevar muy bien. He tenido varias ahora y la consistencia es buena, es mi elección de China y es en Woodham convirtiendo en mi elección de comida para llevar.Buen trabajo Nueva Ciudad!

Never delivered. I ordered at 6ish, for a delivery time of 7.40, then got a phone call at 7.33 to say can I pick it up. When I said no I was told delivery would be 8.30 at least. When I said would it be later they did yes and that they would cancel the order. It's now showing as delivered in the app so I've been charged for a meal I've never got. Avoid

Food was really tasty and delivered very quickly.. However unfortunately they forgot part of the order so we had to phone up and then wait for the rest of it, so the first lot was going cold by the time the rest came.

Waited 30 minutes past the delivery time and called restaurant to be told they hadn't left as we was outside the delivery zone and would have to pay an extra 4 pounds delivery! When I said okay how long they advised 45mins which meant 1h 45m after ordering the food would arrive

Food ok, Spent £30 odd on a Wednesday so I think that's quite a quiet evening. I clicked delivery then got a phone call saying it will be £3 extra if I want delievery and I'll have to pay the driver. The lady said within the food options you must choose delivery and add it so just be careful of that.'We agreed to this as had already paid for the food then waited over an hour for delivery.

Sadly won't be ordering again, everything incredibly greasy and most went in the bin.

Delivered over 45 minutes before the time given which was good but meant that we had no idea how long it will take next time.

Food arrived piping hot. I asked for the satay sauce to be made without chilli. I unpacked the food and the chicken satay was covered in sauce as opposed to the sauce being sent in a seperate pot. Sauce contained chilli so couldn't eat it. Item doesn't have a chili symbol next to it so presumed it wouldn't be made with it in but sent a message just incase but it was ignored.

Visitamos hoy y compré una cena para uno: Pollo, huevo arroz chop suey" al platillo y bolas de cerdo frito, dulce y amarga. Señora amable en recepción me recibió bien, y el dispositivo fue rápido. En llegar a casa y abrir mi comida, la buena noticia es que había un montón de comida, probablemente suficiente para alimentar a dos personas cómodamente. El lado malo es que pusieron las chuletas estaban aguados y juicey suey" al platillo en la misma bañera de plástico como el arroz, que se tradujo en un desorden pegajoso y resultó ser para adelgazar en mi plato. No puedo describir el sabor y la calidad de cada plato para ser honesto, el mezclado de textura fue tan desagradable que sólo comí algunas cucharadas antes de todo en la tiró la papelera. Me gustaría intentarlo de nuevo, pero sin duda recuerda a pedir las tres recetas diferentes en recipientes separados, así que no tienes un tazón de tanto asimétrico; 'nuevo. La comida probablemente sería bueno entonces. Volveré después de que ocurre un informe...

Our favourite local chinese. Haven't found anywhere that can beat their Crispy Chilli Beef. Great service if you visit in person too!
