The pad Thai is something else, always come back every time I visit Chelmsford. The service is outstanding, Jay is really cool and attentive. The location is exceptional. A great place not no be missed.

I recently dined at Banana Tree in Chelmsford, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was vibrant yet cozy, making it a perfect spot for a casual night out. The food was fantastic, with authentic Southeast Asian flavors that were both rich and fresh. The crispy prawns and spicy noodles were definite highlights, bursting with flavor. A special mention goes to our wonderful waitresses, Angy and Stef. They were attentive, friendly, and genuinely invested in making sure we had a great dining experience. They guided us through the menu, recommended dishes based on our preferences, and were quick with refills and checking in at just the right moments. Their warm personalities made the evening feel personal and enjoyable. Overall, Banana Tree is a gem in Chelmsford. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a tasty and memorable meal with excellent service. Thanks again to Angy and Stef for making our visit extra special.

Lovely food. Lovely team. If you haven't tried it yet you area missing out... One vegan and one vegetarian in the family (alongside traditional meat eaters :)) and we were all catered for. It was amazing! Went for an anniversary as an experiment - and it's our new special events dinner place :)

This place has been my go to for good vegan options. Katsu curry and blacken monk noodles are my favourite. Livio was a great waiter when I visited. He was attentive, warm, charming and excellent communication.

The food was absolutely delicious—every dish was bursting with flavor, and the variety was perfect for both kids and adults alike. A special shoutout to Liviu and Stefania, who went above and beyond to make the celebration extra special. Their super friendly service made us feel right at home, and they were so attentive throughout the meal, ensuring everything ran smoothly. Always love banana tree, last night we had a date night here and had excellent service from Daisy. She was very personable & helped us move tables when we originally sat ourselves next to a big group which ended up being too loud, she was lovely The food was amazing quality as always! The only thing I was surprised by was my duck wasn't cut up like it usually is when I order that dish. I'm not sure if it's changed or if it was an error, either way it was different, but still tasted amazing after cutting up!

Date: 30 Aug 2024 Time: 20:00 Approx* Catherine (Cati) greeted us at the door with a warm smile and a friendly, approachable attitude. She quickly seated us, explained the current deals, and gave us plenty of time to decide on our order. Despite the restaurant being quite busy, she efficiently managed to serve all the customers. After taking our order, Cati submitted it and we waited for our drinks. Although the drinks took a while to arrive, Cati apologised sincerely and as a gesture of goodwill, she even provided us with complimentary drinks to make up for the mix-up. It was evident that Cati was highly skilled at her job, consistently going above and beyond for her customers. Not only was she attentive to those she was serving, but she also helped with drink preparations and even assisted in the kitchen when needed.

Had a nice afternoon meal here on a Saturday, food was all good, had 3 cocktails on the 2 for 1 deal and they were very tasty. Service was also good, hadn't been here for a while so it was nice to come back.

Outside dining on a Wednesday evening. Lovely food and the staff are amazing. Cat and Jay superb service.

This is quite disappointing as I visited this place with my family yesterday and ended up today with food poisoning! Feel gutted! The chicken was horrible, pre cooked food defeats the purpose of visiting! However the waitress was very nice and helpful

Love the vegan Laksa soup, and the service is so friendly. I pop in here often by myself for lunch, and also feel equally welcome when I come with my three year old who loves their noodles and chicken. The service is quick, however I never feel rushed and always feel welcome. Thanks Stefania 😊

Very Over rated. Small portions of food for a high price. Cocktails were weak & watery. Atmosphere was like sitting in a warehouse, wooden tables & seat, no cushions, service was slow, & they added a 10% service charge without us knowing..... No, I wouldn't go again
