The staff are always friendly and welcoming. The menu has a fantastic range suitable for the whole family. Catering to meat eaters and vegans brilliantly.

Visited Banana Tree this week meeting a friend for dinner. What a fab place! Lovely, friendly staff, brilliant menu with loads of vegetarian and vegan options! The food was delicious, with a nice relaxed service. Would recommend to others and would definitely go again! Yum!

Busy evening, ordered drinks, which after 20 minutes had to ask where our drinks were. Kids were not given menus Our starters came out first even though asked for it all to be brought out at the same time. Manager said mains would be 2 seconds (highly doubted) took another 10 minutes to come out. Rice was clumpy. Again had to ask for table to be cleared and if we could have dessert menu. By this time restaurant was nearly empty other than 2 other tables. 2 desserts ordered took another 25 minutes to receive. Service was shocking in our opinion. Shame as the service let down the evening, as the food was ok. Not in a hurry to go back

Our first time at Banana Tree, served by the wonderful Cat. She talked me through the menu and recommended a few dishes. The dishes she recommended were phenomenal. The service was amazing. Thank you for being our server today. We will see you all soon.

We got absolutely amazing service from Daisy, she was so lovely and done a great job of being our waitress. I would give her 10/10 and I would come back again because of the food/the service. Big thank you to Daisy :) x

Lovely experience, food and drink was 10 out of 10. Stef and Jay gave me and my friends great recommendations for cocktails. Will be coming back just for them.

Had a really good meal here at the weekend- we ordered 5 different mains and each dish was very fresh and tasty and got great reviews from the others I was with. Highly recommend the grilled blackened chilli beef! Staff were also super accommodating for one of my friends who had a myriad of allergies but the chef and wait staff managed to work together to food something that worked for them too! Impressive!

Everything was 10/10. Food was very much too my taste. I had pad Thai and I'm not overacting when I say it was the best one I had. Also the atmosphere was a very nice relaxing place only thing missing was jazz music but that's not a big problem. Saving the best for the last was the service, I was shown options and deals that was very cost effective. She always had a smile on her face and was very friendly, which boosted the atmosphere for me. Thanks Daisy and Bananatree I'll be sure to come again. Edit: So I've been coming here for months now and the service is still perfect. I would gatekeep but that won't be fair. I really like Bananatree. I really don't know what else to say but this place is now firmly established for me. Thanks to Jay, every thing from choosing and ordering feels like a breeze. Thanks to the chef and everyone for making this my firmly established restaurant in chelmsford. I do come here a lot now.

Is been a while since I last visited this place. came back on Mother's day and everyone enjoyed it! That amazing Laksa soup never fails. And the treat we received at the end...made my day! The banana frotiteroles is a must! Stefania, Liviu and Daisy all were amazing and made sure we had everything we needed even if it looked a bit busy the place!

Me and my family went here for my Mother’s Day and I am really happy for with the service and the food as well. I loved the guy who served us, his name was Liviu. X

It was quiet so we had great attentive service from Daisy. As vegans we found plenty of choice. Only thing I would have liked is more authethic vegan dishes without the use of tofu or soya/seitan. Overall it was a very enjoyable experience and if in Chelmsford again we may go back.

I used to love this place but the prices skyrocketed and now there is a high service charge on the bill that I just don't want to pay out of principle...

My family and I had a lovely dinner at Banana Tree Chelmsford tonight. We were looking for a place that offered exotic and flavorful dishes and we were not disappointed. The restaurant is located in High Chelmer Shopping Mall, which was convenient for us. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, with tropical decorations. We ordered a variety of dishes to share, such as the crispy chicken in mango sauce, the laksa soup, the rendang curry, ramen and the chicken massaman. Everything was delicious and well-presented, with generous portions and fresh ingredients. The flavors were authentic and balanced, with a nice mix of spicy, sweet, sour, and savory. We especially enjoyed the laksa soup, which was rich and creamy, with tender chicken and noodles. The service was also excellent. Our servers, Daisy and Jay, were friendly and attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. They were very patient with our teenage children, who had a lot of questions and requests. We would definitely recommend Banana Tree Chelmsford to anyone looking for a great place for a family dinner. The food is amazing, the service is friendly and the price is reasonable. We will be back soon to try more dishes from their menu.

Bottomless was really nice. I didn’t even know they offered a bottomless but we got an amazing service with cocktails with a full sized meal! Pad Thai was really nice and service was great. Really had value for money!

I recently had an outstanding dining experience at your restaurant. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting. The decor was tasteful, creating a comfortable atmosphere. Our server, Daisy, played a crucial role in making it memorable. She was not only attentive but also exceptionally knowledgeable about the menu. Daisy recommended dishes that I could have due to my mushroom intolerance.

Authentic food made by chefs who care where request are accommodated. It’s a chain restaurant that hasn’t diluted its quality. Thank you Steffania for serving us and your understanding, service and humour. The Vegan Ramen along with the Vegan Satay… wow!!! Amazing! If you’re plant based, you’ve got to get here. The best food in town and great options for kids.

Food was nice. Service wasn’t great. Waiting 35 mins for our first drink and having to chase was frustrating! Disappointed when I arrived to learn that they were cashless. I checked the website first and couldn’t find any reference to this. They also don’t accent Amex which is annoying as that is my preferred payment method after cash. If you are going to be card only please ensure you accept them all.

First time here and certainly won't be the last. The vegan choices were amazing. Everything was freshly cooked and the service was amazing. Just looking at the pictures again makes me wanting to have it all over again. Highly recommended place for vegan and non vegan.

Came here tonight for my daughter’s bday. Although booked had to wait for a table to be set up and then kept waiting ages to get offered a drink. Food was nice and tasty but very slow service and not offered another drink at all during our meal. Staff not attentive at all and spent more time setting up other tables or on there phone. Then put 10% on the bill for service which you feel obliged to pay. Not sure I’ll be back first and last!!

This is the one of the best restaurants I have been to. It was delicious and I was greeted straight away by Oana who made us extremely welcome straight away and was served by the lovely Daisy. Great attention to detail from all staff.
