Omg the insult!! Food was ok (spices) arrived cold but look what they sent us as bonus!! Bloody insulting 3 prawn crackers!! £50 pounds for a bang average tasteless meal and an envelope with 3 prawn crackers! Last time never again

Wanted somewhere for lunch with the kids (adult kids) that would also be suitable for the vegan in our party and what a great choice it turned out to be. Being the old fuddy duddy in the group i'd never eaten this type of food before and I've missed out. Excellent food, great staff, our initial server Stefania (I hope I've got your name right) was superb as were the rest of the staff that served us, she tells you about the service charge on the bill and that if you wish you can remove it. Don't be tight people and show your appreciation for great staff. Highly recommended. Am already looking forward to my next visit.

Was lovely. Katsu curry satay skewers massam curry pad Thai (best ive had in a while and not enough of it) all tasted lovely. Service was good Stefania was lovely and attentive. Very quiet but we were eating at 4pm on a weekday so expected it to be very quiet . I'm sure the evening s and weekends are alot busier. All in all we would love to come back another day

I went there with my friends and family. The waiters were very welcoming and Alexandre took our orders and was very attentive to our wishes and questions. We had a lovely chat while waiting for our food. I highly recommend it

We cannot fault anything we've had here so far and believe me when i say we are working down the menu. Really tasty and fresh food. We have the papaya salad every visit. Cocktails are good too esp as BOGOF Staff are really lovely, atmosphere is good I think but we were too busy eating our food to ever notice 😀

Service from Liv was lovely. Lemak curry was advertised as a mild curry but was spicy. Vegetarian Ramen, bang bang broccoli, and salt and chilli chips were great!

Came here 2 days on the trot. Had the Pad Thai one day and the Penang Curry the second. Both meals were very tasty and served by friendly and helpful staff. The Bang Bang Brocolli starter was particularly great. Will absolutely be back to try the Ramen as that looked lovely too.

Great little place served by step and angry and they were so friendly attentive and helpful and made our visit special - the food is fresh reasonable portions with an average price per head for two courses with drink of about £28 ahead - location is good and parking is near by well worth the visit

Went to Banana Tree for our staff xmas meal as a party of 17. We were seated on the two large tables in the middle of the restaurant, plenty of space for all of us to move around comfortably. The food was absolutely delicious, all of my colleagues were very pleased. I ordered the vegan sharing platter, vegan katsu curry and mango sorbet on their festive menu. All 3 dishes were good portion sizes, and perfect temperature and taste. My party's dishes all came out very closely together so there was very little wait for us to enjoy our food together. The service was also great - very friendly, chatty and helpful staff. Overall very happy with my experience before Christmas. I've been to Banana Tree Chelmsford many times and I'll continue to do so in the future

Daisy and Stephania were great and looked after our table and especially my young daughter who even had a trip to the kitchen to meet the chefs. The food was great too. Some good vegan options.

A recent visit visit with family, food was underwhelming saved by excellent service. My Ramen was luke warm & papaya salad had zero flavour. The food was average, however to add balance children ate for free and mocktails were 2 for 1. So great offers. The staff were fun and attentive.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Banana Tree in Chelmsford for lunchwith my family (inc 2 teenage children) and it was an excellent experience. Our servers, Jay and Stefania, were outstanding in their attentiveness and hospitality, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our meal. We sampled dishes from the lunch menu, including Pad Thai, Thai Green Curry, and Singapore Laksa. Each dish was a delight, bursting with authentic flavors and fresh ingredients that transported our taste buds straight to Southeast Asia. The Pad Thai was perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of sweetness and tang. The Thai Green Curry had a wonderful creamy texture and a perfect hint of spice, while the Singapore Laksa was rich and fragrant, a real standout. My husband got called away last minute but we were able to put his dinner in a takeaway box and they were really helpful and understanding. The atmosphere at Banana Tree was inviting and lively, making it a great spot for a casual lunch. Overall, we had a fantastic dining experience, and I would highly recommend Banana Tree to anyone looking for delicious Southeast Asian cuisine in Chelmsford.

Great food and even better service 10/10 All staff were very attentive and professional special mention to Flountina for outstanding service. One big negative for this restaurant is the continuing banging from the bowling alley which is directly above the restaurant. Definitely needs some sound proofing 😊

Just had my first Banana Tree, delivered via Deliveroo. Apart from some of the dishes losing heat on delivery, everything was absolutely out of this world, the flavours, the quantity, absolutely stunning.

We’ve been to banana tree a number of times and they have consistently offered a high standard of food and service. This time especially Jay and Stefania were excellent and were very conversational and were always there to help our every need. The experience was great and would highly recommend to anyone else and will be back again soon.

Food is always beautiful here! Atmosphere was really chilled. Staff friendly and attentive, took a little while to take our order but was busy so a minor issue. Any delays with food (which weren’t really delays!) were communicated by staff (special shout out to Guri! Couldn’t have been more friendly and attentive if he tried!) Drinks great, food amazing and beautifully presented. Have been a few times and will definitely go again!

Sometimes you can be put off by multiple types of food at chains but The BT Chelmsford is great. Jay and Daisy are exceptional at service and making you feel welcome and the food is very authentic and doesn't have that mass produced feel that some of the other chains do Watching it being prepared is great to see and the chefs take their time to get the flavours right Keep it up guys!!

Lovely place for lunch. Veg oodle dish tasted great and plenty of veg, in many other places, if you order vegetable noodles it's mostly just noodles. Kids meal free. Not just nuggets and chips, he had kids ramen and it was lovely. Service very good!

Food was yummy I had the pad thai, great flavour. The Teriyaki steak soba was amazing , steak so tender and cooked perfectly , just slightly pink in the middle, we also tried the Thai Railway Fried Rice, a big plate of food that we ate between 2 in the end , it packed a real punch in terms of a great build up of heat in your mouth. We also had an old staple a Ramen , which slurped down easily , a good balance of flavour and a good sized portion
