Mostly fantastic, food was fresh and tasty and good value for money, service can't be faulted. Unfortunately seating was sticky and not very comfortable.

Lots of staff, lots of tables but struggled to see if we could come in to eat…. Told we couldn’t order a Sunday roast but could order from the bar menu, ordered, food came and it was a little on the poor side, not what I’ve seen in the photos from Google…. Asked at time of ordering if the cheese baguette came with pickle or anything else? (Not just cheese) was told yes…. Well it was just cheese with a little side salad - then it came to paying our bill… was told to go to the bar to pay… wasn’t shown a receipt and just given the card machine to pay, paid, got given the receipt ( thank god) and left restaurant got down the road then looked at receipt, realised we had been charged for an extra meal and the full price for fries when it should have been an add on price - turned around, went back to pub and had to ask for a refund- staff were saying Millie should have taken that off, she was told to do that… turns out Mille was the one we paid…. Feel a little taken advantage of… Millie also didn’t seem to care just walked off and said ” oh sorry “ with no explanation to why we were charged for a whole extra meal… won’t be returning I’m afraid.
Unfortunately we had a very bad experience at Queenies. My friends and I had booked a table only to be told after sitting (and only half of us ordering drinks) that they were too busy so we're putting a hold on both food and drinks orders for an unknown amount of time - the other half of the table were not allowed to order drinks either. We had an extremely long wait before taking our food order (40mins) and then another long wait for the actual food to arrive which all came out separately -two of us had almost finished eating before the rest of the meals came out. Then we were given 3 forks and one knife for 6 of us! We had to ask three times for more cutlery. They asked if we wanted sauces but we weren't given the mayo until we had almost finished so it was pointless even bringing it by that point (and this was after we asked again for it).
Allergen wise, the place was shocking. I do not eat meat, yet found a bit bacon or ham in my meal. I fed back to the chef but wasn't given an apology. One member of our party was vegan - the menu has zero vegan options. She had to ask 4 times for the menu items to be checked after they tried to substitute her with a vegetarian sausage (which was not vegan). The bill was also incorrect. The food was actually nice when it arrived, hence the two stars. Everything else was sadly a shambles and we won't be returning.
I visited with my family for a birthday dinner, and unfortunately, the service was not up to the standard we usually receive here. We were the only table in the restaurant, yet our waitress (a blonde lady) seemed more interested in her phone than attending to us.
When our mains arrived, our glasses were empty, but she didn’t ask if we wanted more drinks, missing an opportunity to sell a bottle of wine. Additionally, she didn’t check back a few minutes later to ensure everything was okay with our food, which is a pretty standard part of good service.
The food itself was as nice as usual, but three of the meals were served on cold glass plates, causing the food to also go cold quickly. This was a small but noticeable detail.
On our way out, my mum politely shared her disappointment about the service, hoping it could be taken as constructive feedback. Unfortunately, rather than apologizing or addressing the feedback professionally, the waitress made a disrespectful face at her colleague behind the bar (who normally does serve) as soon as my mum turned away. This lack of professionalism aggravated me and prompted me to write this review.
This has always been a local place we’ve enjoyed, but tonight’s service was far from what we’ve experienced before. If more attention was paid to customer service, the restaurant might not be so empty on a Thursday night.

Staff were pleasant, prices are ok.
They have live music quite often...
It's just a shame it's a bit snug in there when a band is on. Obviously there's not a lot that can be done about that.
Came here for a Groupon afternoon tea. Lovely old building. The staff were friendly. Sandwiches and cake good quality. But wasn't impressed with the mug of hot water with a teabag. Afternoon tea should always be a teapot and cups and saucers.
Exceptional service by Sara!! Very friendly and great ambiance of the place is great as well!
First time here and recommend any and everyone to pass By!!
I had the best experience today at this Subway, I decided to order a sub of the subway series menu and I can’t remember precisely what sub it was but oh my god was it delicious. Overall I had an amazing experience!
Awesome chicken. Great flavours. Love the Cajun chips. More so than the wingstop fries which are slightly sweet.
Good value for money and you will be leaving full up if you take the meal with 3 different flavours and types of chicken.
One of my new favourite restaurants.
Had an amazing scooter meet here the staff were so friendly and helpful really made us all feel welcome they went above and beyond and the food is amazing
As a customer that was always in shwings when they had a restaurant on new london rd, I’m so so so disappointed on the new location, service, and the standard of food. Me and my partner decided to have shwings because we hadnt had it since they shut the restaurant, we was very let down by the whole experience and definitely wont be returning which is really annoying as we enjoyed it so much at the restaurant.
The food was served on paper plates/bowls, we got given wooden forks, and the quality of the food wasnt up to the standards we’ve previously experienced with shwings.
The location is not great either as its a bar/club and frequently visted by the homeless which makes an unpleasant atmosphere while eating.
This used to be a restaurant you could take the family or be with friends and would have a lovely meal, great experience every single time. Now I definitely wouldn’t recommend for anyone with children or even a meal with friends.
Overall a very disappointing experience and so sad.
