Nice food and even better service.

Our first visit to the Lantern House. We received a warm welcome and were quickly seated in the main restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious and of high quality. We had a large variety of different dishes including the mixed vegetarian starter platter (this included bean curd, tempura vegetables, spring rolls and seaweed), crispy prawn dumplings, chilli salt squid (really tender), black pepper sizzling lamb (absolutely delicious) sweet and sour pork and various rice and noodle dishes. Portion sizes were very good and there was plenty to take home for a midnight snack / next day treat. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout the night and made us feel very welcome. We will definately be back in 2025. Highly recommended!

Friendly pub that’s recently had a refurb. Great for sport!

Absolutely amazing food, the ribs in particular were some of the best I have ever tried and really reasonably priced. The service was amazing and the ambience in the restaurant was perfect, definitely recommend!

Another level medispa are a brilliant team they were friendly and professional.. I got given the best skin treatment package to target my problem areas well...I would highly recommend this clinic where the service is great..

I used to love the Sunday roast but something has changed. Smaller portions, fewer vegetables, and having to pay for cauliflower cheese is not value for money. Things change so maybe I will try somewhere else.

Did for a works do, was brilliant and happily competitive, Garen served us and was a brilliant sport!

Slow service staff not really interested in serving customers not much wine selection or fruit drinks if one of you does not want to drink as driving

We went to the 90s bottomless brunch. We were given one frozen daiquiri for a table of 4. We were given a tiny portion of food and it took one of our friends to receive her food an hour after the other 3 of us got ours. Music was great and the atmosphere was fun but not worth £45 per person

Omg what a delightful pub, beautiful decorated inside. A little gem in stock! Food was outstanding, staff were full on! A beautiful fire sets a warm welcoming with an outstanding xmas tree when you walk in. We had the salmon starter which was lovely and fresh. I had the lamb rump which was cooked to perfection loved the red cabbage. Hubby had the steak & ale pie. Sorry didn’t take photos as we was amazed by the decorations. Apparently they change them every few months for each celebrations & seasons what a wonderful idea can’t wait to go back for more on the menu. Roll on Valentine’s ❤️❤️ Hubby we need to book! Thank you all at the ship for a wonderful afternoon.

I first visited for Sunday lunch, and it was absolutely delightful. The beef was perfectly tender, accompanied by fresh, flavorful vegetables and roast potatoes that tasted just like my mum's! The staff were warm, friendly, and provided service with a genuine smile. It was such a great experience that, in the words of Arnie, "I’ll be back!" And I did return—this time for a musical bingo night. What an incredible evening! The atmosphere was buzzing, the event was brilliantly organized, and everyone seemed to be having a blast. It’s not just a place for a great meal but also for fun and memorable experiences. Highly recommend this gem, whether you're after a delicious meal or a fantastic night out!

Excellent Indian and Thai food—I favour tandoori chops and pad thai. They also offer a good selection of drinks and cocktails and fantastic entertainment.

Very friendly and accommodating .

Went for an impromptu Sunday lunch. Great atmosphere staff friendly food really nice mostly home made. All you can eat carvery and you can goup for more meat as well as the veg.
