Mosaics is easily one of the best Turkish restaurants in Chelmsford! The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The mixed grill was a highlight, with tender, well-seasoned meats, sabe for the seafood, and the meze/starter selection was just as impressive. The service was excellent; the staff were attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a great place for both casual meals and special occasions. Overall, a fantastic experience, and I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!

It was Mothers Day so decided to take my wife and 1 year old for lunch to celebrate. We was served by a very young waitress (They’re all young girls), who was very pleasant and polite. She took our order from drink, starters and mains. After finishing our starters, she asked if we had ordered mains - slightly confused about the question seeing as she took our order however, we assumed she meant had we asked for the mains following us finishing our starters. After around 20 minutes, a lady who seemed to be a manager, approached us and asked if everything was ok and if we wanted to order anything else or pay. Once again, sitting there confused, we mentioned that we had already ordered mains and was waiting for these to be brought out (30 minutes later). Once it became obvious that for some reason the nice young waitress didn’t put our order through and therefore the mains was not being made, the manager then mentioned that it would take approximately 30 minutes for our mains to be made. Due to this and due to the fact our 1 year old had started to become aggravated , we decided to leave this and asked to pay. The young waitress was incredibly apologetic and even offered us a free drink for the mix up and informed us we will only be paying for the drinks and not the starters (That came to approx £16). We didn’t take her up on the free drink but assured her that this mistake it wasn’t a problem and indeed these things can happen! However, after paying for the drinks and waiting for a box to take home our remaining starters - another staff member came over aggressively, asking us to confirm our order and then informed us that the mains did indeed get put through, despite two staff members stating they hadn’t! When he then said about paying, we mention that we had and he said - “No, that was only the drinks and you still require to pay for the starters. Simple”. Somewhat taken aback, I queried once again what had happened and why is the staff member whose name I was told was Sueb (pronounced Su-Eb?), being so rude about the situation. He then stormed off and was never seen again. Furthermore, this was also the same person who informed another customer of wrong ingredients in a dish having to result in the said customer seeking advice from another 3 waiters as he clearly couldn’t be trusted and clearly lied on the spot to appease the customer. So, we finished our Mothers Day Meal with only starters, a hungry family and felt left being upset over such an abrupt waiter. We had multiple issues booking too so with them issues along side the experience in the restaurant, I would firmly stay away from this restaurant and eat in much better establishments in Chelmsford. I had read news articles about this restaurant closing due to exploiting staff and young workers and sadly it appears the rumours are true.

I ordered from here before, the food was lovely. So I went again. This time the order 30 mins later than estimated with no updates from either the restaurant or the delivery person. The food was cold, spent another 20 mins warming it up again.

Me and my partner went here last night and was absolutely appalled by the service we got. We were seated without menu's and were waiting 30 mins until we got any. Then my starter was chucked onto the table resulting my food to fall on my lap. The main was disgusting. The lamb was fatty and was not ediable whatsoever. The service was absolutely disgraceful our food was mixed up multiple times and we were wiating for so long. The service was really bad and so was the food. Food was not presentable at all. We will not be returning to Mosaic. Really disappointed.

This restaurant accepted order deliveroo and then failed to deliver apparently because there is no driver and then they refused to cancel the order from their end. What kind of BS is that? Waste of time and energy.

Tonight we went for my 40th birthday and it was ate first time going and it will definitely not be our last, food was fantastic, service was excellent, restaurant was very clean and welcoming, staff smiling was made to feel very relaxed, thank you for a beautiful dinner out! See you soon!

Had a Baklava and a cup of Turkish tea as takeaway......... Lovely staff,helped all the way in making our dessert craving possible at last hours...... Kids were offered sweets took what a lovely gesture...... Shall try whole meal next time

Went there for Christmas lunch with family and friends (a group of 7 of us). The staff were friendly, the food was great and the VfM was second to none. The real mark of a great (rather than good) restaurant, though, is not when everything goes right... but if something goes awry and how the staff and management deal with it. In our case, some of us had pre-ordered (because of dietary requirements) and the rest had not, as a result of which there were some delays and mix-ups. The management and staff dealt with everything quickly, apologetically and smoothly and even lubricated us with complimentary drinks whilst the mix-up was sorted out. As a result we still all had our (correct) meals together and a great Christmas lunch, which is why I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Not our first visit and won't be our last. There are lots of places to get good Turkish food (and this is definitely one of them!) but not nearly as many where you are served by true hospitality professionals!

Not great being honest. It didn't help as it was empty. Fixed £40 3 course menu which we didn't realise. (Through Dec) Starter and main were average and desserts very limited. Only 2 to choose from. The other 2 had 'ran' out. Although empty we ordered 2 x coffees and 'they forgot' over £40 a head, in reality at best £25...

Tasty, varied Christmas menu. Generous portions. Food served hot and fresh. Pleasant ambiance. Reasonably priced

Not been here before, we enjoyed a really nice meal, service can be a little slow especially as it wasn't busy, but food was nice and the staff are really friendly. Would definitely recommend a visit.

I live in Chelmsford and have been to this restaurant many times the food was of absolute poor quality I have photos to show. The delivery arrived within 30m of order and the restaurant is a 10m drive to my address yet the food was not even fresh let alone Luke warm. I had to reheat it in the oven . Not knowing how many times the rice had been cooked & you can only reheat rice once. The starters were poor quality especially the calamari I have photos it just fell apart. Food was bland.

We came here for my son birthday 15/12/2009 and they were so good food , service, atmosphere… I would highly recommend this place .

With my colleagues we went for Christmas dinner and it was a catastrophe. Food you can’t eat served very late and bit by bit frozen dessert all what they wanted is to get you more drinks it was horrible evening and expensive £40 . Mozacaotic

We really enjoyed this restaurant, food was amazing so much variety to cater for everyone, service was really friendly and the waitresses really took care of us, made my sons 16th alot of fun too. Cleanliness and hygiene 5*, ambient was lively, the only minor negative is how warm the restaurant can get from the stone baked oven, don't dress to warm, it will make you uncomfortable. Would 100% return. Everything else was perfect!

Visited this restaurant with my ice hockey team before a game. Food was great, service good and quite funny😂. Nicely decorated venue as well.

The staff are wonderful, the restaurant is welcoming but the food was let down by the lack of seasoning, the kleftiko was literally lamb shank with bisto gravy, potato and carrot, no seasoning at all which is not a traditional kleftiko. The mosaic mixed grill was unseasoned and lacked the flavours of this traditional dish. The salads had no dressing and again lacked flavour. Such a shame the seasoning was lacking in all dishes because we couldn’t fault the restaurant apart from that.

Great menu choices and large portions. Lamb shank (Kleftiko) was as good as it gets and service was good. Friend would also recommend the liver starter. Well worth a short walk from the town centre.

One of the best Turkish restaurant in the Chelmsford i have been. They have started Italian pizza that is one of the best pizza i have eaten. I surely recommend you people to go eat in and do delivery as well. The atmosphere is very good and the staff is very friendly. Mr Murat is one the best person in the Staff.

The food is excellent. Hot, tasty and colourful dishes. There are quiet areas to sit at rhe front and more noisy towards the back. The staff are very attentive and the food is delicious. Great value for money

Went for the first time last night. The restaurant is lovely, staff are also great. The food was ok, we didn't get everything we ordered and although we reminded the person bringing our food it never came. Cocktails are delicious and it was busy with a lovely vibe.

Midweek birthday meal with family. Lovely food and attentive service. Reasonably priced. The baklava was incredible! Singing happy birthday was a nice touch :)

From one of the best in Town to worst in no time after new Management/Owner in action. Visited many Turkish kitchens around and "Original" Mosaic was place to go. But.. New staff has 0 customer service experience with comments like "Why you not eating bread" it is up to us when we gonna eat. 3 tables to serve, waiting for food 50 minutes, waitress coming every 2 minutes telling food will be served in 2 minutes, even children started questioning why they checking on us so often. Waitress taking plates off the table "Why you didn't finished ketchup" I don't know, my son just took as much as he needed. FOOD: My mix grill came cold, children chicken shish came with chips when asked with rice. Wife ordered Lamb shish, came half lamb, half chicken. Waitress seen no problem and said it is only few £ differences in price. But it is not about £ it is about you ordered Lamb and got half dry chicken. Never seen such a wrong in one simple order. And there was no discount on bill for missing lamb whatsoever. To the new owner: If no action taken you will lose customer base, as people expects same or better than Original Mosaic. Be honest with customers. To the Waitress: If food ain't coming on the table in 2 minutes don't say it. Better under promise and over deliver. Food waiting time 30 minutes, but coming in 15. Boom.. everyone happy. Don't check on the customers so often, especially when they don't have food on the table. One time is enough, do not stand and watch next to the table, leave some space. Don't comment on why customer didn't finished bowl of ketchup (maybe 200g is way tooo much, try 50g) or why they didn't started eating bread. Not sure we will go there again.

Our menus were then swapped to the same menus but with numerous items crossed out. Okay, no problem. Chose our food. Starters came, nice enough. Outside they were also advertising buy 1st drink get second half price on a Thursday, happy days, so ordered 2 drinks each. After starters were cleared (we took some time with them) about 45 minutes went past, still no mains - it was a very hot day and no air con so we were starting to get restless at this point and asked if we could take our mains away instead - they bagged/boxed them up for us no problem. It's worth mentioning the restaurant was very quiet at this point too so not sure why there was such a delay but wasn't too fussed at that point. Bill came - this is where the issues came, it was a full bill - I mentioned again I had a voucher. Okay took some off - still a starter on there - not sure why as we only order 2 as per the deal - was advised that starter was actually for 2 people - no one told us this and it did not mention it anywhere - apparently this was our issue. I advised we would not have ordered another if we had known as we didn't eat it all anyway. All drinks were also full price - I mentioned about the deal (which I had also mentioned at the start of our meal and was advised it was running as advertised) and the other waiter/supervisor (who knows), advised we couldn't have that deal in conjunction with our Groupon offer. Again no mention of this anywhere and we were told otherwise but again apparently that was our issue, okay no problem. Mentioned about the starter issue not being our fault and was told 'we will sort this for you'. Got given a bill with a starter still on it - was told again , could only deduct one off it. At this point I was very embarrassed with all the commotion and just wanted to leave so I paid the bill which was £58.05. It was not until I realised after that the 2 drinks we ordered each would have come to £30 (full price) and the one starter I had to pay for was (£8.75) and we also had a side of chips for £3.25. That was all that was left after the deal. That comes to £42 as per their menus on their website. So not only did we have a very poor experience, and not able to finish our meal inside, I have also been overcharged £16.05, on top of being overcharged for starters and drinks even though we weren't told otherwise. The waitress was nice and even admitted it was her error but apparently that means nothing to this business. In conclusion, what should have been a 'discounted' meal actually ended up costing us £100 and to add insult to injury they already offer 25% off food on Thursdays so we would have been better off not having the voucher at all and using the advertised promotions instead. It was a present for my partner which turned very sour and put us out of pocket. I want to warn anyone else to not buy the Groupon deal and to give the restaurant the opportunity to respond as to why they have stolen an extra £16 from me. EXCELLENT Food ! Everything fresh and delicious

Food was amazing, the venue makes you feel like your abroad in a Mediterranean restaurant but for us the atmosphere wasn't there. Only 3 tables at 7.30 on a Friday night, the music was being played on Spotify and kept having adverts mid way through or where kept being skipped so with a quite restaurant was so noticeable. Where it was so dead the staff were lovely but kept coming over or hovering near by so hard to have a conversation. Such a shame as a lovely place and food and seen great reviews but the atmosphere killed it for us and where wasn't busy we was finished within an hour.

We visited midweek evening for my daughter's graduation dinner. The restaurant is under new ownership. Orla and the team were most helpful and accommodating of 24 of us. The food was good, staff were friendly and we had an enjoyable evening.

No alcohol licence at the moment, but I saw someone bringing their own. It's probably only temporary as we had wine and beer on a previous visit.

Worst Restaurant. I am shocked to see this many fake reviews. Manager is a buffalo qnd has no sense at all, shoiting at us. Doesnt know what he is doing. Food poisoned and gave us bad food because we argued with him. worst service.

We visited with a Groupon Voucher which meant that we had a somewhat restricted c Menu with rather a lot of very similar options! The service was somewhat inattentive but the food was really nice - freshly cooked and certainly plentiful! A very nice and unexpected touch was the complimentary flatbreads and sauces. We shall give it a go again.

Placed my order at 17:53, by 19:00 it still hadn't arrived. Called the restaurant at 19:00 to be told it would be "5 or 10 minutes"..by 19:40 it still hadn't arrived. I called the restaurant again to be told the driver was "2 minutes away" so I stayed on the call and the driver didn't show up. I told the restaurant waiting 2 hours for a delivery wasn't acceptable, to be accused of lieing...then to be shouted at by the restaurant, and told that the driver will be turning around, then they hung up

The order was late due to a technical problem, however the staff at Mosaic were very helpful in resolving the issue and delivered the food as soon as possible (with a complimentary pudding). The meal itself was very nice and both my wife and I enjoyed it a lot.

Order turned up 30 minutes late and cold . Ordered 2 mixed grill but only had one piece of chicken and one piece of lamb inside each box . Looks like a children’s happy meal

Lunched here today. Very friendly service and super tasty food. There was a problem with their drinks licence so it was soft drinks only, but prices here were very steep (£3.75 for a bottle of diet Coke). Lovely rice and salads accompanied the meals. Couldn't fit in a dessert. Will be back, when hopefully their drinks licence is sorted.

My son celebrated his 18th birthday there with 6 of his friends. I spoke with Ezel (manager) [apology if I misspelled the name] about the location of the tables, brought decorations and Ezel made the magic happen!!! Excel and his team were great!! They went above and beyond to take care of dinner/celebration!!! I cannot thank them enough!!! The was fantastic as usual! My son and all his guests were amazed!! Thank you guys for everything!!!

I tried to order twice yesterday using your app, mosaic,Chelmsford, £74.20. On both occasions my payment was rejected stating there was an error. I contacted the Restuarant by phone twice and no order had been received, they also stated that your system was not working correctly at the Restuarant. I then paid them over the phone the £74.20 And the food was delivered a short time later. I find this morning that I have now been charged £74.20 by both Restuarant and Just Eat. The Just Eat app now s

Fabulous food. Warm and tasty. Great portion sizes. Our request in the notes section was honoured. BUT.... slightly disgruntled by the fact it was delivered about half hour early. We had planned our stuff around the delivery time 😕
