This was our first time eating here and we really couldn’t fault it! The food was to die for and definitely worth the money! But the girl that served us was what made our night the best ! She was so helpful attentive and friendly (blonde haired girl from Basildon ) we would return in a heartbeat !

Worked here a while ago. Place is a joke. Manager cuts off incoming take away orders when it gets busy because he couldn't run a bath let alone a restaurant. As a take away driver that was the last straw after a string of broken promises I voted with my feet the next day came in at start of shift and told them I'm too good for this sort of chaotic management. Staff great food great management absolutely appalling and exploitative

Restaurant manager was a complete plank..fawning all over the customers then screaming like a big wuss at the kitchen staff. An economy version of Gordon Ramsey with a bad attitude and doing the reputation of turkish people no favours, if u want real turkish food at uninflated prices try super doner on broomfield parade great food great atmosphere great people great food. Avoid Mosaic like the plague unless you agree with treating staff like serfs

Lovely place to eat and with a very good selection of foods to choose from. And one of the best parts the serve Turkish Turborg 👍 The staff are very helpful and friendly would recommend.

Absolutely diabolical service!!! In all the years we have been going out for dinner never have I experienced anything like this restaurant My wife has been on a number of occasions and its been ok.l, but tonight was an exception!! We arrived at 7.20pm and ordered drinks which took forever to arrive. How many times must we ask for our drinks?? We waited Two hours for our main course to arrive and in the end we got up and walked out. The manager who I spoke with must take responsibility for his restaurant and his staff, who incedently were USELESS!! Never ever again.

Had a table booked for 3 people for lunch. Drove 2hrs to meet them to arrive and then be told that they have decided to close today for lunch! Complete joke

Ordered a delivery of 2 large shish kebabs & portion of halloumi. It arrived 35 mins after the end of the estimated delivery slot (i.e. nearly 2 hours after placing the order) I had to phone them to find out where it was (we only live a mile away!. On arrival, we untied the bag but it must’ve been tipped upside down on the way to us, so red cabbage juice had leaked from the salads and was all over everything. The chicken was almost cold & it was dry as if it wasn’t freshly cooked, rice was cold. The top piece of bread in the foil bag was ok but the rest of the pieces underneath were wet & soggy. Extremely disappointing, especially as it’s not cheap, we expected better, and we will not be ordering again from there unfortunately.

Our favourite Turkish restaurant around! Have been here many times over the years including for my partners birthday last year! Went again tonight and there was a mix up with the dishes but this was resolved quickly. The lovely gentleman who I believe to be the owner sorted us out with some free puddings which were lovely! The food is always amazing and the service is always given with a smile. ☺️

On Saturday 22/12/2023 my group (consisting of 9 people) went to Mosaic in Chelmsford for a Christmas meal and we had paid £50 deposit due to being a large table. We have been once before and couldn’t fault the service however when we went before it wasn’t busy. When we got there, it took the waiter 30 minutes to eventually approach our table and take our drink orders. We didn’t get our main meals until 21:15 after having chased them twice and being told it was 5 minutes away however we got the food around 20 minutes after that. Whilst we was at our table, there was a large group of kids sat on one table and the next table was their families/ parents behind us. 5 minutes into being there and the mother of the children was screaming at the kids, to the point where the restaurant went silent for the 4 times it happened and all turned look at her. The children sat behind us were throwing food for around 10 minutes. At no point did any staff or manager at the restaurant go over and tell them to stop. The children also were shouting and making really loud silly noises and shouting insulting words really loudly making people turn around. Their families didn’t tell them to stop and again at no point the manager didn’t tell them to stop. At around 2030, whilst still waiting for our mains, the restaurant had a table of men who were very drunk. One man stumbled to the toilet and vomitted everywhere in the toilets, so that others did not want to use. The toilets were around 5-6 meters from our table so it was hard to not see the cuffuffle outside. This male then proceeded to leave the toilets covered in point through the restaurant. At no point did any member of staff challenge them and it was clear that they were happy to take the customers money when buying the drinks. When the food finally arrived, the food was average. On two occasions we was given the wrong food for our table. One of my group being a vegetarian got given meat and then when told it wasn’t her food, after eating some chips, this wasn’t taken back to the kitchen, the staff member took it to the correct table!! Another vegetarian also never got his food( tomato pasta dish) We asked where it was and they served some dry pasta with some watery tomato sauce. This was very quickly returned to the kitchen and they took this and the other pasta dish off the bill. When it came to waiting 30 minutes for the bill after asking for it, the bill was £240. We complained and stated that the service was poor. Although the restaurant was busy, most of the staff were milling about and not doing much. The staff member said we will take another price of a meal off and went and printed another receipt however this still showed £240. I complained and he said that he spoke to the manager who said no we won’t be getting any money off the bill. We left and then quickly returned to remember that we had paid a £50 deposit that we wanted returned. This was returned to us in cash. In summary, myself or any members of my group will not be returning to this restaurant. The food is average, overpriced and the service was very bad.

Service was 10/10, Ezel and colleague were great, Ezel made sure my 7 year old son was happy and comfortable, the food was great with massive portions, thanks for singing for my sons 18th birthday Ezel, made us happy. I would definitely recommend because of the service, I have been to similar restaurants and the service has made me never return, first time here and will definitely come back

I want to share a very bad review for this place. We ordered dinner to treat ourselves after working day. What we got for the price 12£ per person was disgraceful. THREE dry, tasteless chicken bits on a rice. Chips soft and soggy. I found this quality so disrespectful to clients. I never recommend ordering take away food from Mosaic Express. It was waste of money.

Very unique restaurant, unusual decor that is refreshingly different. It's authentic and cosy. Food is v. Good and management is very friendly and welcoming. The 2for1 meerkat meals deal is amazing too. Thanks for a lovely meal. 😍

This is not the best nor my favourite Turkish restaurant but it is excellent and certainly deserves the five stars I gave it. For me it’s “best in” category is it’s bread. The bread here tastes fabulous; seasoned and with a crispness. A chat but not burnt. Gorgeous. I have to make sure I don’t simply hoover up all the bread and the dips which arrive first before the main food arrives. The food itself is fantastic and Mosaic is certainly thee best Turkish in Chelmsford. Quality food, good ingredients, great value. A beautiful restaurant. Friendly staff. I love it.

Came here for lunch with family as they spoke highly of the place. It was a beautiful surrounding, feels like you are eating abroad in turkey - really lovely ambience, atmosphere and very comfortable. Food was delicious and service was great - we will defiantly return. Not rushed at all and really looked after.

My wife and family live only a 10 minute walk from Mosaic. We always used to walk past on our way to the town to have a good meal with the abundance of restaurants in Chelmsford. My wife used to say that restaurant looks really nice as we walked past , so I booked a table for my wife's birthday with my twin sons . So Saturday 24th of June we turned up , I have to admit I wasn't expecting to much, how wrong was I . We were greeted with very friendly and polite staff into an air conditioned , clean and impressive restaurant , the decor is truly amazing with an ambiance of style and quality . We ordered our food , I won't go into the full order but . my twin boys are both 6'3 and have a very good appetite and they were more than impressed with the portion sizes, but my wife and I were more impressed with the quality of the food , unfortunately my wife and I couldn't eat it all . Have to say that I was so impressed my wife and I and one of my son's returned today 25th June 2023 and greeted with the same quality experience that we had the day before ...,. I have read some of the negative reviews for this restaurant today and I must admit if I had have read them before I definitely would not have tried this restaurant... But luckily I tried before I read . Very impressed and very lucky to have such a good quality restaurant within a ten minute walk from me. Will definitely return

Went in on a Sunday afternoon. Vibe & Decor 5/5. Service 5/5 (nothing was too much for Ezel and service was always focused, friendly and polite with adults and kids). Food 4.5/5 (tasty however, served warm and not hot. Not sure if it was mis-timed or if the actual plates were cold). Portion Sizes: 5/5 (all fair for the price). Drinks 5/5 (they do a lovely Pina Colada, Virgin Passion Fruit Mojito and Passion Fruit Bellini). Parking 4.5/5 (nearby single yellow lines on a Sunday but otherwise the Riverside car parks are close enough). We asked for some changes to the menu items selected and they were all done with ease. Will definitely go back. Bring cash for the staff tip. You can pay by card for the food, however. Our favourite Turkish in Chelmsford alongside Moda.

After having never visited before but always wanting to, me and a friend visited this evening, knowing that it was available on tastecard. Upon arrival we queried the tastecard with the waiter who confirmed that starters and mains were 241. We ordered 2 starters and 2 mains along with a bottle of house white wine. The food was tasty, however the calamari starter was slightly stringy, the rest was cooked to perfection and good portion sizes. The white wine, although tasty, did however have some crusty residue floating inside which was bitty and hard. Not what I would expect when paying £20 for a bottle of wine. When coming to pay the bill, only the mains were taken off on the 241 deal and not the starters. When questioned the waitress who presented the bill said it was only mains that were 241. After explaining more than once, that the previous waiter said that starters were 241 too, she didn’t seem to care or acknowledge this and brushed this off saying that it was better for us to get the groupon deal in the future as it was better value for money. Safe to say there will not be a future visit.

We have driven past so many times and always said how nice it smells, finally went last night and the food tasted as good as it smells! The portions were generous, the flavours were fantastic and I honestly can't fault it. The service was attentive without being overbearing and all the staff were friendly and polite. Apologies there are no photos, the food was so nice we ate it before we thought about taking pictures for a review! We came here for lunch at 12 pm, the inside is authentically decorated, tables were set up beautifully, spotlessly clean and very spacious. Our server was so helpful and polite as well as his co-workers,everyone was really friendly. We ordered a chicken shish that came with rice,salad,fresh dips and Turkish bread. It was honestly the best Greek food we have ever had, juicy,tender chicken,full of flavour, extra fluffy rice and a salad with delicious dressing. We also had a cappuccino and mocha, again such delicious coffees, really strong and tasty. When the bill came I couldn’t believe it was £22.50 for everything!We paid that in Starbucks for two coffee and a couple of toasties!Such good value for money. Please don’t let the fact that there is no parking on site put you off, just park a few minutes down the road and walk up, it is well worth it. This is our new go to lunchtime spot now whenever we are in Chelmsford.

We just had an amazing dinner at Mosaic. Everything looked so delicious when it came to the table, I forgot to take photos! We started with the grilled octopus, which was cooked to perfection with an indulgent garlic butter. I had the kleftiko, which was so tender and incredible. My partner had the lamb iskander and said it's the best he's ever had. The service was great. When we were full, they were more than happy to pack it up for us to go. I'm still thinking about that lamb, so I will probably get into it again soon for a midnight treat!

A beautiful restaurant in Springfield Road, the decor is so lovely and gives you a taste of Turkish culture. The staff are so friendly and welcoming nothing is too much trouble. The food is served in huge portions and tastes so nice. I have been a few times and never been disappointed. The cocktails are scrumptious and plentiful. Give yourself a treat and visit you won't be disappointed.

We had our wedding party last Saturday evening. The staff was wonderful and the food amazing. We really had a very nice party, all thanks to the help of Ezel and Helder and of course of all the staff. I would definitely reccomend this restaurant and we will happily return.

Awful experience, the staff member busy chatting with the customers and ignoring people while seated on table almost for half an hour or more, let’s people enjoy their food as they’re paying for it, asking silly questions what’s your job? etc…people in the middle of conversation with family or friends they just poke in their nose, the food service was very bad, bring all together when it’s ready, literally the gap between different orders was more than 20min, which is a joke, further it’s very expensive too, I would advise the owner to train your staffs, especially the guy with a long hair, customers are coming to enjoy their food and have some conversation with friends and family, they’re NOT coming for chat with restaurant staff members, yes you can ask questions about your service, food once they finish but it’s very inappropriate to ask personal questions.

I had takeaway from here for the first time it was excellent. The mosque is in the building of Kunsthalle, the main entrance is from the side where Indian restaurant is located, it’s on 2nd floor, there’s small separate sitting room, area for wudoo and place for shoes, nicely decorated

I've had a few takeaways from here and I've always found it strange that you can't buy extra sauces. Even tried calling and typing in special requests but they rarely bring extra dip. So decided to go in to have a meal and asked for extra dip they said 'sure, straight away' and never brought it over 🤣. I'm not sure what's going on but the food is decent just let me buy extra dip please!

Went for valentines night wasn't told there was a different menu to what's online was a set 3 course meal .. waited ages for good staff were friendly but experience was just a bit of a let down really.

Experience was dreadful I was seated at my table and ignored for 45 minutes and I noticed the couple on the table next to me ask for bread and drinks 3 times and never got them and after an hour the couple next to me had there food come out and the meat looked dry and burnt so me and my partner got up and left as we didn’t ever get given a drink to have while we waited maybe I was ignored because I was young but I was shocked by the way we was ignored for a hour with no one coming for us to even order a drink let alone food was excited at first as the decor looked good but to wait and hour and not even be given a drink is ridiculous

We ate for the first time at this restaurant and couldn't fault it at all. The food was really lovely and plentiful I couldn't finish all of my main meal. I put a 4 star for atmosphere because it was during the week so was a quieter night which I prefer. We will definitely be back to try more dishes

I presume this is the same as ordering from Mosaic Express if so then we did our first order this evening from just eat and the food is absolutely beautiful, the best Turkish I've had as a take away in Chelmsford, the falafel just melted in our mouths the chicken shish wrap was delicious and a good size my husband's chicken beyati was very well flavoured and cooked. They added in a few freebees which was very kind. Will definitely try going to the restaurant next time.
