We chose the Lodge for my dad's 80th birthday celebrations. We could not have chosen anywhere better. There were 22 of us. The food was amazing, service impeccable and the Staff could not have been more accommodating and helpful. We will definitely return, as will so many of the first timers in the party. A real hidden gem

I had to write a review about this Premier Inn because the staff here are INCREDIBLE, which makes the whole experience so much better! They are clearly working really hard to create a friendly and welcoming hotel, even when it's a chain. Selina in particular was an absolute gem - I can't thank her enough for her help, friendliness, joy and kindness at breakfast (she even gave us a little handmade gift when we left, nothing to do with the Premier Inn, but just something she gives away to people as an act of kindness! We were so touched). Thank you Selina and the team for making our stay so great, really appreciate you and the work you do :)

We went at a very quiet time on a Sunday so had the reduced menu. We were quick to make our order however they were very slow with food and drinks. The waitress was unsure of the menu and what the meals consisted of, when she asked a colleague, they were rude and dismissive. When we were waiting, we were asked what we were waiting for? Understand being forgotten about on a busy night but it was just us and one other table. The coke was flat, the spoon was dirty. The haddock and mash was OK but didn’t make up for the slow and rude service. Overpriced. One waitress recommended to another customer to use Just Eat and we wish we did too.

Booking is essential. Staff are lovely. Service slow. Food very big portions. Good variety of gluten-free and other allergies options. The small bites are very large 4 pieces of garlic bread. Ploughman's freshly cut thick ham. Unfortunately, the gluten-free bread was very stale. Herb butter was really nice. Cheese was really nice Big portion of salad. The turkey sandwich fresh and full of filling.

Drive past here often and never looks appealing and always looks quiet!!! Choose here as not far from my family and took them for a Sunday lunch. I was in for a shock the place was really busy so obviously a popular place. Environment was warm and welcoming. Service was exceptional and food was really tasty and plenty of it. Would go again.

Surprisingly busy for a Saturday, pleased I booked a table in advance. Good variety on the menu, drinks served quickly by a very friendly waitress. Bit of a wait for the food, but the restaurant was busy, well worth the wait, piping hot food and great value for money. Would definitely recommend

Very average food not great won’t go again. Curry was nice. Burgers tasteless and no salad just chips. Tiramisu - good choux bun with tasteless gloopy grey custard. Awful. Expensive and more than my weeks shop for mostly bland food. Serving staff pleasant if a little slow. Nice view.

Very over ratedtwo of us visited I had large breakfast my partner had half breakfast came to £26 !! very disappointing you wouldn't mind paying the. price if the food was different to the ordinary greasy spoon who would be half the price it was not sausages were hard.bacon looked as if it had been cooked on a trouser press !! two fried eggs one 'tossed' onto the other ! and frozen chips which definitely did not compliment the breakfast ! ordered bread got toast. talking to friends. bread gone past sell by date ! no sugar in sugar dish !! added up total cost to cafe of food on our plates came to about at most £4 not bad profit £22 ! overall disgusting if your looking for decent breakfast and at a fair price try to avoid this cafe
