Stayed here for a night for work. The room was lovely but the staff are who made the experience very pleasant for me. From the very nice lady who checked me in and lent me a fork, to the lovely lady who helped me at breakfast Selina. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I've stayed in a lot of hotels over the years and have to say the friendliness of the staff at this Premier inn will take some beating. They were exceptionally pleasant, helpful and treated myself and family with respect and courtesy, they were so nice to my two very young grandsons. I'd recommend this accommodation for it's location, cleanliness and of course the standard of customer service offered by the staff we came across. This was my first time staying in a Premier inn, great value and I'd, without doubt, wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

The best thing about this place is the staff! So lovely and helpful. So cheerful! Special mention for Selina who served us in the restaurant for breakfast. She was a beam of sunshine in a cloudy day! So caring and helpful, so friendly and went above and beyond her duties to make our visit special. Hold on to her she is a treasure! Natalie, who checked us in was lovely too and deserves a mention. Our room was good but a little tired and toilet not as clean as I would have liked and towels looked a bit off colour. Some USB points would have been lovely. But we were comfortable and beds are amazing. Thank you to all the staff.

I enjoyed a lovely short stay here recently. My favourite part of it was the unlimited breakfast! It was fresh and cooked to order and it set me up perfectly for the day ahead. The receptionist, Charlie (I think that's what her name was) was very helpful and accommodating.

Lovely hotel, the staff we absolutely amazing, every single one of them are an absolute credit to the company. They really couldn't do enough for us. We have stayed in some incredibly expensive hotels this year when we went on honeymoon, they were certainly not worth the extra expense, this is such good value for money, the breakfast must have been one of the best we have ever had. I was slightly sceptical when I had to ask for how many pieces to be included, but it didn't worry them when I asked for a large portion, it was all cooked fresh and because of that it turned out much better than a help yourself buffet. The rooms were immaculately clean, though clearly getting a little tired from use, but still serviceable and the things that matter like carpets, mattress, bedding and towels were all excellent Very close to Ispwich and it's park and ride, too The pub next door had a nice selection of value for money meals too

I had to write a review about this Premier Inn because the staff here are INCREDIBLE, which makes the whole experience so much better! They are clearly working really hard to create a friendly and welcoming hotel, even when it's a chain. Selina in particular was an absolute gem - I can't thank her enough for her help, friendliness, joy and kindness at breakfast (she even gave us a little handmade gift when we left, nothing to do with the Premier Inn, but just something she gives away to people as an act of kindness! We were so touched). Thank you Selina and the team for making our stay so great, really appreciate you and the work you do :)

Lenny Henry has let the side down with this one. I'm quite surprised to read so many good reviews. I'm not a fussy person at all but the experience we had was terrible. I've only just stayed at another Premier Inn up in Newport near Telford a week ago and that was miles better. Where do I start... 1. Booked a family room online. Asked if we wanted breakfast when booking and declined. On arrival we were asked again if we wanted breakfast. We said no thanks. We were then asked a third time by the same person if we were sure if we didn't want breakfast!? NO I DONT WANT TO ORDER BREAKFAST! Being mildly intelligent 40 year old adults I think we are capable of knowing if we do or do not want breakfast thank you and do not need to be asked three times. 2. On entering the room there was a slight smell of what I can only describe as twosies. Outside there was a drain cover not far from the window. 3. The family room size was a joke. Four of us in the room and with the beds made up there was no room to move. Only one chair and no sofa between four of us. 4. No air conditioning and with four sleeping in a tiny room had to open window as so stuffy. Could only hear road noise all night. 5. The family bathroom was just a shower. Young children don't shower. 6. So far not able to wash, not able to sit down, not able to breathe through my nose or sniff something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. 7. It gets worse... So the room being so small meant that the adult bed had no leg room to get into or out of the bed. I have prehiperal neuropathy, nerve damage to my leg. Had to throw myself into bed then forward roll myself to get out. Worse still the bed was pushed over to make room for the other two beds meaning my head was directly touching the light switches when lying on my pillow so every few minutes I accidently turned on the lights. 8. Zero sleep for me. Good night guaranteed? Where is the guarantee Lenny? 9. Gets even worse. It seems the electrics are dodgy in the room. The light switches are loose and broken. The one by my head and also the other side was flickering and buzzing. 10. Consistency. How come for cheaper than this room I can stay in another Premier inn in and have a totally different and better experience? The other booking I got Aircon, room twice the size, bath and shower etc.? 11. Found out the shower is for Suffolk sized people, ie short. I'm less than 6ft and my head pretty much touched the top of the shower head so had to bend my legs to wash. Didn't bother in the end. 12. Go to reception in the morning to complain and guess what? No one there, just a box to post back your door card. I would like a refund. Guess that's never going to happen. 13. Unlucky for some, including me. The only good thing here is the location as you can drive away very quickly and never come back. A prison room has better facilities. Would I stay here or recommend? No way. Horrible experience and couldn't have been much worse.

Just stayed here for the weekend for a family wedding. The staff at this PI are so welcoming, friendly and cannot do enough for you. The restaurant in the morning offers a wide range for breakfast and the full English was amazing, fresh and hot with plenty of drink choice too. Forgot a belt for my partners suit and the gentleman who was in charge kindly gave his belt to my partner for the day, so kind, thats service above and beyond. Also to the young woman who cut my partner an additional key so I could go to bed. Would recommend this place in a heartbeat and would definitely stay here if visiting Ipswich again.

Recently ate at the Swan in Stratford and unfortunately became very unwell the day after. Management take no responsibility or even offer any sort of apology for poor preparation of the food even when it was very clear they caused the issue. 7 out of 9 of us ate the same food and all suffered because of it. Did not feel like a valued customer and considering the group I visited with spent £450 on starters, mains, deserts and a couple of drinks, I would not regard this as value for money. Suffered all week with severe stomach cramps and diarrhoea. No vomiting which suggests the food was either reheated or left out too long before serving. I can see other customers also complained about having warm food so they were clearly not on the ball on the day of the visit. I would strongly advise against eating here and if you do, I’d suggest bringing your own fly spray as flies were everywhere on the day we visited.
