Lovely food. Excellent staff. Nice atmosphere. Only one suggestion which is serve some tartrate sauce with the lovely whitebait. Otherwise this is a nice place to eat an exceptional sunday roast

We went at a very quiet time on a Sunday so had the reduced menu. We were quick to make our order however they were very slow with food and drinks. The waitress was unsure of the menu and what the meals consisted of, when she asked a colleague, they were rude and dismissive. When we were waiting, we were asked what we were waiting for? Understand being forgotten about on a busy night but it was just us and one other table. The coke was flat, the spoon was dirty. The haddock and mash was OK but didn’t make up for the slow and rude service. Overpriced. One waitress recommended to another customer to use Just Eat and we wish we did too.

This establishment is currently CLOSED. No sign yet of new owners: nothing but rumours! Hopefully a new venture can bring it back to what it was 20 years ago.

Last orders at 8.30pm on a saturday night in january? Next time I was staying at the hotel in february, last orders was advised by a notice in reception as 9.45. Nipped to bar at 9.30 to be refused service and rudely told bar was closed. Staff only interested in leaving as quickly as possible. Beer not kept well. Doom bar has bits in glass suggesting pipes not cleaned often enough. Food reasonable. Been using this place for 20 years, time for a change.

Portion size was very small. Ordered pie and mash. What arrived was a pot of pie filling with a tough and cold pastry lid. And a tiny spoonful of mash. My 3 year old had a kids meal of 2 sausages (huge sausages!) and mash, and her meal was larger than mine! I did complain but nothing came of it. Just "I'll let the kitchen know". We love the farm but wont return to the restaurant.

Thought it time to try this venue as most people seemed happy with it. Very disappointing breakfast menu and pricey for what was offered. Much like a roast lunch a decent breakfast such be a breeze for a place like this. Much better to be had and at a better price. ( Jimmys Farm for instance) As with the shop the owners just want to squeeze a high price for everything. The only plus was the great view - surprised they don't have a balcony.
